探索自然之美:一次难忘的户外教学之旅As the sun cast its warm glow over the landscape, our class embarked on an exciting outdoor teaching journey to explore the wonders of nature. With the bustling city far behind us, we found ourselves surrounded by the serene beauty of nature, a refreshing change from our usual classroom routine. The verdant green of the trees and the lush vegetation captivated our senses, and the sound of birds singing inthe distance added a melodic touch to the serene atmosphere. Our teacher led us through the trails, pointing out various plants and trees, explaining their unique features and significance in the ecosystem. The interactive nature ofthe lesson made learning more engaging and fun.As we trekked through the woods, we came across a small stream, its clear water glistening in the sunlight. The teacher encouraged us to observe the stream closely, noticing the tiny creatures and plants that thrived in its ecosystem. This hands-on experience allowed us toappreciate the interconnectedness of all life and thefragility of our natural environment. The highlight of the trip was when we reached a small clearing in the forest, where we were treated to a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountains. The teacher shared with us the importance of preserving such natural landscapes and the role we, as individuals, could play in protecting them. This powerful message resonated deeplywith us, inspiring us to become more responsible stewardsof our planet. As the sun began to set, we packed up our things and made our way back to the school bus. Although the trip was over, the memories and lessons learned would forever be etched in our minds. 八年级下册英语作文《皇帝的新装》80词
八年级英语作文《皇帝的新装》1Once upon a time, there was an emperor who was extremely fond of new clothes. One day, two cheats came to the emperor and said that they could make the most beautiful clothes in the world. These clothes were so special that only wise people could see them. The emperor was very happy and gave them a lot of gold and silk. The cheats pretended to be working hard day and night. When the emperor asked to see the clothes, they pointed to the empty loom and described the beautiful patterns and colors. The emperor and his ministers couldn't see anything but dared not admit it because they didn't want to be thought of as stupid. Finally, the emperor decided to have a parade to show off his new clothes. The emperor walked in the street naked, and the people along the street were silent. They all pretended to admire the clothes. But a child shouted loudly, "The emperor has nothing on!" At first, people were shocked. Then, they began to laugh. The emperor realized that he had been deceived and felt extremely embarrassed. This story shows that children are innocent and honest, while adults are often hypocritical and stupid. We should learn from children and always be true to ourselves.2Once upon a time, there was an emperor who was extremely fond of new clothes. One day, two cheats came to the emperor and claimed that they could make the most magnificent clothes that were invisible to those who were stupid or unfit for their positions. The emperor was intrigued and decided to have them make the clothes. When the cheats pretended to be working on the clothes, the emperor sent his ministers to check on the progress. The ministers, despite seeing nothing, praised the supposed clothes highly because they were afraid of being considered stupid or unfit. They said things like, "Oh, Your Majesty, these clothes are truly the most exquisite we have ever seen. The colors are so vivid and the patterns are so intricate."Then, the emperor himself came to see the clothes. Of course, he saw nothing either, but he didn't dare to admit it. He nodded with satisfaction and pretended to be very pleased. Finally, the emperor decided to wear these "invisible" clothes for a parade. The people in the street were silent at first, but no one dared to tell the truth. They all murmured in their hearts, "The emperor is naked," but no one dared to shout it out loud. They were afraid of being punished or thought of as fools. This story shows that sometimes people are afraid to speak the truth because of fear or the desire to please others. It is a cautionary tale thatreminds us to have the courage to be honest.3Once upon a time, there was an emperor who was extremely vain and cared only about his appearance and the admiration of others. I was one of the two cheats who came up with a brilliant plan to take advantage of his weakness. We decided to tell the emperor that we could weave the most magnificent cloth in the world, which was invisible to those who were stupid or unfit for their positions. The emperor, driven by his vanity, immediately showed great interest and gave us a large amount of gold and silk.In the process of "weaving", we pretended