Summary of Pride and Prejudice

Pride and prejudice mainly tells a series of love entanglements happened among Bennet’s daughters ,especially the entanglement happened between Elizabeth and Darcy.

One day ,a rich man called Bingley comes to this town and this makes Mrs.Bennet very excited .She dreams that one of her daughters could be his wife.

At Mr.Bingley’s party ,Jane and Mr.Bingley fall in love with each other .At the same

time ,Darcy who is a friend of Bingley’s is also at the party .Darcy is handsome and rich ,but he is very arrogant .He looks down on Elizabeth without exception and Elizabeth also has prejudice against Darcy .Afterwards ,Darcy finds that Elizabeth is a good girl and he falls in love with

her .He shows love to Elizabeth but Elizabeth refuses him .

Later ,Bennet’s family and Darcy leave here and a man called Wickham comes

here .Wickham speaks evil of Darcy to Elizabeth .This makes Elizabeth have strong prejudice against Darcy .At the same time ,a man called Collins who is going to inherit Bennet’s property proposes to Elizabeth ,but Elizabeth refuses him .After this ,Collins gets married with Charlotte who is Elizabeth’s friend .

When Darcy leaves here ,he leaves a letter which tells Elizabeth that Wickham is not a good man and this letter makes Elizabeth reconsider her opinion of him .

Later on ,Jane and Bingley get together .Elizabeth comes to London and she meets

Darcy ,Darcy helps Elizabeth and solve her sister’s problem at that time .According to

it ,Elizabeth falls in love with Darcy .After then ,Darcy finds that Elizabeth has changed the opinion of him .And he shows love to her again and Elizabeth receives his declaration .

Finally ,they are very happy to be with each other .
