对英语课的感想作文My Reflection on English Class。
English class is one of the most important classes I have taken in my academic journey. It has helped me to improve my language skills, enhance my communication abilities, and broaden my knowledge about the world. Inthis essay, I will reflect on my experiences in Englishclass and how it has impacted my life.To begin with, I have learned a lot of grammar rulesand vocabulary in English class. The teacher has alwaysbeen patient and supportive in teaching us the fundamentals of the language. I remember how we used to practice writing essays, reading books, and solving grammar exercises. Through these activities, I have developed my writing and reading skills, which have helped me to express my ideas more clearly and effectively. Moreover, I have learned howto use different tenses, sentence structures, and idiomatic expressions, which have improved my communication abilities. In addition, English class has broadened my knowledge about the world. We have read various books and articles that have exposed me to different cultures, traditions, and ways of life. For instance, I remember reading "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee, which taught me about racial discrimination and social injustice in the United States. Similarly, we have read articles about climate change, globalization, and technology, which have helped me to understand the challenges and opportunities of the modern world.Furthermore, English class has helped me to develop my critical thinking skills. We have analyzed different texts, discussed different perspectives, and evaluated different arguments. Through these activities, I have learned how to think critically, ask questions, and make informed decisions. This has been particularly useful in my other classes, where I have used these skills to analyzedifferent theories, concepts, and models. To conclude, English class has been a valuableexperience for me. It has helped me to improve my language skills, broaden my knowledge about the world, and develop my critical thinking abilities. I am grateful to my teacher for her dedication and commitment to teaching us. I believe that the skills and knowledge I have gained in English class will be useful in my future academic and professional endeavors.。

I am writing this letter of apology to you all as a teacher of English, to express my sincere regret for the mistake I made during our lesson. I understand the importance of accuracy in language teaching, and I amtruly sorry for any confusion or misunderstanding that my error may have caused.First and foremost, I would like to apologize for the incorrect usage of the word "dissimilar" during our recent English lesson. I mistakenly used it in place of "different," which was clearly a mistake on my part. This error was not only a breach of my professional responsibility but also an inconvenience to your learning process. As an English teacher, it is my duty to ensure that the language I useis clear, precise, and free from errors. The incorrect use of "dissimilar" may have led some of you to question the validity of my instruction, which is something I deeply regret. I am committed to correcting this mistake and improving my teaching methods to preventsuch occurrences in the future. Here are some measures I will take to address this issue:1. Self-Reflection: I will take time to reflect on my teaching methods and the sources of my error. This will help me identify any gaps in my knowledge and improve my language skills.2. Continuous Learning: I will engage in continuous professional development to enhance my language proficiency. This may include attending workshops, reading educational materials, and seeking feedback from colleagues.3. Lesson Planning: I will ensure that my lesson plans are well-prepared, with accurate vocabulary and grammar usage. This will help me maintain the highest standards of teaching quality.4. Open Communication: I will encourage open communication with my students, so that they can share any concerns or confusion they may have. This will allow me to address their needs more effectively.5. Practice: I will incorporate more practice activities in my lessons to reinforce correct vocabulary and grammar usage. This will help youall become more proficient in English. In addition, I would like to remind you that making mistakes is anatural part of the learning process. It is through our mistakes that we learn and grow. I hope that you will not hold this incident against me and that we can continue to work together to improve our language skills.Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience caused by my error. I am committed to being a more accurate and effective teacher. Thank you for your understanding and patience.Sincerely,[Your Name][Your Position][Your School Name][Date]。
REFLECTIONS ON ENGLISH GRAMMAR TEACHING IN MIDDLE SCHOOL
REFLECTIONS ON ENGLISH GRAMMAR TEACHING IN MIDDLESCHOOL摘要:为适应社会的变化和需求,中学的英语教学迅速地从传统的教学法转变为现行的交际教学法,致使不少学生语法知识薄弱,口语交际及写作中都带有大量的中国式的英语短语或句子,为使学生学好这门交际语言学科,老师应在生动有趣的听说练习中有机地融进语法知识。

关键词:传统教学法;交际教学法;语法意识;实用型的英语人才Ⅰ.The basic recognition on English grammarA.The function of grammar and the meaning of grammar teachingGrammar is a rule that makes up sentences with words. It is also a formed element of the language system and it is an objective summary of the structure regularity of language.