The baby was settled in at the hospital, and each day our reports were that the baby continues to thrive. Some time later we received word that the baby was dismissed from the hospital. And the mother took home alive baby! I consider this case one of the highlights of my nursing career. I learned one very important thing: Never give up hope even when the odds are overwhelmingly against you because no one has the wisdom to know how a patient will respond.

Phonetic Symbols音标1
Phonetic Symbols
五、元音GROUP 1:前元音:[ i: ] [ i ] [ e ] [ æ ][ i: ]音标特征: 前元音舌位高不圆唇长元音发音要诀: a.舌前部抬得最高,牙齿近乎全合。

五年级下册英语书译林版第一课单词音标
五年级下册英语书译林版第一课单词音标全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1Unit 1 Phonetic Symbols - A Student's PerspectiveOh boy, here we go again with another unit of new vocabulary words to learn! I know it's important to build up my English vocabulary, but memorizing those funky phonetic symbols can be such a headache sometimes. At least this time around it's just the first unit, so the list isn't too crazy long.Let's dive right in with the first word - "greedy" /ˈɡri:di/. That tricky "ee" sound getting smushed together with the "d" is definitely going to take some practice. The definition of wanting more than you need is simple enough though. I can definitely relate that one to my little brother always stealing the last cookie!Moving right along to "miser" /ˈmaɪzər/. Now there's a fun word to say - it kind of sounds like someone is hissing at you with that "zzer" part. Describing someone who hates spending money and hoards wealth isn't exactly nice, but hey, at least I'm learning some great vocabulary. The next word "reward" /rɪˈwɔːd/ doesn't look too bad phonetically. Although I'll have to watch out for not putting too much emphasis on that "re" at the beginning when I say it out loud. The meaning of something given for good behavior is pretty straightforward.Oof, "miserable" /ˈmɪz(ə)rəb(ə)l/ is another doozy! Those bunches of letters surrounded by parentheses are there to make my life difficult, I just know it. At least the definition of "feeling very unhappy" is simple and relatable. We've all had our fair share of miserable days, am I right?Okay, okay, I can power through this..."generous"/ˈdʒen(ə)rəs/. Wow, they really went overboard with those parentheses again! Although I do appreciate that the word means the opposite of greedy and miser. It's always nice to describe positive qualities too.Hmm, "hoard" /hɔːd/...now why does that one sound so familiar? Oh right, it's because it relates back to that "miser" word earlier. Hoarding means keeping and storing large amounts, which makes total sense for a miser-type personality. Connecting words together will definitely help them stick! The next word "material" /(Rox)mə'tɪrɪəl/ looks crazy at first, but doesn't seem too bad once I sound it out. I've for sure heardthat word used to describe stuff, possessions, belongings etc. Basic vocab for sure.Last but not least, we have "spiritual" /ˈspɪrɪtʃuəl/. Wow, okay, they really went iambic pentameter on this final one! Lots of syllables and stresses to watch out for, but thankfully "spiritual" means relating to religion or feelings rather than physical things. A nice sentiment to end the list on.Phew! Well, there you have it folks - all the words and their wacky phonetic spellings from Unit 1 brutally analyzed. While terminology like "iambic pentameter" is still a bit over my head, I'm feeling pretty good about connecting the dots between meanings and putting in the effort to really sound out those symbols. Is it a pain in the butt? Yes. But will it pay off and expand my English prowess in the long run? Also yes.Baby steps, one unit at a time! And who knows, maybe cracking the phonetic code will start to feel like second nature eventually. But for now, I'm just going to keep plugging away, Practice makes perfect! Or something like that...on to the next batch of weird spellings!篇2Unit 1 Vocabulary Phonetic Symbols - A Student's PerspectiveOh boy, here we go again with a brand new English textbook unit full of unfamiliar words! Unit 1 just opened up, and I'm already feeling a little overwhelmed by all the new vocabulary. But I know the best way to tackle these words is to start by mastering their phonetic symbols and pronunciations.Let's dive right into the first word on the list: "inquiry"/ɪnˈkwaɪə.ri/. Those vowel sounds are really tricky - the "i" makes an "ɪ" sound, and then there's that funky "aɪə" combination. I'll have to practice saying that one out loud a bunch of times.Next up is "curiosity" /ˌkjʊəriˈɒsɪti/. Another vowel-packed doozy! At least the "k" sound is