to be very busy every day, making all kinds of gestures as if we were working hard. The emperor sent his ministers to check our progress from time to time, but they were too afraid to admit that they saw nothing for fear of being considered stupid or unqualified. Finally, when it was time for the emperor to try on the "new clothes", we helped him put on the "invisible" outfit. The emperor, believing that he was wearing the most splendid garment, walked through the street in a proud manner. But in fact, he was naked. The people in the street dared not speak the truth either. It was only when a child shouted loudly, "The emperor has no clothes!" that theemperor realized his embarrassment and the absurdity of the whole thing. This story shows us the danger of vanity and the importance of telling the truth.4Once upon a time, there was an emperor who was extremely fond of new clothes. One day, two swindlers came to the emperor's city and claimed that they could weave the most beautiful cloth that was invisible to those who were stupid or unfit for their positions. The emperor was eager to have this special cloth and gave them a large amount of gold and silk. The swindlers pretended to be working hard on the loom, but there was actually nothing on it. When the emperor sent his ministers to check the progress, they all pretended to see the cloth because they didn't want to be considered stupid or unfit. Finally, the emperor himself came to see the "cloth" and also pretended to see it for fear of being laughed at.Then came the day of the parade. The emperor walked through the streets naked, and the people in the city were too afraid to say the truth. But a child shouted, "The emperor has nothing on!" Only then did everyone realize the truth. This story not only makes us laugh but also brings us a profound lesson. In real life, we often encounter situations similar to the emperor's new clothes. For example, some people may lie about their achievements to save face or gain praise. However, honesty is always the best policy.Lying may bring temporary benefits, but in the long run, it will destroy trust and relationships. Only by being honest can we build a true and reliable world.5Once upon a time, there was a story called "The Emperor's New Clothes". This story is not only interesting but also has profound meanings. In this tale, the emperor was deceived by two swindlers who claimed to make the most magnificent clothes that were invisible to those who were stupid or unfit for their positions. The emperor, driven by his vanity and the fear of being seen as unworthy, fell into the trap. This story reflects some serious social problems. Firstly, it shows how people's vanity can blind them to the truth. The emperor cared more about his appearance and the opinions of others than the reality. Secondly, it reveals the power of fear and the pressure to conform. Everyone around the emperor was afraid to speak out the truth for fear of being considered foolish or incompetent. To avoid such deceptions in our lives, we should always keep a clear mind and have the courage to question what seems too good to be true. We must not be influenced by others' opinions and have the confidence to believe in our own judgment. We should also encourage an environment where honesty is valued and rewarded, rather than punished. In conclusion, "The Emperor's New Clothes" is a powerful reminderthat we should stay true to ourselves and not be swayed by false appearances or societal pressures. Only by doing so can we avoid being fooled like the emperor in the story.。
英语作文范文八下10篇初二80词左右
英语作文范文八下10篇初二80词左右全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Summer VacationSummer vacation is the best time of the year! No more waking up super early, no more homework, and no more teachers telling me what to do. For two whole months, I can just relax and have fun. This summer was one of the most exciting ever! The first couple of weeks, I just stayed home and played video games all day. My mom got mad at me for being lazy, but I didn't care. I had waited all year for this! After a while though, I did get a little bored of the same games. That's when my parents decided it was time for me to get out of the house. We started by going to the community pool almost every day. I love swimming! The water was so refreshing on those hot summer days. I worked on my diving skills and played lots of pool games with my friends. Marco Polo was my favorite. One time, I was it for so long that my friends started calling me the Marco Polo master!A few weeks into summer, my family went on a big camping trip. We drove for what felt like forever into the mountains. Once we arrived at the campsite, my dad set up our tent while my mom started the campfire. Camping is lots of work, but so much fun! We spent the days hiking, canoeing on the lake, and