高中英语第一单元教学计划Unit 1: Myself
Teaching Objectives:
1. To introduce students to basic vocabulary and expressions related to personal information and daily activities.
2. To help students develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in English.
3. To encourage students to talk about themselves and their daily routines in English.
Teaching Content:
1. Vocabulary: name, age, birthday, family members, hobbies, daily routines, etc.
2. Grammar: present simple tense, possessive pronouns, question forms, etc.
3. Listening and speaking: listening to and speaking about personal information and daily activities.
4. Reading and writing: reading passages about personal information and writing short paragraphs about daily routines.
Teaching Procedures:
1. Warm-up (10 minutes)
- Greet the students and ask them to introduce themselves
in English, including their names, ages, and one hobby they enjoy.
- Play a "Guess Who" game where students take turns describing a classmate and the others guess who it is.
2. Presentation (20 minutes)
- Introduce new vocabulary related to personal information and daily activities, using pictures, flashcards, or realia to make the words more concrete for the students.
- Model and drill the pronunciation of the new words, and have students repeat after the teacher.
3. Practice (30 minutes)
- Have students work in pairs to ask and answer questions about personal information, such as "What's your name?" "How old are you?" "Do you have any siblings?" etc.
- Encourage students to use possessive pronouns to talk about their family members, e.g. "My father's name is..."
- Play a listening game where students listen to descriptions of daily routines and match them to the correct pictures.
4. Production (30 minutes)
- Ask students to write a short paragraph about their daily routines, using the present simple tense.
- Have students take turns reading their paragraphs aloud to the class, and provide feedback on their writing and speaking.
5. Consolidation (20 minutes)
- Review the new vocabulary and grammar points by playing a fun vocabulary game or doing a worksheet together as a class.
- Assign homework, such as writing a short dialogue between two people discussing their daily routines.
6. Assessment (10 minutes)
- Monitor students' speaking and writing during the lesson, and provide individual feedback and correction.
- Give students a short quiz to assess their understanding of the new vocabulary and grammar.
