Unit 2 I saw a terrible movie
Good evening, everyone. I’m very happy to be here to share my teaching ideas with you. The content I share you is “unit 2 I saw a terrible movie”. In my speech, it will consist of the following six parts.

Part I Analysis of the teaching material(教材分析)
I Status and Function (地位和作用)
英语是中等职业学校学生一门必修的文化基础课程,也是对口升学考试中一门必考科目。

“ I saw a terrible movie”, 这个单元是中等职业教育课程改革国家规划新教材《英语2(基础模块)》第二单元内容.本单元的核心话题是“talk about past activities”, 该话题与学生的生活联系密切,能引起学生的共鸣。

学生在第一单元学习了用一般过去时的肯定句和否定句来描述过去发生的事情,本单元要求学生更熟练地使用一般过去时的肯定句和否定句,能够在给定的情境下使用一般过去时的疑问句来谈论自己曾经做过的一些事,为下一单元学习奠定基础。

II Teaching Aims
1)Knowledge goals (知识目标)
Master some key vocabulary and sentence patterns
Master the simple past tense
b. sentence patterns:
What did you do last weekend?
Did you do anything special?
What type of music/ movie did you like in the past?
I liked/preferred …
I think it is …to do
2) Ability goals (能力目标)
According to the language material, we should improve students’listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities.
3)Emotional goals( 情感目标)
①Enrich students’ school life
②Help students’ monitor their own learning
③Build students’ self-confidence and cooperation
4)Teaching key points and difficulties (教学重点,难点)
A.simple past tense
B.T alk about past activities using simple past tense
C.T rain students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities.
Part II. Analysis of students.
本单元的话题是周末娱乐活动,该话题贴近学生生活,能引发学生兴趣。

本单元设计与实施的对象是对口班二年级学生,该阶段的学生普遍思维比较活跃,兴趣较广,但对于我们的学生不可避免的存在英语基础薄弱的问题,特别是男生班学生。

他们大部分期待着提高英语水平,但是他们缺乏自信,不敢站起来说英语,因此授课我力求做到由浅入深,由易到难,从学生的实际水平和学习需求出发,引导学生完成学习任务,让他们体验到英语学习的快乐和成就感。

In order to meet the teaching demands and satisfy students’ individual interests, I will divide the unit into four periods. According to different periods, I will take different teaching methods. Such as communicative teaching methods, Task-based language teaching method,Presentation-- Conclusion teaching method,Conclusion-Practice teaching method.
Only by means of the four periods, it will achieve the whole unit task well.
Part IV. Learning methods
本单元主要的任务就是要让学生学会运用习得语言知识结合自己谈论自己曾经做过的一些事。

鉴于本单元的特点及学生现有知识水平,我准备引导学生采用“视听法,听说法,总结法”以及同学间的合作学习来增加练习机会,激发学习的兴趣。

Part V. Teaching Procedures
Next, I will talk about the main teaching procedures of each Period.
Period 1, listening and speaking, it will make preparations for language use of this unit. So it is necessary to master some vocabulary and sentences about weekend activities.这些内容为整个单元的学习活动做语言的必要准备,也让学生知道表达周末娱乐活动的部分短语,同时为完成本单元的任务做语言上的准备。

In order to train students’ listening ability, I will take the steps such as pre-listening, while-listening and post-listening.
In Pre-listening: Ask several students about their own weekend activities. Such as “what did you do last weekend?”通过师生对话,联系学生的生活实际,来了解听力的大概内容,以帮助学生更有目的的听。

While-listening is to Finish activity 3-4. 通过此活动,训练学生在听的过程中把握材料的大意,获取主要信息的能力,同时为说的活动做好语言铺垫能力.
In Post-listening : I will play the tape sentence by sentence and lead students to repeat them.在句子的跟读中,使学生掌握关于周末娱乐活动的重要句型。

为后面的说做好最基础的准备
Speaking is very important but difficult for students. To make students open their mouths to speak English in class. I will take the following steps:
Firstly,Read and underline: let students underline the weekend activities and I will show the sentences on the screen.
设计意图:阅读对话并划出关于娱乐活动的句子,让学生重点关注这些句子Secondly,Activity 6: let students read and repeat the conversation to finish activity 6 通过跟读对话,让学生对周末娱乐活动的句型进行反复口头表达。

为以下的对话操作作好语言上的准备。

At last,Practice and act: at first I will make a conversation with students as an example, then let students make dialogues in pairs.
设计意图:通过简单的对话操练,熟练运用谈论周末娱乐活动的句型。

通过教师给出例子来降低操作难度。

Period 2, reading and writing . After listening and speaking, students have mastered some vocabulary. This period is mainly to train students reading ability. In order to meet the demands, I designed the following steps.By skimming to finish activity 9:略读,个人活动,培养学生快速获取信息的能力。

Fast reading in groups to finish activity 10-11:泛读,小组活动,减轻学生阅读长篇文章的压力,让学生分组阅读每个段落分别汇报答案。

Careful reading to complete activity 12:细读,双人活动,考查学生理解和整合信息的能力,为写作做好充分准备。

After reading, let students read the passage loudly and find out some language points. Then ask them put forward some difficulties and I help them to conclude some language points. Such as the use of “spend”
Period 3, language in use. It is mainly about grammar of this unit. In order to help students master the question form of simple past tense, firstly, I will present the sentences of simple past tense in this unit and then help students conclude the usage of the question form of simple past tense.
通过例句向学生呈现动词一般过去时疑问句的基本用法,并帮助学生小结规律,然后通过完成activity 16-17 的练习,让学生熟练掌握一般过去时一般疑问句的用法。

Period 4 vocabulary practice and unit task. 本课时主要是通过各种方式创设具体情境,帮助学生使用和巩固本单元的重点词汇,并且利用本单元所学的语言知识,完成一个真实的交际任务。

In this period, I will lead students to recite some vocabulary by classifying words and phrases. Maybe it is easier to remember these words in this way. And then ask students to achieve a task. In the unit task, I will ask students to work in groups of four to do an “interview and report”. At the same time, encourage students to take part in some helpful activities.
After this, I designed homework of each period.
Part VI prediction and feedback
综观整个单元,我主要围绕教学目标,运用交际教学法,任务型教学法,讲练结合一体化教学法,通过学生的个人活动,双人活动,小组活动来充分激发学生学习英语的兴趣,培养英语学习的积极态度,把情感,态度与价值观融合在知识与能力目标中,努力为下一步学习英语打下坚实基础。

让学生能在课堂上享受到英语学习的成就感和满足感,让他们说出“English, I can do it”是我一直追求的目标.
