1. Generation Gap
Nowadays,there is often a lack of understanding between parents and children.Children always complain that their parents are out of date,while parents can’t approve of what their children say and do.Thus,a big generation gap is formed.
The gap remains wide for many reasons.Children want to be free to choose their own friends,select their own classes in school,plan their own future,earn and spend their own money,and generally run their own life in a more independent way than many parents allow.Also,young children wish to be understood by their parents,but most parents don’t quite understand their children.They regard it as their responsibility to teach their offspring traditional beliefs.They want them to be obedient and do well in school.Therefore,misunderstanding often arise from parents’ tendency to interfere in children’s daily activities.
In my opinion,most problems between parents and children could be solved by joint efforts of both sides to enhance mutual understanding.

2. Internet is more and more important as well as more and more popular in today's
life.We can do many things with the help of Internet.We may search for information about sport or watching movies.We even can go shopping when we remain within doors.The things which most make me excited is that we needn't queue to buy train tickets which save our time to do other things.
According to this situation to develop,Internet can create more moracles.Forinstance,patients can be rescued by group consultation.As for as we know,there are many escaped criminals who are perpetrate every conceivable crime
and are unpardonably wicked.But they may be captured if policemen use the Internet to hair wanted.

3.Nowadays, there usually exists a wide selection of electives for college students to choose
from. However, students have quite different plans so they always end up learning courses based on their own ideas. Some students may choose to learn a certain course in order to obtain an extra certificate for their job hunting after graduation. Because they assume that some more knowledge could ensure more chances of winning in finding a good job. Others may have their choice made just for fun. They tend to hold the idea that college life could be more colorful if they could widen their knowledge through elective courses. As far as I’m concerned, I’m inclined to choose electives based on both the value of the courses and the interest of my own.

4.Thrift is Always a Good Virtue
(1) With the improvement of the living standards,many people are no longer interested in
the simple life style and some of them even feel ashamed to be thrifty.What they pursue is the latest fashion.In their eyes,thrift is already out of style.
(2) Why should we keep thrift?
First of all,our life is better than the past,but high living standards doesn't necessarily mean to waste.In order to lead a better life,we should try to save as much as possible. Secondly,waste has been a serious problem in rge amounts of energe,materials and others are wasted every day.What'smore,china is a developi--ng country,we can't afford such waste.
Finally,thrift is considered as a kind of virtue not only in china but also in the world.
(3) As to me,I believe “Waste not,want not.” The truth of this saying is not to give up comfort but to enhance efficiency.Infact,economic growth depends enormously on saving.Besides,there are still millions of Chinese living under poverty line.We can never afford reckless waste.Therefore,it is no doubt that thrift is still a good virtue that we should not give up.

10. Health is better than wealth With the development of economy, people’s life has a obvious change. It’s mainly because the attitudes towered the life style. There are so many pressures from family, job, money that we have to deal with. This is no denying that the qualities of our living have a gone from bad to worse. Some are pressuring wealth all of their life and ignored their health. The have to do their best to work for make money in order to support their family. Should Class Attendance be Required
Nowadays, many universities and colleges carry out the system of class attendance. In my point of view, it is not necessary. University is a place free and open. Attend college is not only to study but also to become a person who has wide-sights and open minds. If we like the lesson, we can attend it. On the contrary, we can choose to go or not. If so, we will have much more time to study lessons that we like. Due to too much useless rules, Chinese students nearly become the same person and lack of innovation. Secondly, someone doesn’t wanna learn, it is also useless even though he attend class—just a waste of time.
Sometimes, he/she may have an influence on teachers’mood and disturb other students.
What’s more, few students request his classmates to respons e his name or even make a lie.
Those actions are bad habbits, it is easy to make a bad effection. In conclusion, it is not necessary to put class attendance into force.
Describe a person you like
When I see this title, I hardly know who the right person is that I will describe, because I like so many people. The person I like most is one of my best friends— Sea, who is studying at Sichuan University. In my point of view, dynamism, energy, aggressiveness and forward movement are the main characteristic that he does have. His goodness is shown below: He has no bad likings, studies diligently, respects his parents and teachers, and gets along well with his classmates. He treats those truely who are true to him and never speaks ill of others nor boasts of himself. He has a great sense of humour so that he often gives us surprises. Pressure seems to be a natural part in our daily life in this competitive society. Like it or not there is always pressure of one kind or another. And it seems there is hardly any way to avoid it or get rid of it. Moreover, as the pace of modern life continues to quicken, pressure seems to be on the increase all the time.

An Unforgettable Lesson The story happened when I was quite young. One day after school on the way home I saw a few yards away a young man talking to an elderly lady very loudly and kind of rudely. As I approached them I found out that the young man is asking how he could go to a local store. The lady was offended and told him just the opposite direction with reluctance and contempt. I thought I would have told the man again the right direction hut I didn't for I was angered by his poor manners too. This example has unmistakably indicated how important it is for one to be polite and respectful for both himself and others. Good manners are an essential quality one must have in order to be successful in not merely such a small thing as asking for directions but also promoting his career. Being respectful and well-mannered you can be popular with people around and easily win their support and favor. And in this case you can improve your chance of success and your good fortune. The lesson taught by the young man’s case is typically suggestive and impressive. Admittedly I cannot ensure that I can stay polite and respectful to anyone at any place at any time. I will try my best to treat people with respect and thoughtfulness for only this can make me feel good and happy.