pretty straightforward. But that "ʊə" in the middle is going to take some getting used to. I wonder if my classmates are struggling with that one too?"Museum" /mjuˈziːəm/ shouldn't be too hard, since we've learned words with similar sounds before. Although that"ɪˈziː" part looks a bit funky written out. Maybe I'll come up with a silly rhyme or something to help me remember how to pronounce it properly.Oof, "exhibition" /ˌeksɪˈbɪʃn̩/ is another lengthy one. I can already picture my tongue getting tied up trying to say that initial "eks" combination followed by those short "ɪ" vowels. Slow and steady practice is key for words like that.At least "pottery" /ˈpɒtəri/ looks relatively straightforward. As long as I can wrap my mouth around that "ɒ" vowel sound, I should be okay. Maybe I can find some online audio examples to model. Now here's a funny-looking word: "archaeologist"/ˌɑːkiˈɒlədʒɪst/. Between that "ɑː" vowel, the "k" sound, and all those consonant blends, this one is going to take some serious repetition. I can already hear my parents laughing at me as I walk around the house muttering "ar-kee-OL-uh-jist" under my breath! Those are just the first few words, and already my head is spinning a bit. But I know the drill - print out that vocabulary list, grab my phonetic symbols chart, and start my read-aloud practice routine. With some diligent repetition, I'll have these crazy sound combinations down pat before I know it.I can just imagine my future self years from now, an English pronunciation master. Maybe I'll even pursue a career as a linguist or a speech therapist, helping others overcome theirvowel vexations. For now, though, I need to hunker down and embrace my role as a fifth-grade phonetics phenom-in-training. Tongue twisters, here I come!篇3Unit 1 Vocabulary Pronunciation GuideHey guys! I'm here to share some tips on pronouncing the vocabulary words from Unit 1 of our 5th grade Yilin English textbook. As we all know, pronunciation can be a real pain, especially with English words that don't follow the rules we're used to in Chinese. But don't worry, I've got your back!Let's start with the word "currency". This one always trips me up because of that pesky "rr" sound. The key is to really roll your tongue and say "kuh-ren-see". Don't be afraid toover-emphasize that "r" sound.Next up is "exchange". This word has a few tricky sounds, like the "x" and the "ch". My advice? Break it down into smaller chunks: "eks-chay-nj". Once you've got the pieces down, string them together smoothly."Fare" is another troublemaker. It's pronounced like "fair", but without the "i" sound at the end. Instead of "fair-ee", it's more like "fair". Simple, right? Just watch out for that silent "e"!Then we have "fare". Wait, didn't I just cover that one? Nope, this "fare" is different – it's the money you pay for a ride or trip. This one rhymes with "hair" and "chair". Easy peasy!Okay, let's move on to "withdraw". This word always makes me think of drawers (those things you pull out of dressers and desks). The trick is to really emphasize the "th" sound, like you're blowing out a candle: "wi-th-draw"."Deposit" is next on the list. Don't let those vowels fool you –it's not pronounced like "dee-po-sit". Instead, you want to say "dih-poz-it". The "o" makes more of an "uh" sound. How about "tourist"? This one's not too bad, but you have to be careful with that "r" sound. It's not quite like the English "r" sound we're used to. Instead, try to make more of a "Russian R" sound by gargling at the back of your throat. "Too-rist"."Souvenir" looks scary, but it's really not that bad once you break it into parts: "soo-vuh-neer". Just don't get tripped up by that "vuh" sound in the middle.Next is "bargain". This one's easy – it rhymes with "chargin'". No real surprise sounds there."Receipt" is another that gets me sometimes. It's not"reh-cept" like you might expect. Instead, it's more like"reh-seat". That "ei" combination makes more of an "ee" sound.Okay, we're getting close to the end! "Purchase" is up next. Just remember, it's not "pur-chase" – that "ch" makes more of a "tch" sound, like in "catch". So it's "pur-tcheys".Finally, we have "merchandise". This bad boy is a mouthful! My tip is to break it down into chunks: "mer-chun-dize". Don't get tongue-tied on that middle part.Phew, we made it! Those were some of the trickier vocabulary words from Unit 1. Keep practicing, and don't be afraid to look up pronunciation guides online or ask your teacher for help. The more you use these words, the more natural they'll start to feel. Happy studying, everyone!。

The Basic Knowledge of Phonetic Symbol
