Dear Disney,
Last weekend, the four members of my family spent an enjoyable holiday at the Magic Kingdom ,Disneyland. And one event made our visit seem truly magical.
We got to the front of the line at Space Mountain, only to find out that our little daughter Gloria couldn't take her ice-cream on the ride. We were so excited that we all forgot ice-cream was not allowed on the ride.
Gloria broke into tears and we all had no idea what to do. Then Murphy, one of the staff(员工) members, came over. She bent down and told Gloria that she would hold the ice-cream for her and give it to her when she finished the ride. Gloria said, "Promise?" Then she gave Murphy her ice-cream, and she completely enjoyed the ride.
Sure enough, as we walked out the exit, there was Gloria's new friend with "her" ice-cream. Now you and I both know what happened, because we know that an ice-cream won't last twenty minutes on a summer afternoon in Florida. Murphy knew what time we would get off the ride; she went to the nearest shop and bought a brand-new ice-cream thirty seconds before we walked out the exit. Gloria said, "Thank you," but I'm sure she thought it was the same ice-cream.
We know that someone tried hard to make our visit special. Thanks so much for going above and beyond!
Your fan,
Carmen Rivera

Forget about expensive gyms, the new sport in cities is free-running. Since it started in a Paris suburb around 1995, free-running has attracted lots of fans in cities around the world. Instead of walking normally, free-runners jump over or around anything―cars, buildings, trees, or streetlights―in their way.
One of the sport’s inventors told our reporter how free-running started.
It was boring where we lived. There was nothing for us to do after school. We had done playground games like football and basketball when we were kids but we wanted something new and exciting. We started learning how to jump and run between buildings―and we loved it. Walking is a waste of time. Free-runners have to use their imaginations. Every thing―a tree, a streetlight―is part of our outdoor gym. We’re like children because we have never stopped playing in the street.
The sport’s website has lots of rules, for example, don’t break people’s windows, don’t jump on flowerbeds and don’t be rude to people who want you to stop. Safety is also very important. You must start with the easy moves―you have to do thousands of small practice jumps before you try anything difficult. If you made only one mistake, you might hurt yourself badly.
A local pers on said, “It’s good that young people have something to do. But when they jump off buildings like cats they sometimes frighten other people.”
Don’t try this at home the basics of free-running
Blind Jump a jump where you can’t see the landing spot.

There are many things you can do to keep friendship strong forever.
Trust is very important in keeping any relationship strong and long lasting. If you trust the person whom you have a good relationship with and the other person also trust you in the same way, then you two have a good relationship.
You can remember important date of your friends such as their birthdays and wish them or give gifts to them on this special days. Many people say that money is the most important thing to consider, but remember friendship is not about money. You can find something small and inexpensive for their gifts or send online cards.
A friend should also always help others even when it is not very convenient. So have a helping hand ready at all times.
Sometimes distance makes relationships even closer. So, if you are far from your friends, there are many ways you can remain in contact(联系). You can use email, chat programs, and you can also write a blog and share your daily life activities with your friends.
If there is anything that makes you happy, share it with your friends. Listen to their thoughts as well. If they have achieved something noticeable, congratulate them and celebrate with them.
I have seen good friendships and when there is unhealthy competition between two friends. Though this may not happen in many cases, it is better to keep this idea in mind since it may happen to you.
As far as I have seen and experienced, it will be better not to either lend to or borrow money from your good friend. Of course, we have to do this with friends. But, attention should be paid so that your friendship may not end.

The climate of any place is the kind of weather it usually has over a long period of time. The kinds of homes we live in, the clothes we wear, even the foods we eat depend on the climate of the place where we live.
Climate is a complicated pattern; it is affected by many things. Nearness to the North or South Pole or to the equator(赤道)is important . If you live near one of the poles, you live in a cold climate, for you do not get as much
or as direct sunshines as you would get farther from the poles. If you live near the equator, you live in a warm climate, for this is the region where the sun shines almost straight down.
How much rain or snow falls makes a great difference to the climate. You may live in a hot dry land, where little rain falls. This will be desert. Its climate is quite different from that of a rainforest, which may be the same distance from the equator but where rain falls almost every day . The amount of rain that falls or snows, in a cold land depends upon the cloud winds, upon the surrounding mountains, upon the currents( 气流) in nearby seas. Rainfall depends on many different things.
