Imagine Becoming a Little Bird
I was just an ordinary 6th grade kid, going about my daily routine. Wake up, get dressed, eat breakfast, catch the bus to school. But one morning, something extraordinary happened that changed my whole world.
It started off as a pretty normal day. My mom came into my room to wake me up like she does every morning. "Time to get up for school, sleepyhead!" she said in a singsong voice as she opened the curtains. I groaned and pulled the covers over my head, trying to hide from the bright sunlight streaming through my window.
"Mom, five more minutes?" I pleaded from underneath the covers. But she wasn't having any of it.