“Because of having the knowledge of grammar, people can be given the ideas by language with the shell of language of the substance.”1“People want to understand language and use language exactly and clearly,it is hard to imagine the situation ifpeople don't understand the rules of grammar. If people don't follow the rules of grammar and randomly pile the words, they may not express feelings and meanings correctly and clearly, and may not be understood by other people and may also not communicate ideas and thoughts.Suppose the languages want to become the tools of communication, then their structure orders must conform to the rules of grammar established by usage and universally accepted.”2In the English language teaching,if we pay attention to teaching and training of the grammar knowledge,we can standardize the students' habits by which the students make up sentences with words, and train their thinking oflanguage.Doing so makes them use the correct and clear grammar rules to communicate and write. If we teach less or not teach the grammar knowledge in the English language teaching, drill less or not drill the grammar knowledge, the students will not make up sentences with words correctly and form their good habits of language and grasp English character and correctly, clearly and smoothly communicate and write.B.The task of English grammar teachingThe basic task of English grammar teaching is:let the students master the rule of English wording and phrasing andtrain their thinking of language and form the good ability to express language, then further develop their better English communicative abilities. It is an important condition to grasp the rules of English wording and phrasing and express ideas in English exactly and clearly. If people want to use English language precisely, they must have some grammar knowledge to guide them.By observing some beginners' so-called Chinglish, why can they have the situation? We can find it has two reasons:first, they don't understand the rules of choice of words and building of sentences or copy the Chineseusage, therefore their words can't be understood or misunderstood by the other side.Secondly, they are lacking in some cultural knowledges and national conditions knowledge of English-speaking countries.Their words and language can't accord with customs and habits of English-speaking countries. So let the students grasp certain grammar knowledge,it is a necessary condition to learn to communicate with people in English.“Studies show that understandin g the grammar knowledge can promote the acquired process of language.”3Ⅱ.Contrasting traditional English teaching and current English teachingA.The basic character of traditional English teaching1.The model of traditional English teachingIn previous English teaching, teaching model is very simple. In class, teachers always first teach new words and standardly read the texts and translate the passages, then they analyze and explain the phrases and sentence patterns in the texts, and simply summarize the characters of grammar appearing in the texts. At last, the teacher asks the students to mimic sights about the grammar knowledge points in the text and give them some written exercises, and let them drill again and again in order to attain the purpose that they review and consolidate the grammar knowledge pointsIn such a teaching model, the teachers especially pay attention to explaining and drilling the grammar knowledge. So the students' knowledge of grammar are grasped well, their written compositions are very standard and precise. However,in such a teaching model, the teachers teach too much, the students drill too much. They have oral English less or do not speak English. Therefore the students' abilities to read and write are very good, but their abilities to listen and speak are very poor.2.The character of grammar teaching in traditional EnglishteachingI think that the teachers specially pay attention to explaining the grammar knowledge in the traditional English teaching. However,“Explaining of the grammar knowledge has three aspects:forms of words or sentencestructures, grammatical meaning, the rules of using.”4 For example, explaining English plural nouns is as follows:how to form the plural nouns, the meanings of plural nouns, how to use the rules. In order to consolidate and review the explained grammar knowledges, the teachers conduct the students to drill them. But the drills are often written drills, not oral ones.Drills have a lot of ways. For example,“Drill can be divided into Accompanyi ng Drill,Special Drill,Helpful Drill and Checking Drill.Accompanying Drill aims at having drills during the process of the explaining the grammar knowledge. It often asks the students to analyze the practical examples taught and give some examples by themselves during the process of explaining. For example, after the teacher finishes explaining the forming rules of plural nouns, then let the students speak out the plural forms of given nouns by themselves or they themselves say a noun and its plural form. The purpose of Accompanying Drill is to test thestudents whether they really understand the rules taught so that the teacher decides the process of teaching.Special drill is often finished after the process of explaining later. The Drill will be held.We usually take advantage of the special grammar exercises to have a drill. The purpose of Special Drill is to consolidate the learned knowledge and improve the ability to use,so it is called Consolidatory Drill. The Drill in the grammar teaching is testing, aiming at checking the students whether they understand the contents taught and use them in practical examples. But it can be helpful.”5Traditional English teaching method is TheGrammar-Translation Method, that is,“Mother tongue is basic in the process of class teaching. It is essential for communication medium and teaching medium. So it includes a large number of translations of English and Chinese during the process of teaching.”6 It has two teaching methods about TheGrammar-Translation Method:the deductive method and the inductive method.“The deductive method is a teaching method from abstract to concrete and from common situation to individual situations when using the method. The teacher first explains the definitions, rules, then take some examples to prove and instruct.”7 The teaching model is to explai n and takeexamples→to analyze the practical examples→to read the teaching materials or drill. The grammar rules must be explained correctly and clearly in the deductive teaching method.Doing so is to let the students catch it easily. But this method has some disadvantages, since it makes the students depend on the teachers very much. The students forget the learned language knowledge easily with this method. The deductive teaching method attaches importance to forms instead of usages. One of the reasons is that the teachers explain too much, the students less positively take part in the action. The students fall into the situations of passive studying. Now we can try to take the forming rules of plural nouns for example:a.Showing word. The words can be new words or familiar words, but their ends must be whole. These examples are as follows:b.Explaining.Illustrate the forms of singularnouns, meaning, joining articlesand probable translations,at this time, the examples turn as follows.c.Going on explaining.Illustrate the meanings of plural nouns and formingrules. After explaining, the examples are like the following forms.