Cultural diversity Vs Culture Integration
As an old idol, where there is a river, there is a city. And I want to add one
more sentence to it, which is that where there are people, there is culture.
In fact, every nation has its unique culture through their development. Because
of the differences in areas, history and a lot of other factors, every country has
its own characters. For example, greeting, in China, people say hello to each other
by shaking hands while people are bowing when they meet in Japan and people put their
hands to their forehead in Thailand. But in the western areas, people are greeting
by kissing each others’face. This is just one kind of diversity in different culture background. There are also many differences in physics and spirits.
As the global development, many other kinds of culture has significant influence
in our country. We can see many young people are just crazy about the clothes and electronic products which are from the Japan and Korea. The young girls fall in love
with the Barbie doll. The cultural integration has been effective our lives in many
aspects as well as our studies. In China, we students should take English courses
and it can decide whether we could find a good job or not. Learning English well
is a strong wish for all of the students including me.
Honestly speaking, I think cultural integration is a good chance for us to know
more about the world we haven’t been to. Also, we can learn from the advantages
and strength of the other culture, which could make our culture and us much stronger
and wide our horizon. However, I believe that every coins have two sides. In the
one hand, the developed countries and their culture set an good example which is
wealth learning from. In the other hand, we have to admit that there is no perfect
culture in the world. Every culture has negative things which we should avoid.
In my opinion, what counts is not how much we have learnt but what we could learn
from the other culture. Maybe, in the future, people in different places can live
the same lives but what we need to make sure is that our soul is still pure and unique.。
