本套教材是广州教研室根据新课标编写的实验教材,教学内容具有知识量多,文化涉及面广,信息量大,在编辑上注重知识的重现的特点,有利于学生知识的学习和记忆。
Module 4 Stories and Fables重点让学生理解。
同时。
本节课是Module 4 中Unit 11 The Lion and the Mouse 第一课时,本节课的重点是。

1.本课时词汇多,句型长,但课文内容容易理解,与我们的实际生活相距甚远,加入文化常识的学习,增强情景的创设,要借助课件给学生直观的理解。
2.句型Is Christmas the most important festival in Britain? / And it’s the most popular festival in western countries. / We have lots of parties and no school, and father Christmas brings presents to all the children.较难上口,通过多次的机械性操练及读的游戏,协助学生上口。
四、学生学情分析:
六年级学生已基本养成了较好的学习习惯,自主学习水平比较强,乐于和同学分享自己的学习经验和方法,他们喜欢和老师一起去学习,共同解决学习上的难题。
具备初步的使用英语实行听、说、读、写的水平,喜欢生动有趣和自主学习的方式,乐于和别人合作学习,他们也养成了爱评价的好习惯,通过评价学生的学习兴趣也提升了。
五、教学策略:
在教学过程中,使用多媒体、歌曲、情景、游戏和活动等方式激发学生的学习热情,鼓励学生学习英语并使用英语实行交流。
六、教学过程:
Step 1. Leading-in:
1.Group the pupils with the names of animals.
2.Greeting.
3.Talk about the king of animals.
4.Learn the title: Unit 11 The Lion and the Mouse.
Step 2.Pre-reading:
To learn some new words and sentences by telling the story:
1. The teacher tells the story for the first time, while learning some new words
and sentences. Pay attention to the new words and sentences.
2.Retell the story; let the pupils try to tell the story with the teacher.
3.The pupils tell the story with the teacher’s help.
Step 3.While-reading:
1.Listen and watch the Flash of the fable, and answer the questions.
2.Learn the moral: The small can help the great.
3.Read the story after the teacher. Pay attentions to the pronunciation and
intonation of different figures. Guide the pupils to imitate the different tone in telling the fable.
Step 4 Post-reading:
1.Read the fable in role in the class.
2.Read the fable in role in groups.
Step 5 Further-reading:
1.Read the story in groups: The Ant and the Dove.
(1)Pay attention to some new words.
(2)Read and share the story in groups.
2.Decide if the statements about the story are true or false.

The Ant And The Dove(蚂蚁与鸽子)
One day a little ant was walking by a river. His foot slipped(滑倒)and he fell into the water. “Oh, help, help!” cried(大叫)the ant. A dove was sitting in a tree over the river and heard(听见,hear的过去式) his cry of help. “Oh, poor ant!” said the dove. “I will help the ant.”
The dove picked up a leaf and dropped(掉落)it near the ant. “Here is a leaf. Climb on it,” said the dove. The ant climbed on it and floated(漂浮)to the bank.
A few days later, a hunter(猎人) saw the dove and was going to shoot(射击) her. Just then the ant saw that and said to himself, “This time I must help the dove.” The ant ran to the hunter and bit his foot hard. The hunter jumped up and couldn’t shoot the dove. The dove said to the ant, “Thank you very much, my little friend. You have saved my life,” and she could fly away happily.