searching for wildlife. At night, we roasted marshmallows and told spooky stories. I had never seen so many stars before! On the last night, we heard some scary noises outside our tent. My little sister was convinced it was a bear, but it turned out to be a family of raccoons getting into our snacks. What a relief! When we got back from camping, it was already the middle of July. Time goes by so fast during summer! My parents signed me up for a art camp for a couple of weeks. I've always loved drawing and painting, so I was really excited. We got to work with all sorts of different materials like watercolors, clay, and even crafting with recycled objects. My favorite project was the self-portrait I made out of colored pencils. It didn't look exactly like me, but I was still proud of it. The best part was getting to keep everything I made and bring it home. With just a few weeks left before school started again, we took a trip to visit my grandparents in another state. The drive took forever and my sister and I fought over everything in thebackseat. "She's on my side!" "No, I'm not, you're on my side!" Eventually, we made it to their house though. My grandparents spoiled us rotten with candy, toys, and sleeping in as late as we wanted. We spent one day at a baseball game, which was really cool except for the one foul ball that almost hit me in the face! I also got to play lots of card games with my grandpa. We're both competitive, so things got pretty intense. On our last night, we had a big barbecue with hamburgers, hot dogs, and my grandma's famous potato salad. I probably ate way too much, but it was so delicious! Finally, it was time to go back home and get ready for another school year. My parents took me shopping for all my fresh school supplies - new pencils, folders, a backpack, and those smelly sanitary things. Gross! I was really going to miss summer and sleeping in late. No more freedom for a while. At least I have all my awesome summer memories to look back on! This was a summer vacation I'll never forget.篇2My Life as a Middle SchoolerBeing in middle school is a really wild experience! There are so many new things to deal with compared to elementary school. The workload is way higher, with tons of homework and projects. And the social scene is just crazy - trying to figure out who your real friends are, dealing with cliques, and of course, the raging hormones! But I'm getting a little ahead of myself here. Let me give you a taste of a typical day in my middle school life.I wake up pretty early, around 6:30 am, to get ready for school. I have to be out the door by 7:45 to catch the bus. The bus ride is honestly kind of miserable. It's super crowded and noisy with all the middle schoolers screaming and carrying on. I usually just put in my headphones and tune it all out.Once I get to school, I go to my locker to get my books for my first few classes. The hallways are a total madhouse, with everyone rushing around. I've gotten shoved into a few lockers already this year! My homeroom class is English first period. That's probably my favorite subject and class. My teacher, Mr. Robertson, is actually pretty cool. Then it's off to math class, which is...not my forte, to put it mildly. No matter how hard I try, I just can't seem to wrap my head around algebra. My teacher, Mrs. Olson, has already called home about my failing test grades. My parents were not thrilled, to say the least. After math is science with Mr. Kozlowski. Science isn't too bad. As long as I avoid setting anything on fire during our labs, I usually do okay. Phew, it's time for break! I meet up with my friends Sarah and Chris at our usual spot in the cafeteria. We compare notes on how awful Mrs. Olson's surprise quiz was.Next up is history, my least favorite subject. I just can't stay awake no matter what I do. Dates, names, places...it all blends together into one massive snoozefest for me. At least my friends Jack and Emma are in that class too, so we can pass notes and goof off together. Finally, it's time for gym class! Definitely my favorite part of the day since I'm really into sports. Too bad I'm not that great at them. I'm a total klutz and always seem to get nailed in the head with a dodgeball or faceplant whenever we play volleyball. But hey, at least I'm trying, right? The rest of the afternoon is a blur of more classes, more homework getting piled on, and just desperately trying to survive until the final bell rings at 3:15. That's when I can finally relax and...just kidding! I have soccer practice right after school until 5:00.By the time I get home, I'm utterly exhausted. But there's still a towering mountain of homework to tackle. And my mom, ofcourse, has to nag me about it every five minutes. "Have you started your algebra homework yet? What about that book report that's due next week?" No