“The Inductive method is a teaching method from concrete to abstract and from individual situations to common situations.”8 Using the inductive method, the teacher first shows the practical examples, then the teacher and the students observe and analyze them.At last the teacher puts them to sum up definitions and rules. The common teaching model is:to analyze the practical examples→to introduce the rules→to read the teaching materials or drills. The inductive teachingmethod can make the students strengthen the touch to the language. And it can also help to foster the student's feeling of language.By analyzing and summing up the regularity of the use of language, doing so can deepen the understanding of usages. The inductive teaching method pays more attention to the usage of language instead of expressing forms of language.let' s try to take the Modal Verbs in my teachingfor example.a.Showing the practical examplese.g.We must study hard.He can speak English well. You may go out tonight.b. observing and analyzing themT:Please point out the predicates of these sentences.S:Must study, can speak, may go out.T:What do the first predicates about these sentences mean?S:Indicating obligation, indicating ability, indicating permission, they express the Modal Verbs.T:Please speak out the person in the second sentence.S:“He”.It is the singular form of the third personal pronoun.T:Why not add “-s”to “can”?S:Can't answer.I answer. The Modal Verbs have no personal and numeral changes.T:What follows the Modal Verbs?S:Verb.c.Summing upAccording to the notes written on the blackboard, the students can summarize the meanings and using rules of the Modal Verbs.d.Drilling.We can speak English. He must stop smoking.etc.The two teaching methods have both advantages and disadvantages, whichever methods we choose, the teacher plays an important role.Because of these situations, the students have fewer opportunities to speak and drill. So the students can onlycopy the sentences with grammar rules or can only mechanically memorize the grammar rules. They can't use and change them flexibly. Therefore the students can't orally speak English, their Englis h has become “mute English”.B.The basic character of current English teaching1.To develop the students' abilities to listen and speakThe eventual purpose of current English teaching is to develop the students' better ability to orally communicate. And it is the same important to foster the students' ability to listen. Thus in the practical English teaching actions,to simulate situations and to do the exercises of listening and speaking becomes important in class. The teacher's main tasks do not explain the grammar knowledge in detail any longer, but he/ she meticulously builds the similar practice situations of listening and speaking to the text according to the contents ofthe text,in order to offer the chances of having listening and speaking in class to the students. The students' main tasks don't also passivelyaccept the grammar knowledge any more, but after they understand the text, they have the exercises of listening and speaking positively and repeatedly, according to the situation of the teacher supplied, and attain to review and consolidate the contents of the text and develop their abilitiesto listen and speak.2.To strengthen the cooperation between the teacher and the studentsTo develop the abilities to listen and speak is especially essential in the current English teaching. Therefore the teacher's chief task is to prepare the materials of listening or speaking and to organize the exercise in class. They explain less or not explain the grammar knowledge points appearing in the text.So the teachers' positivity and creativity are given full play to.The students are free of the tiring grammar knowledge and positively take part in the teaching action. The teacher teaches and the students learn from each other, they cooperate jointly. They finish the teaching task in the relaxing and pleasant circumstances. In such teaching actions, the teacher feels relaxed and the students study pleasantly. So the current communicative teaching method is loved by the teachers and the students.C.Contrasting traditional English teaching method and current English teaching methodNow let's simply contrast the traditional Grammar-Translation Method and the current communicative teaching method. It is not hard to find the fact.First, the traditional Grammar-Translation Method paysspecial attention to explaining and doing exercises about the grammar knowledge. This makes it very high and very strict with the teachers' professional knowledge. But the teaching method is very simple. The teachers teach laboriously and the students study strenuously in class. The atmosphere in class is depressing.Although the students have a good ability to read and write, they ignore listening and speaking, thus they are poor in listening and speaking. The situation of “mute English”often appears.Secondly, the current communicative teaching method specially pays attention to the practice of listening and speaking,it diminishes the teachers' grammar knowledge and brings the teachers into full play to building the positivity and creativity of the new situations. The teaching method in class is various, flexible, and the teaching contents are rich. The students' creativities are improved. As a result, the teacher and the students feel relaxed, the atmosphere in class is active.