Learning the past tense in English was a new and exciting experience for me when I was in elementary school. This was a bit challenging at first, but with practice, I became more comfortable using these irregular verbs correctly.
I remember doing a lot of grammar exercises and practice drills to solidify my understanding of the past tense. My teacher would give us worksheets with sentences that we had to rewrite in the past tense, or fill in the blanks with the correct form of the
verb. This repetitive practice really helped me get the hang of when and how to use the past tense in different situations.
One of the things that helped me the most was reading books and stories in English. Seeing the past tense in context and understanding how it was used in real sentences really helped me internalize the grammar rules and make them second nature to me.