rest for the weary!I eventually get a little break to just veg out, play some video games, and chill with friends online before bed. Rinse and repeat, this is my life, day after day. Middle school is no joke, that's for sure! Those were some pretty tame tales of my middle school exploits. Here are 10 short sample essays that really give you a taste of this wild ride:The Cafeteria Food DisasterIt was taco day in the cafeteria, which is usually an epic culinary tragedy. But nothing could have prepared me for the horror of accidentally grabbing the lava-hot salsa instead of the mild sauce. I'll spare you the gory details, but let's just say I redefined the meaning of "blazing stomach pain."My Locker's Evil CurseFrom the minute I got my locker assignment, I knew something was off. No matter how many times I tried the combination, it just wouldn't open! Finally, through tears of frustration, the janitor had to come free my books from its vengeful clutches. To this day, I avoid even looking at it.The Dodgeball Demolition Derby"Dodgeball" is really just a polite way of saying "human sacrifice." At least, that's how the popular kids seem to treat it, zeroing in on me and my nerdy friends like we're airborne bullseyes. I've got the welts and bruises to prove my battle scars from this barbaric ritual. The Great Stinkbomb SabotageIt had to be Tyler and his moronic buddies. Only they would think it's hilarious to unleash one of those vile stinkbombs in the middle of crowded hallway between classes. I still can't smell anything other than hot garbage to this day. Those idiots have unleashed something far worse than they can imagine. The Humiliating Homeroom IncidentNothing, and I mean NOTHING, could have prepared me for the sheer mortification of being caught picking my nose by my crush, Samantha. Just kill me now. At least when the teachers found out about the bullying afterwards, the school implemented a strict no-bullying policy. The Disastrous Dance DelugeWho decided it was a good idea to book a school dance right after the dishwasher repairmen worked on the cafeteriakitchen? I don't know how, but they managed to cause a literal tsunami of bubbles and dirty water that flooded the dance well before it even started. Yeah, it was cancelled...after total chaos. The Epic Cafeteria Spitball WarLet's just say that the anarchist punks who started the massive spitball fight picked the wrong day to mess with the teachers. Mrs. Stevenson, the permanently hangry math teacher, was working lunchroom duty and quickly put the fear of God into those idiots. I don't think I've ever seen someone run so fast! The Frantic Forgotten Locker ComboI must have had a pineapple-sized brain fart, because for the life of me I could not remember my locker combination. Cue a panicking meltdown as I hopelessly kept resetting the lock trying to jog my memory. In the end, the principal had to get a locksmith to open it. I felt like such a moron. The Unfortunate Unfortunate Underpants IncidentLet's just say that for future reference, always do a danceproof check and double knot those laces after gym class. I learned this lesson the incredibly hard way in front of the entire class. My bulging backpack did little to preserve my dignity afterwards. So. Mortifying. The Stinkeye ShowdownYou know that cringey awkward moment when you make accidental eye contact with your crush across the lunchroom? Well, my brain decided to take things one horrifying step further by making me wink...no, not wink...do a full-on grotesque spasm blink that basically looked like a full body cringe. I wanted to dissolve through the floor.Phew, I got through all of that by the skin of my teeth! Middle school is honestly a lawless wasteland most days. But I guess that's all part of the journey of growing up. I'll look back and laugh about it all someday...or have permanent psychological scarring. It could really go either way at this point! Only time will tell what other bizarre middle school madness still awaits.篇3My Life as an Elementary School KidHi there! My name is Emma and I'm 10 years old. I'm in the 5th grade at Oakwood Elementary School. I thought I'd tell you all about my life as a kid in elementary school.School DaysI wake up pretty early on school days, around 6:30am. My mom comes into my room to wake me up. I don't like waking up that early, but I have to be at school by 8am. I get dressed, brush my teeth, and head to the kitchen for breakfast. My favorite is waffles or pancakes! The bus picks me up at 7:30am. I like looking out the window and watching the neighborhoods go by on my way to school. When I get to school, I go straight to my classroom and put my backpack in my locker. The morning starts with the Pledge of Allegiance and morning announcements over the loudspeaker. My favorite subjects are math and science. I like solving problems