Ⅲ.How to teach the grammar in communicative wayBecause of having new recognition about traditional and current grammar teaching,I did some new try.I think that different grammar structures use different ways to teach. For example, there is such a phrase in the Senior English Book OneB:“something prevent somebody from doing something.”I asked the students to explain a phenomenon with the sentence pattern.I ahead of time designed many situations that could be explained in many ways, then I asked them to use the sentence pa ttern “something prevent somebody from doing something”to explain. The students used their imaginations to give some proper explanations. For example:T:Li Hua was absent from school yesterday.S:Illness prevented him from coming to school yesterday.S2:Laziness prevented him from coming to school yesterday.S3:His uncle's visit prevented him from coming to school yesterday.By doing so I not only stimulate the students' imaginations, but also make them use the phrase skilledly. The sentence pattern is engraved in their mind, another two phrases related to it also can be used“stop somebody from doing something”,“keep somebody from doing something”and they are not tired of grammar knowledge.Besides, there is another example, the structure of the subju nctive mood“If I were…”.The grammar structure is explained easily,it not only arouses thestudents' positivity, but everyone likes “to design their own futures”.I can take advantage of the students' mentality to design the actions of supposing futures and drill the usage of the subjunctive.I will divide the students into some groups and let them suppose their own futures,“If I were a manager…”,“If I were a scientist …”etc. Then let each group introduce their own groups' supposing situations to the rest of the students.Such a grammar lesson is very interesting and the students like it very much, they are willing to take part in the action positively.By doing so,the students' positivities are fully aroused, they have a clear recognition about the structure of the Subjunctive Mood. This drill is helpful to developing the students' thought and create a certain condition for teaching themselves in future.Ⅴ.ConclusionTraditional English teaching and current English teaching have their respective advantages and disadvantages.Traditional English teaching only pays attention to explaining and drilling grammar knowledge. But current English teaching specially pays attention to the drill to listen and speak, ignoring the explaining of grammar knowledge. So if we want the students to learn English well,we should adopt the advantages of the twoteaching methods in the later teaching. The grammar knowledge must be melted into the lively, interesting drills to listen and speak. At last,we gradually look for a variety of teaching styles and form a new teaching style.Note1Ying Yuntian,Foreign Language TeachingMethod.(Hebei:Higher Education Press,2002)248.2Ying Yuntian,Foreign Language Techniques and Principles in Teaching English
Reflection of Grammar-Translation Method Many teachers use this way to teach grammar and do get a good fruit! Not only can this way help students improve their target language, but also help students understand and use their native language better.During the class, the teacher only used target language to ask students questions, and all exercises are about translation, student are put into a native language and target language environment. They are able to freely and adeptly use the two languages in class. The teacher used almost ten techniques in his teaching, such as translation of a literary passage which can help students learn target language culturally and literately, reading comprehension questions which enables students better-understand the passage and so on.As to-be teachers, for some of us, we may use this way to teach grammar, I think this is helpful for students to obtain a new language. Like it says in conclusion part translation is a valuable exercise which trains language learners ability to transform two language and comprehend the literature written in the target language. But there is still one advantage, that is it’s not effective in letting students use target language communicatively.Reflection of the Direct MethodThis method is not like the previous one, it focuses on communication. When teacher use this way to teach students, the class is an English-only zone. Student are involved into a total English environment. And the interaction between the teacher and students was good, teacher asked questions first, then students asked questions, this can help students experience the leadership of the class and improve their thinking ability and oral English. However, the teacher only used inductive method, indeed, like it says in the book that grammar should be taught inductively. But sometimes we need to help students or lead students to walk out the first step, I think deductive method should be used here too, only if the teacher properly control it.This teacher also used so many teaching techniques, some of them are authentically worth borrowing to our teaching. To sum up, this method is suitable for Middle School students or higher grade ones who are having enough vocabulary so that can understand the teacher who hardly speak their own language. The reflection of The Audio-Lingual MethodAs English majors, we all know that how important the listening is for a language learner. Well, listening is a input process, like it says in reviewing the principles, teachers want their students to use the target language to communicate, so the students have to overlearn the target language, now, listening can help students obtain the rules of speaking and form a new habit of expressing. This method is combined with the direct method, teacher merely speak English in the class session, teachers use more materials and let students listen to the tape for many times, to let students absorb the target language automatically and overlearn it.Here, the word overlearn again mentioned and emphasized as it’s so crucial that can stimulate students to accept the target language. This chapter is suitable for teaching speaking and listening, or sometimes grammar, and many techniques listed on the paper are really good for helping students remember the sentence structures and their logic thought. The reflection of The Silent WayThe title does surprise me, after all, usually learning language is coherent to read aloud, read more..., these all are voiced activities, but this chapter is about silence! I think many of us have been chocked by the title. But,do not get rush, let’s see what is this chapter going to say!Reading through the class will clearly tell us how the silent way works. The teacher hardly speak, students are the talkers of the whole class! Teacher does not use the sound, but he can use gestures to show students how to pronounce the target language.Honestly, this way is not