My name is Jake and I'm 15 years old. Recently I have developed a new interest – reading classic novels. I used to prefer playing video games in my spare time, but now I find books more attractive.
I started this hobby after my English teacher recommended "Jane Eyre" to me. At first, I didn't have much confidence in reading novels because I thought they were too difficult. But to my surprise, I enjoyed "Jane Eyre" from the very beginning. The story was interesting and the language was not as hard as I had expected. Soon afterwards, I tried more classical novels and found each of them fascinating. Now I spend at least an hour every day reading.
My parents are happy to see me developing such a good habit. They always encourage me to discover new genres of literature. They often share their own reading experiences with me and give me advice on which books to read. Now we sometimes read the same book at the same time and discuss it together. This is a great way to connect with my parents and I truly appreciate it.
In conclusion, reading classic novels has not only helped me improve my language skills, but also brought me closer to my family. I will continue this hobby and explore more amazing stories in the future.
