Dear Colleagues
Issue
A potential concern has been identified on a small number of 2011MY LR2 and 2012MY
Range Rover Evoque vehicles. The concern relates to customers potentially experiencing harsh or unexpected transmission shifts.
Action to be taken
You are requested to quarantine the affected vehicles that are in your control or in the
control of your dealers and refrain from releasing the vehicles for onward distribution and sale pending completion of the rework action detailed in this Update Prior to Sale Notice.
Range Rover Evoque
These vehicles should not be released until this rework procedure has been completed.
The workshop procedure is attached as Appendix 1. On completion of the rework
procedure, the vehicle may then be released from quarantine for onward distribution and sale.
This update prior to sale notice also affects sold vehicles returning to the
workshop and must be completed prior to return of the vehicle to the owner.
Freelander 2/LR2
These vehicles can be released pending further communication.
Please ensure that you check DDW to ensure that the vehicle is affected by this Update Prior to Sale Notice prior to undertaking any rework action. DDW will be updated to reflect only those vehicles affected.