utilitarian for our children, that’s a little bit difficult. However, teacher who used this way just wanted to let students be able to use the language for self-expression, and to develope their independence of learning things, and their own inner criteria for correctness. The techniques and materials that the teacher used in class are bound together, so if we want to use the silent way, the materials must be properly matched with this teaching way.The reflection of DesuggestopediaThis chapter tells us a new way to help students study target language. One of the main goals of this method is to decrease anxiety related to learning a new language, so that students can naturally and calmly produce the language. The atmosphere in this language learning method is extremely important as a tool to make the environment conducive to language learning. It has following steps:1.Presentation. A stage in which students are helped to relax and move into a positive frame of mind, with the feeling that the learning is going to be easy and fun.2. First Concert—“Active Concert”This involves the active presentation of the material to be learned. For example, in a foreign language course there might be the dramatic reading of a piece of text, accompanied by classical music.3. Second Concert—“Passive Review”The students are now invited to relax and listen to some Baroque music, with the text being read very quietly in the background. The music is specially selected to bring the students into the optimum mental state for the effortless acquisition of the material.4. Practice. The use of a range of games, puzzles, etc. to review and consolidate the learning.Personal opinion:Advantages:It provides a cozy study environment. Students have new status in study, it also can arouse students’ interest, and release students and help students input lots of language materials at the same time. Comprehensively stimulating students’ positivity.Disadvantages:It requires a good teaching environment, teaching facilities, and highly qualified teachers. And this method kind of ignored the instruction of language points and language principles during the teaching. The reflection of Community Language TeachingThe CLL method was developed by Charles A. Curran, a professor of psychology at Loyola University in Chicago.Curran believed that a way to deal with the fears of students is for teachers to become 'language counselors'. Community language learning (CLL) was primarily designed for monolingual conversation classes where the teacher-counselor would be able to speak the learners' L1(mother tongue). It's a method that is based on English for communication and is extremely learner-focused. Although CLL is primarily meant as a 'whole' approach to teaching ,it equally useful for an occasional lesson, by working together they overcome their fear of speaking,it's a good idea to evaluate the method.but their success is determined by the teacher's translation expertise, and there is too much reliance on an inductive strategy of learning. But we must pay more attention to following points:1.The Communicative Approach holds that when we communicate,we use the language to accomplish some functions, such as arguing, persuading or promising.2. Communication is insufficient for students to simply have knowledge of the target language forms, meanings and functions.3. The goal of communicative language teaching is to have students become communicatively competent.4. The basic assumptions of the Communicative Approach si that students will be more motivated to study a foreign language if they are learning to do something useful with the language they study.Personal opinionAdvantages of Communicative Approach1. In communication, the speaker has a choice of what he will say and how he will say it.2. A speaker can thus evaluate whether or not hid purpose has been achived based upon the information he receive from his listener.3. Authentic materials is considered desirable to give student an opportunity to develop strategies for understanding language as it is actually used by native speakers.Disadvantages of Communicative Approach1. In their communicative task ,they will inevitably produce errors ,mistakes and much inappropriate language because they use whatever language they have at their disposal .2. The way of communication is controlled. The reflection of Total Physical ResponseTotal Physical Response is a language learning method based on the coordination of speech and action. This method of learning was developed by James Asher, a professor of psychology at San Jose State University, California.TPR(Total Physical Response) is linked to the trace of theory of memory, which holds that the more often or intensively a memory connection is traced, the stronger the memory will be.According to Asher, the language learning theories are similar to those of other behavioral psychologists. The principals that help elaborate his idea are:1.Second language learning is parallel to first language learning and should reflect the same naturalistic processes.2.Listening should develop before speaking.3.Once listening comprehension has been developed, speech develops naturally and effortlessly out of it.4.Adults should use right-brain motor activities, while the left hemisphere watches and learns.Personal opinion:1.It is fun and easy. Students will enjoy getting up out of their chairs and moving around.2.Simple TPR activities do not require a great deal of preparation on the part of the teacher. However, some other more complex applications might.3."TPR is aptitude-free." according to Asher. It is inclusive working well with a mixed ability class.4.It is good for kinesthetic learners who need to be active in the class.5.It is a good tool for building vocabulary.6.It is memorable. Actions help strengthen the connections in the brain.Disadvantages:While it can be used at higher levels TPR is most useful for beginners. It is also at the higher levels where preparation becomes an issue for the teacher.Students are not generally given the opportunity to express their own thoughts in a creative way.It is easy to overuse TPR. "Any novelty, if carried on too long, will trigger adaptation." Asher writes, "No matter how exciting and productive the innovation, people will tire of it."The teacher may find that it is