About the tiger mother’s education

Tiger mother, whose autonym is Amy Lynn Chua, was born in 1962. When she was young, she was immigration to USA with her parents, then her got the Harvard University B.A. (bachelor of arts degree) degree, doctor of jurisprudence, now she is incumbent the lifetime professor in the Yale university.

And there are an argumentation about < battle hymn of the tiger mother > have detonate all over the world, not only the west, but also the east, so there are many minds of ---- the education methods of east and west.

Now, let’s see some of the family rules of tiger mother, before I express my views.

1. They are not allowed to attend sleepover.

2. They are not allowed to learn any other musical instruments except for violin or

piano, and play only classic music.

3. They are not allowed to have playdate.

4. They are not allowed to watch TV or play computer games.

5. They must achieve A for every course they take. They should not have any excuses for whatever, just get the job done.

6. They should overcome all issues on their own.

I think, many people do not agree Amy’s education methods, because they think Amy gave her 2 daughters too much pressure, she arranged all the things that she wants her child do, seems like she just want to change her children to her privacy pets, cause they’re no rights in their life. Even there are some extreme people think Amy maltreat her children, like her name—Tiger mother. But, in my opinion, these people are have a one-sided view, they didn’t conc entrate on the effect, just

pay attention to the process.

From the point of my view, I think there are different education system between the West Country and the East country. So we can not say Amy’s methods are right or wrong, right?

For instance, in china, student have too many works to do everyday, such as, Chinese\ math\ English\ politics\ history\ geography\ biology\ physics\ chemistry, maybe there are more courses than I said, in fact, the real life china students faced more difficult than adults can think, students have many work to do, many passage to recite, many exam to finish……parents, teachers, and the society place their hope on us, meanwhile, the pressure coming. To be frank, I never deny our duty, but, for most students, they can not stand this kind of pressure, how they can find happy in study life?

For Chinese education, teacher

concentrate on teaching their students read more, study more, write more, calculate more, exam more, all in all, more more more! And we named it basic education. On the contrary, the West country education, especially the USA, there parents, teachers pay attention on other ways that to teach their children to see more, think more, ask more, and then do more. It is obvious that Chinese students are lack of the practice ability comparative the West country students. As we known, Chinese education has a huge drawback---- it is serious departure the real life!

No matter whose that it is the Tiger mother, or the “Harvard girl”, “Yale boy”, in my opinion, they are the romalpa, and the romalpe didn’t have generalization. To be honest, in my own views, this guy’s success are set up in many failure cases, because in all of the world, specially in
