Literary works
The Tenth Muse Lately Sprung Up in America 《第十位缪斯在美洲出现》 This is Anne’s first publish work. It was taken to London without her knowledge by her brotherin-law, who put the work into the hands of a publisher. She was perhaps too shy to offer it herself. The title of this collection of poems complimented her, in classical allusion, as The Tenth Muse Lately Sprung Up in America.
Born in 1612 into a prosperous English family, Anne Dudley was given a wide education uncommon for girls at that time. In 1628 she married Simon Bradstreet, and two years later the couple migrated to North America. Her extensive literary production was managed along with the task of being a wilderness wife and the mother of eight children.
This poem indicates Anne’s belief in Bible. e.g.If ever two were one, then surely we.
(Genesis 2:24) "a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." (Matthew 19:6)"so they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate."

They kept one tune and played on the same string, Seeming to glory in their little art, Shall creatures abject thus their voices raise.
Compare with me, ye women, if you can. I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold,即使那座座金矿
Or all the riches that the Earth doth hold.
2,A repeating theme in Bradstreet's work is mortality. In many of her works, she talks about her own death and how it will affect her children and her life. 3,Some poems are written for her family. 4, Religious devotion
Conclusion
Bradstreet’s finest poems are those closest to her personal experience as a Puritan wife and mother living on the edge of the wilderness. Another theme in Bradstreet’s works was religious experiences. In her writing Bradstreet gives an insight of Puritan views of salvation and redemption.

Themes
1,The role of women is a common theme found in Bradstreet's poems. Living in a Puritan society, Women were expected to spend all their time cooking, cleaning, taking care of their children, and attending to their husband's every need. Bradstreet did not agree with idea that women were inferior to men.