limited in terms of language scope. Certain target languages may not be suited to this method. It can be a challenge for shy students. The reflection of Communicative Language Teaching This teaching approach has three principles:1.activities that involve real communication promote learning2.activities in which language is used for carrying out meaningful tasks promote learningnguage that is meaningful to the learner promotes learningAnd it emphasize on learning to communicate through interaction in the target language. Also the introduction of authentic texts into the learning situation (Authentic material is a must, because students cannot extrapolate to the real world from their learning on made-up material)Communicative language teaching uses almost any activity that engages learners in authentic communication. The concept is supposed to be language teaching ideas, not an approach or method. It has functional communication activities: ones aimed at developing certain language skills and functions, but which involve communication, and second one is social interaction activities, such as conversation and discussion sessions, dialogues and role plays.。

仔细思考反思英语作文
仔细思考反思英语作文Title: Reflection on English Composition。
As I reflect on my English compositions, I realize the profound importance of careful contemplation and analysis to enhance my writing skills. Writing in English has been both challenging and rewarding, pushing me to expand my vocabulary, refine my grammar, and develop a deeper understanding of effective communication. In this reflective essay, I will explore the journey of my English composition, examining the obstacles I faced, the strategies I employed to overcome them, and the lessons I learned along the way.One of the primary challenges I encountered in English composition was expressing my thoughts coherently and concisely. English being my second language, I often struggled with structuring sentences and organizing ideas in a logical manner. To address this challenge, I began by reading extensively in English, exposing myself to variouswriting styles and techniques. By studying the works of proficient writers, I gained insights into how to craft compelling narratives and arguments.Furthermore, I actively sought feedback from teachers, peers, and online writing communities. Constructive criticism provided me with valuable insights into areas needing improvement, whether it be grammar, punctuation, or clarity of expression. Embracing feedback with an open mind allowed me to identify recurring mistakes and rectify them, gradually refining my writing skills.Another hurdle I faced was expanding my vocabulary to effectively convey nuanced meanings and emotions. To overcome this obstacle, I adopted several strategies. Firstly, I made it a habit to learn a few new words every day, incorporating them into my writing to reinforce retention. Additionally, I practiced using synonyms and varied language structures to avoid repetition and enhance the richness of my prose. Moreover, I recognized the importance of grammar inensuring clarity and precision in writing. I dedicated time to study grammar rules and conventions, practicing through exercises and writing drills. By mastering essential grammar principles, I gained confidence in constructing grammatically sound sentences, which significantly improved the overall quality of my compositions. In addition to technical aspects, I also focused on developing critical thinking skills to construct coherent arguments and analyze complex topics effectively. I engaged in debates, discussions, and critical reading to sharpen my analytical abilities and broaden my perspective on diverse issues. By critically evaluating sources and synthesizing information, I learned to present well-reasoned arguments supported by evidence and logic.Furthermore, I cultivated the habit of revising and editing my work meticulously. Recognizing that writing is a process of refinement, I embraced multiple drafts and revisions as integral steps toward achieving polished final pieces. Through careful revision, I learned to identify weaknesses in my writing, whether it be weak arguments, awkward phrasing, or inconsistencies in tone. Moreover, I explored various writing genres and styles, experimenting with different narrative techniques and rhetorical devices. By stepping out of my comfort zone, I discovered new ways to engage readers and evoke emotions through storytelling, descriptive imagery, and persuasive language. In conclusion, reflecting on my English composition journey has been enlightening, revealing the progress I've made and the areas where further improvement is needed. Through perseverance, practice, and a willingness to learn, I've overcome challenges and honed my writing skills. Moving forward, I am committed to continuing this journey of growth and refinement, striving to become a more proficient and eloquent communicator in the English language.。
作文仿写教学反思简短
作文仿写教学反思简短英文回答:Teaching reflection is an essential part of theteaching process. It allows me to evaluate my teaching methods, identify areas for improvement, and make necessary adjustments to enhance student learning. Through reflection, I can also gain insights into my students' needs and adapt my teaching strategies accordingly. One instance where I had to reflect on my teaching was during a grammar lesson. I noticed that some students were struggling to understand the concept of verb tenses. I had initially explained the rules and provided examples, but it seemed that they were still having difficulties applying them in their own writing.Upon reflection, I realized that I had focused too much on the rules and examples without providing enough practice opportunities for the students. I decided to try adifferent approach in the next class. Instead of simply explaining the rules, I created a fun activity where students had to match sentences with the correct verb tense. This allowed them to actively engage with the concept and apply it in a practical way.The results were remarkable. Not only did the students have a better understanding of verb tenses, but they also showed more confidence in using them in their writing. This experience taught me the importance of providing ample practice opportunities for students to reinforce their learning.