and doing experiments. Reading is okay, but writing can be hard sometimes when you run out of ideas. Recess and lunch are definitely the best parts of the day! I love playing on the playground with my friends. We play tag, jump rope, and sometimes kickball or soccer if someone brings a ball. After school, I either go to aftercare at school or my mom picks me up. I have a snack when I get home and then I work on my homework. Once my homework is done, I can watch a little TV or play outside until dinner. On the WeekendsThe weekends are the best! I get to sleep in late, like until 9 or 10am. Then I have a lazy morning watching cartoons in my pajamas. For lunch, we sometimes go out to a restaurant which is fun.In the afternoons, I might have a birthday party, go to the park, or just play outside with friends from my neighborhood. If the weather is nice, we ride our bikes or play games in someone's backyard. Sometimes I get together with friends for a sleepover too which is really exciting! My mom takes me shopping sometimes on the weekends for new clothes or toys. I love getting new games, dolls, or books. Going to the movies is another fun weekend activity. My Hobbies and InterestsSome of my favorite hobbies are drawing, reading, and playing sports like soccer. I take an art class once a week where I get to paint and do other art projects. We have a little art show at the end of each semester to show off our masterpieces!I'm also part of my school's reading club. We get together once a month to discuss the book we've all read. It's cool to hear what other kids thought about the same book. We drink hot chocolate and eat snacks too.In the spring and fall, I play soccer on a recreational team. I love running around and trying to score goals. We have a game every Saturday during the season and a team practice once a week. Win or lose, it's just fun being part of a team and being active. That's a peek into my life as a 5th grader! Being a kid is awesome - you get to learn new things, play all the time, and have a whole childhood ahead of you. These are some of the best days ever!篇4My Wonderful School LifeHi there! My name is Emma and I'm in the 5th grade. I want to tell you all about my school life because it's just the best! Every morning, I wake up feeling excited to go to school and learn new things. My favorite subject is science because we get to do a lot of fun experiments. Last week, we made little volcanoes out of baking soda and vinegar. It was so cool to watch them erupt! Science class is never boring.I also really enjoy art class. We get to draw, paint, sculpt with clay - you name it! Recently, we learned about the famous artist Picasso and his unique cubism style of painting. I made my own cubism self-portrait and my mom hung it up on our fridge. She says I'm a little Picasso!Recess is definitely the highlight of my day though. My best friends Lucy and Olivia and I race over to the swing set as soon as the bell rings. We take turns pushing each other super high and pretending we can touch the clouds. Sometimes we play fun games like tag or hopscotch too. The hour just flies by!After recess, we have reading time which I used to dread. But this year, our teacher Mrs. Adams makes it so much fun. She does funny voices for all the different characters when she reads to us. My favorite book so far has been Charlotte's Web - I almost cried when Charlotte died!In the afternoons, we have math lessons which can be kind of tricky. But I'm getting better at remembering my times tables thanks to that catchy tune Mrs. Adams taught us. Who knew the multiplication facts could be so catchy? Before we know it, the final bell rings and it's time to go home. I always feel a little sad to leave school because I have such an awesome time. But I get recharged by playing outside, having snack, and doing my homework. Well, okay, the homework part isn't that fun. But I know it's important if I want to keep learning!School days are the best days if you ask me. I get to see my friends, explore new subjects, and exercise my brain. I'm already counting down the days until summer break is over so I can start 6th grade! Maybe I'll even join the science club or basketball team next year. The possibilities are endless.I feel so lucky to have great teachers who make learning an adventure. They encourage us to ask questions, try our best, and never give up - even when the work gets difficult. As long as we maintain a positive attitude and keep an open mind, we can conquer anything!Speaking of positive attitudes, my mom always packs me the yummiest lunch which gives me the energy I need to power through the day. A peanut butter and jelly sandwich, string cheese, baby carrots, an apple, and a granola bar - that's my favorite! I'm especially thankful she includes a special treat like a cookie or bag of chips too. After