I always wanted to pursue a higher education, but life got in the way. I had to work to support myself and my family, and going to college seemed like a distant dream. However, I never gave up on the idea of getting a degree.
One day, I stumbled upon the opportunity to take the entrance exam for a bachelor's degree in engineering. I was nervous, but I knew I had to give it a shot. To my surprise,
I passed the exam and was accepted into the program. It was
a dream come true.
Studying engineering is no walk in the park. The coursework is challenging, and I often find myself
struggling to keep up. However, I am determined to succeed, and I am willing to put in the hard work to make it happen.
One of the things I love about studying engineering is the hands-on experience I get in the lab. It's one thing to learn about theories and concepts in the classroom, but
actually applying them in real-life experiments is a whole different ball game. It's where I feel like I truly understand the material.
Being a mature student in a class full of younger students can be intimidating at times. I often feel like I don't fit in, but I remind myself that I bring a different perspective to the table. My life experience and work ethic set me apart, and I have to embrace that.
Balancing work, family, and school is no easy feat. There are days when I feel like I'm on the verge of burning out, but I remind myself of the end goal. I want to set an example for my children and show them that it's never too late to pursue your dreams.
Overall, the journey of pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering as a mature student has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. I have grown both academically and personally, and I am excited to see where this path takes me.。