By giving students the chance to use English in meaningful ways, they are more likely to retain and internalize the language skills they have learned. In addition to creating engaging and authentic learning experiences, it is also important for teachers to provide students with feedback and support to help them improve their English skills. In my classroom, I make a point to give regular feedback to my students on their speaking, writing, and reading abilities, and I also provide additional support and resources to students who may be struggling with certain concepts. By providing students with personalized feedback and support, they are better able to track their progress and make improvements in their English skills over time.Overall, teaching English in a primary school requires creativity, flexibility, and a strong commitment to supporting student learning. By creating engaging and interactive lessons, providing opportunities for students to practice and apply their language skills, and giving feedback and support, teachers can help students develop their English proficiency and achieve success in their language learning journey. Through continuous reflection and improvement, I am confident that I can continue to enhance my teaching practices and create a positive learning environment for my students.。
英语老师给学生讲错题检讨书
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you today to express my sincere apologies and reflections on the mistakes that I made while correcting your assignments and quizzes. As an English teacher, I am deeply committed to providing you with the best possible education, and I realize that my recent errors have fallen short of this goal. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to write a reflectionon my mistakes and commit to improving my teaching methods.Firstly, I would like to apologize for the inaccuracies in my corrections. I understand that these errors not only caused confusion among you but also undermined your confidence in your own abilities. Itis my responsibility to ensure that the feedback I provide is accurate and helpful, and I failed to live up to this expectation. I regret any frustration or disappointment that these mistakes may have caused. One of the main reasons for these errors was my oversight in thoroughly reviewing the materials and resources I used to correct your assignments. As an English teacher, I should have been more meticulous in checkingthe grammar rules, vocabulary, and writing conventions. I failed to recognize that even the smallest of mistakes can have a significant impact on your understanding and performance. From now on, I will take extra care to double-check my corrections, ensuring that they are error-free and beneficial to your learning.Another area where I fell short was in providing constructive feedback. While I acknowledged that you had made mistakes, I did not always offer clear explanations or suggestions on how to improve. Effective feedback should not only point out errors but also guide students towards understanding the correct answers and developing their skills. Moving forward, I will make it a priority to provide detailed feedback that not only identifies mistakes but also offers strategies for improvement.I also recognize that I did not always communicate my expectations clearly. As teachers, we must ensure that students are aware of the grading criteria and the standards we expect them to meet. By not being explicit about the requirements, I inadvertently created a situation where confusion and misunderstandings arose. From now on, I will takethe time to outline my expectations at the beginning of each assignmentand provide a clear grading rubric to help you understand the criteriafor success. In order to prevent such mistakes from occurring in the future, I willbe implementing the following changes in my teaching approach:1. Regularly review and update my knowledge of grammar rules, vocabulary, and writing conventions.2. Take the time to carefully review each assignment before providing feedback, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.3. Provide detailed and constructive feedback, focusing on both the mistakes made and the steps to correct them.4. Clearly communicate expectations and grading criteria to avoid confusion and misunderstandings.5. Seek feedback from students to understand their perspectives and make continuous improvements.I understand that mistakes are a natural part of the learning process, and I appreciate your patience and understanding as I work to correct my errors. I am committed to being a better teacher and ensuring that you receive the high-quality education you deserve.Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience or frustration that my mistakes may have caused. Please know that I value your education and am dedicated to helping you succeed in your English studies.Thank you for your understanding and support.Sincerely,[Your Name]English Teacher。

英语月考反思500字作文Reflection on English Monthly Exam。
The English monthly exam was a significant evaluation of my language skills and comprehension. It provided an opportunity for me to assess my strengths and weaknesses, as well as to identify areas for improvement. In this reflection, I will delve into the various aspects of the exam and my performance, offering insights and strategies for future enhancement.First and foremost, the exam tested my understanding of grammar rules, vocabulary usage, and sentence structure. It highlighted the importance of mastering the fundamentals of English to effectively communicate ideas. I realized that a solid grasp of grammar not only enhances written expression but also facilitates clearer verbal communication. Moving forward, I plan to allocate more time to practice grammar exercises and review essential rules regularly. Moreover, the exam included sections on reading comprehension and writing, which demanded critical thinking and creativity. The reading passages challenged me to analyze complex texts, extract key information, and infer the author's intent. Meanwhile, the writing tasks required me to articulate my thoughts