a busy day at school, I look forward to relaxing at home. I'll read, play outside, or watch a show. Sometimes Lucy and Olivia come over and we make up crazy dances or put onbackyard plays that we force our families to watch. We're all such drama queens! Before I know it, bedtime rolls around way too quickly. I begrudgingly get my pajamas on, brush my teeth, and try to stall as much as possible. I'm always begging for "five more minutes" until my dad starts pretending to snore loudly on the couch. That's my cue that it's time to go to sleep for real!As I snuggle under my cozy covers, I think back on the best parts of the day. I'll remember the jokes my friends and I shared at lunch or how proud I felt when I got a tough math problem right. Maybe I'll even dream about the awesome field trip we have coming up next week!School life is truly the best life. I'm making wonderful memories and discovering new interests every single day. Thanks for listening to me gush about how much I love being a student. It's the greatest! Well, I better go get some shut-eye so I'mwell-rested for another fun-filled day tomorrow. Thanks for reading and sweet dreams!篇5My Awesome Summer VacationWow, what an amazing summer I just had! It was totally the best vacation ever. I did so many fun things and had the craziest adventures. I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started on the last day of school. I was so excited for summer to finally begin. No more homework, no more waking up early, just months of freedom and fun ahead. My parents had some awesome plans in store too which made it even better. Our first trip was to the beach. We went to this really cool beach town a few hours away from our house. The beach was huge with soft golden sand that felt amazing between my toes. The water was this beautiful blue-green color and nice and warm for swimming. I spent hours playing in the waves, building sandcastles, and burying my little brother up to his neck in the sand (he wasn't too happy about that!).After a few days at the beach, we went camping in the mountains. We have this big tent that feels like a mini house inside. My favorite part was making s'mores around the campfire at night. They're so gooey and delicious! We also went on some awesome hikes and saw lots of cool wildlife like deer, squirrels, and even a bear from pretty far away. Camping is tons of fun but I'm definitely glad we don't have to do it all summer long. I like having a real bed!The best part of the summer though was the week I got to spend at sleepaway camp. I was a little nervous at first since it was my first time being away from my parents for that long. But I made friends with my bunkmates right away and we had a total blast together. We did all sorts of activities like swimming, archery, arts and crafts, and my favorite - the ropes course up in the trees! It was a little scary up so high at first but then it felt like a real adventure. We also had these epic counselors who were crazy fun. I can't wait to go back again next year! After camp, my family took me on a surprise trip to an amusement park. It had the craziest biggest roller coasters I've ever seen! My stomach felt like it was going to jump out of my body on some of those loops and turns. I loved every second of it though and my brother was too chicken to go on most of the big rides so I didn't have to wait in line as much. We also went on some goofy rides that spun you around really fast. I thought I was going to puke after those ones! I may have ridden one too many times haha. Before I knew it, summer was coming to an end way too soon. I tried to soak up as much fun and freedom as I possibly could those last couple weeks. I didn't have a single complaintabout being bored or having nothing to do. My days were packed with excitement and adventure from start to finish. Now the new school year is starting up again. Part of me is bummed that summer is over because it's back to early mornings, homework, and having my days planned out for me. But I guess that makes actually having a break for summer that much more special. This summer will definitely be one I never forget. Between the beach, camping, sleepaway camp, amusement parks, sleepovers, and all the other amazing times, I have enough incredible memories to last until next summer. Third grade is going to be awesome, but I'm already dreaming about summer 2024 and what adventures await!