coherently and persuasively. To excel in these areas, I intend to broaden my reading repertoire across various genres and topics, thereby enhancing my comprehension skills and vocabulary range. Additionally, I will focus on honing my writing abilities through consistent practice and feedback from peers or instructors.Furthermore, the listening component of the exam assessed my ability to comprehend spoken English in different contexts, such as conversations, lectures, and interviews. This section posed a unique challenge due to the pace and variability of speech. To enhance my listening skills, I aim to engage more actively with authentic English materials, such as podcasts, movies, and online videos. By exposing myself to diverse accents and speech patterns, I hope to improve my auditory processing andcomprehension abilities.Reflecting on my performance in the exam, I recognize the importance of effective time management and exam strategy. Prioritizing questions based on difficulty level and allocating sufficient time for each section are essential tactics for optimizing performance. Additionally, maintaining a calm and focused mindset during the exam is crucial for minimizing stress and maximizing concentration. In the future, I will practice mindfulness techniques and relaxation exercises to cultivate a positive test-taking environment. In conclusion, the English monthly exam served as a valuable assessment of my language proficiency and academic progress. Through critical reflection on my performance, I have identified areas for improvement and devisedstrategies for future enhancement. By prioritizing grammar mastery, expanding my reading and listening repertoire, refining my writing skills, and adopting effective exam strategies, I am confident that I can achieve greater success in English language proficiency.。

Reflection of Grammar-Translation MethodMany teachers use this way to teach grammar and do get a good fruit! This method is combined with the direct method, teacher merely speak English in the class session, teachers use more materials and let students listen to the tape for many times, to let students absorb the target language automatically and overlearn it. Here, the word overlearn again mentioned and emphasized as it’s so crucial that canstimulate students to accept the target language. This chapter is suitable for teaching speaking and listening, or sometimes grammar, and many techniques listed on the paper are really good for helping students remember the sentence structures and their logic thought. The reflection of The Silent W ayThe title does surprise me, after all, usually learning language is coherent to read aloud, read more..., these all are voiced activities, but this chapter is about silence! However, teacher who used this way just wanted to let students be ab le to use the language for self-expression, and to develope their independence of learning things, and their own inner criteria for correctness. Comprehensively stimulating students’ positivity. Disadvantages:It requires a good teaching environment, teaching facilities, and highly qualified teachers. It has functional communication activities: ones aimed at developing certain language skills and functions, but which involve communication, and second one is social interaction activities, such as conversation and discussion sessions, dialogues and role plays. The reflection of Content-based, Task-based, and Participatory Approaches Learning Strategy Training, Cooperative Learning, and Multiple Intelligences。
AReflectiononMyEnglishLearning
AReflectiononMyEnglishLearningWed., 25th Jul., 2012this language, instead of reading the textbooks by yourself for 10 years.I got the above concept from the Portugal clients I received this afternoon. He makes lots of Chinese friends in Guangzhou, he invites his Chinese friends to his house, he talks to them, now he speaks Chinese so fluently within one year. However, we have spent 10 years’ school education on English learning, now we still find it very hard to understand every word they are talking. And we still have a lot of difficulty expressing our own opinions. It is definitely not because they are smarter, it is just because they are learning in a different way, a better way. Can we also use this better way? Surely, the answer is yes. Then we need to make friends of native speakers. This is the most difficult part, but it is also the part which has profound impact. Methods to speak to native speakers:1. Speak to the native speakers that you know, say your clients(business contact, holiday greetings, personal friendship contact), your clients’ friends.2. Make friends on internet and talk with those who want to speak English too. Also, talking with friend around me is also not too bad, at least I can try to think in English in an active way.Meanwhile, I can try to describe everything that I see. If I don’t know how to describe, I can look into a dictionary to make a search on websites. All in all, interest in English, or say the passion for English, it is what will lead me to the point I want to achieve.。

In a word, this lesson I have a lot problems. Especially, I have no passion in class. I ought to learn from Haobing and try to improve it. Passion is very important to be a teacher. If I have no or little passion, students may easily to feel sleep or think some other things. Fortunately, my students support me very well in class and give me much feedback. At last, I learn a lot from my classmates’ teaching, such as method. I think I can try it in next lesson.
The Reflection on my grammar teaching
Class: 08-3
Name: XuLijun徐利俊
Student ID: 0804130067
To be honest, when I teach listening, I feel very nervous, because listening is very difficult for me to express some points in English. And I have not enough confidence, because I don’t have some special methods to teach listening. And I think only in Chinese can make listening clear to my students. I think this is a great weakness of my teaching. So with the long time practice, I must not feel nervous and must be brave enough. The next lesson, I ought to prepare very ry terrible.