篇6My Big AdventuresHi there! My name is Jamie and I'm 10 years old. I just finished 5th grade and I've had such an exciting year full of big adventures that I can't wait to tell you all about! It all started last summer when my family went on a huge road trip across the country. We drove over 2,000 miles from our home in California all the way to New York City! I had never been that far away from home before. The drive took forever, but itwas so much fun. We stopped at roadside diners, quirky museums, and saw the most amazing natural wonders like the Grand Canyon. That thing is MASSIVE! Pictures don't do it justice at all. When we finally made it to New York, I couldn't believe how big and busy and crazy it was. The towering skyscrapers made me feel so tiny. We went to the top of the Empire State Building and I could see the entire city laid out below us. We also went to Broadway and saw the musical "Wicked" which was my first time seeing a live show like that. The singers and dancers were just incredible! After New York, we made our way down to Washington D.C. This was definitely the most educational part of the trip. We visited so many museums and memorials and learned all about American history. My favorite was the National Air and Space Museum because I'm obsessed with space and want to be an astronaut when I grow up. I got to see real rockets and spacecraft up close. It was out of this world! (Get it? Ha!)On the way back across the country, we made a stop in Chicago that ended up being one of the biggest adventures of all. My dad got us surprise tickets to see the Chicago Cubs play baseball at Wrigley Field. It was the first time I had ever been to amajor league baseball game and the energy in that stadium was electric! We had seats right behind home plate and I even caught a foul ball! I'll never forget that night. When we finally returned home to California, I felt like a true world traveler at 10 years old. That road trip across America opened my eyes to so many new places, people and experiences.I have so many amazing memories that I'll cherish forever. My project looked at the impact of extreme cold, radiation, salt and acidity on bacterial growth. It was like a messy science explosion in my room with petri dishes everywhere! In the end, I discovered that certain bacteria could indeed survive in incredibly harsh Martian-like conditions. I presented my whole experiment to the class with a PowerPoint presentation and even made little 3D models of bacteria. Mrs. Henderson was so impressed that she submitted my project to the school's science fair where I ended up winning 1st place! I was over the moon (pun intended). With my newfound fame as a 5th grade science prodigy, I was invited to be a special guest speaker and give a presentation at a local university. Can you believe it?? At 10 years old, I got to talk to actual college students and professors about my space bacteria research. I was so nervous beforehand, but it ended upbeing the coolest experience. Apparently the professors were really impressed by my advanced knowledge and experimental methods. Who knows, maybe I'll end up teaching at that university one day! That's not even the end of my crazy 5th grade adventures though. A few weeks after the science fair, our class went on a field trip to a nature reserve to study ecosystems and biodiversity. We got to hike through the woods, canoe across a lake, and see tons of amazing plants and animals up close. The highlight was when our guide pulled a massive snake out of a bucket to show us! Most of the kids were terrified, but not me. I've always loved reptiles so I was first in line to hold it. that snake was easily 6 feet long and muscular, but surprisingly gentle. What an absolute thrill!Whew, I warned you it was a year jam-packed with adventures, didn't I? From cross-country road trips to winning science fairs to holding giant snakes, 5th grade kept me on my toes at every turn. I have no idea what craziness is in store for 6th grade, but I can't wait to find out. A life of adventure and discovery awaits!Well, that's all for this story time. Let me know if you want to hear about the time I got stuck in a treehouse overnight or mydisastrous attempt at baking a soufflé. An adventurer's work is never done!。

Have severalstudents share their answers.2 Revise instructions for flying a kite.3 Check homework.Step 2 Spelling and pronunciation1 SB Page 19, Part 1, Speech Cassette Lesson 80 (Phonic Reading Work). Books closed. Follow the same steps as in Lesson 68, Step 2, of the TB. Use flashcards rather thangoing straight to the book.2 Do Ex. 1 in Wb Lesson 80. Instruct the students to associate the words in this exercise with the words listed in Part 1, SB Lesson 80. In this way they can learnhow to pronounce English words without the phonetic symbols.3 Do Ex. 2 in Wb Lesson 80. Have students read aloud the words and ask otherstudents to spell them. This shows the function of spelling rules.Step 3 Stress and intonation1 SB Page 19, Part 2, Speech Cassette Lesson 80. Books closed. Ask students tolisten for the stresses in each sentence. Play the tape. Play it again and get thestudents to repeat, showing the stress with a gesture.2 Tell the students that intonation shows when the speaker is making a statement (usually a falling tone), asking a yes/no question (rising tone) or shows the speaker's feelings. Demonstrate by saying Yes in different ways:A Yes. (falling) affirmativeB Yes? (rising) a questionC Yes! (falling with extra stress) an exclamationShowthe intonation with a gesture. Play the tape. Play it again and get students to repeat, showing the intonation with gestures.Step 4 Read and chantNote: Each language has its own rhythm, and the rhythm of English is differentfrom the rhythm of Chinese. Stress, intonation and rhythm all work together. Thepurpose of a chant is to work on the rhythm of English. Along with rhythm, reduced speech is often u sed. Even though we want to emphasize correct pronunciation, reduced speech is also part of language. (An example of reduced speech from Chinese is whenyou ask someone多少钱, the少is often reduced and becomes /aou/with the/M/beingpronounced lightly at all.) Also, it is reduced speech that tends to make listeningvery difficult for your students. By becoming familiar with reduced speech along with the rhythm of English, your students will not only increase their speaking fluencyand naturalness, but also their listening capability.1 SB Page 19, Part 3. Play the tape. Have the students listen for the rhythm andthe reduced speech. For example: What's his favourite s port? becomes what's is,What's her becomes What's er, etc.2 Play the tape again and have the students repeat, paying attention to the rhythm and intonation (Notice that the intonation for the questions is not rising butrising/falling because they are not yes/no questions.)3 Divide the class into two groups. Group A reads the question lines e.g. What's favourite sport? and Group B reads the sports' lines, e.g. football, football, football! Switch groups and repeat.Step 5 Ask and answerSB Page 19, Part 4. In pairs, have the students ask each other questions concerning themselves. Each person should fill in the“ID card”in their book. Have severalstudents volunteer to tell the class about their partner. Make sure they use the correct pronouns (his/her).Step 6 Listen and answerSB Page 19, Part 5, Listening Cassette Lesson 80. Wb Lesson 80, Ex. 1. Let the students read the questions before listening to the tape.Listening TextLUCY: Hi, Han Mei!HAN MEI: Hi, Lucy!LUCY: That's a nice bike.HAN MEI: Yes, it's new. It's not broken.Explain the meaning of want a go, I'm going, look out by gesture or in Chinese. The answers are: 1B; 2C; 3C.Step 7 Read1 SB Page 20, Part 6*. This part is optional.Say My favourite basketball player is . Ask Who is your favourite basketball player? Have several students answer.2 Ask Who is Mike's favorite player? Write this question on the Bb. With booksclosed, play the tape. Check the answer. Switch. Be sure to walk around the class during this activityand give help where needed.5 Do Wb Lesson 80, Ex. 6*.Step 8 SongSB Page 20, Part 7*. Get the students to listen to the tape and then sing the song. If no tape is available, perhaps some of the students c an make up a tune. Arrange a singing competition between different groups.Step 9 Checkpoint 20Go through Checkpoint 20 with the students. Encourage them to ask questions ifthere is anything they are not sure about.Step 10 WorkbookSB Pages 92-94, Wb Lesson 80, Exx. 3 and 4. The two exercises can be done afterclass as homework. Exx. 6-10 are optional.Step 11 TestDictate a few new words taught in this unit and the following dialogue.A:Can you fly a kite?B:No, I can't. It's too hard.A:No, it's easy. Let me help you. Run with it like this.B:Yes, it's high! Thanks very much.HomeworkFinish off the Workbook exercises. Some extra practice and enrichment1 Writing practice. The students know enough English at this point that they are able to write simple paragraphs. Help them write a short paragraph about their favourite athlete.Have them tell why they like the athlete. If some of the students don't want to write about a favourite athlete, have them write about a famous person they admire. Have them tell why that person is their favourite famous person.2 Teach the following tongue twister to practice some of the vowel sounds foundin Lesson 80, Page 19, Part 1.How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?3 Many students love to watch and play sports. They often watch their favouriteathletes. In western countries, students often collect“ baseball cards” with the information about various athletes. However, these cards are for all sports such as basketball, football and even ice-skating.Have each student maketheir own“ baseball card ”with their favourite athlete. They should include the person's birthdate, age, and accomplishments. Then you can allow time for the students to“ swap” their cards.初中英语教课方案文讯教育教课方案Have them ask each other Can I see your card? Do you want to swap?XX文讯教育机构WenXun Educational Institution。
