这一课时有三个部分:1.Listen and follow. 2.Look and say. 3.Listen and learn the English sounds. 1.部分借助听Sally对大家说了什么,以此引出句子“Please come to my birthday party.”,听力内容情境化地呈现了3个目标词汇:football,present,card;让学生通过看、听、说等途径来感知并学习这些词汇。

2.部分通过看图片说对话,帮助学生操练词汇,并体会词汇在交际情境中的运用。

3.部分让学生根据听,然后学会写重点单词。

二、学生情况分析学生通过上册书的学习,已经能够听懂、会说基本的形容词、名词,能够听懂会说基础句子,及其答语,这些词汇和句子的掌握为本学期本节课的学习打下了良好的基础。

T oday my topic is from Primary English Book 2 of Fujian’s Education Press, Part A of unit 1: Birthday. I will talk about it from 4 parts. Part 1: Teaching MaterialsFirstly, I’ll talk about the status and functions of this lesson.This lesson is about how to celebrate someone’s birthday. Part A is the first lesson in this book, a new start, and a link between the preceding and the following parts. It enables students to know how to prepare for others birthday. At the same time, it can develop students’ ability to communicate with others.Secondly, teaching objectives.According to the new English standard curriculum, the facts of Ss, and the teaching material, I set up teaching objectives as follows.1) Ss can understand and use these words: birthday, card, buy, present, football, these sentences: Please come to my birthday party. Let’s buy a present. What about…? No,no/Good idea in real situation.2) Ss can pronounce the letters “a”/?/ in stressed close syllable3) Students are able to know something about the birthday party and how to give advice of birthday present for their friends.Thirdly, the key points and the difficult points.The key points are the new words “birthday, card, buy, present, football”, and the new sentences “Please come to mybirthday party. Let’s buy a present. What about…?No,no/Good idea”The difficult points are the pronunciation of /?/and how to use the language knowledge of this lesson to communicate and act.N ext I’ll talk about part 2Part 2 Teaching methods and Learning MethodsWe all know “T eaching has no stationary method, but taking the right one has great value.” According to the new English Curriculum, we should respect the Ss while teaching, making them the centre of class and” learn by finishing task in the real situation”. Thus it suggests teacher had better u se “Task-based” language teaching method to teach primary Ss. Keeping these in mind, I mainly use TBL method, besides I also use situational teaching method, TPR method, and modern electricity teaching method. What’s more, tape recorders, PPT are needed in my class.There is an old saying: “It is better to teach a man to fish than to give him fish”. So during the teaching procedure, I stress on Ss’ learning method, making Ss learning by playing, and learning by doing. In addition, the students in Grade 3 of primary school usually have strong curiosity, and their imitation ability is good, thus it’s the best time to learn English. So, in my class, I aim to cultivate their interests of learning English, using self-probe study and cooperative study and make Ss grasp the new knowledge through listening, speaking, observing, thinking etc. Now let’s come to the most important part.Part 3 Teaching ProceduresStep 1 Warming-up [3mins]1)Greeting. Then set the competition rules. And divide the whole class into 4 groups, during class I will add scores to eachgroup trough their behavior. The highest scores will be No.1 andI will give everyone in this group a pen as present.2)Sing a song: “Happy Birthday”with the pupils. By this song it builds a good English learning atmosphere as well as makes bedding of new lesson.Step 2 Pre-task [10mins]1)Words learning: After sing the song, guide Ss to guess the meaning of “Happy Birthday”. Tell Ss that today is Sally’s birthday! Then lead-in and present the topic: Unit 1 Birthday Part A. Teach the word of “birthday”. Tell Ss we all want present on birthday, teach “present”.2)Revision game “high and low voice”: First make example, then play group by group. By doing these Ss will review and learn the words in real situation, learning by playing and remember them easily.Step 3 While-task [11mins]Presentation: Show sally’s invitation card on PPT, and teach the sentence “Please come to my birthday party”. Then tell Ss that Sally also invite her friends “Yang Ming, Wang Tao and Julia” Let’s see what are they doing? Then let Ss watch the video of the text. Then present task 1.Task 1: Listen and choose. Show Qs on PPT; let Ss answer them. Then let Ss read after tape, circle the unknown words, then I will explain the Qs & text.Task 2: look and say. Tell Ss sally’s friends buy a rabbit as present, what about us? Teach “what about…”naturally. Show examples, what about a pen? What about a football? Then guide Ss answer “Good idea.”“No, no”after that give Ss 1min to practice the text in group and role play in class. By this step Ss can understand new words and sentences before learn to use.Step 4 Post-task [13mins]1)Game: the more, the better. Let Ss use “What about…” to make sentence one byone in their group in 1 min. find out which groups do best add points. By this step, most Ss can take their parts in activities, and also check their learning by playing and doing, cultivating cooperation spirits.2)“Go Shopping” In this task I will prepare some real things such as pen, bag onthe desk, and give 2 mins to Ss to prepare, and each group have a chance to buy a present for Sally. After Ss act, make comments on their presentation. By this step, the game can avoid boredom from the pure machine drills.3)Pronunciation teaching: find A’s secret! First let Ss find the A’s secret from words“cat, bag, hat, black”. Then I’ll ask some Ss, and show them a sentence, “A black cat has a blue bag, a black cat has a pink hat.” Finally, check Ss pronunciation anduse PPT to show Ss a picture of the shape of our mouth of “/?/” and ask Ss to put two fingers in front of their mouths. By directly looking, speaking, and feeling, Ss can easily learn the pronunciation rightly.Step 5 Summary and Homework [3min]Sum up and comments on Ss behavior and praise the best group. 1、先告诉同学英语的26个字母中有五个元音字母,它们分别是:A, E, I, O, U,其余的字母都是辅音字母。

2、让同学看课本第3页,告诉同学a 在闭音节中读[æ]。

什么是闭音节?闭音节以辅音结
尾,而且是重读音节,在这个音节中只有一个元音字母,如:bag, cat, black都是闭音节。

apple 可以分成ap-ple两个音节,重音在第一个音节,它的第一个音节是闭音节。

3、为了让学生巩固对拼读规则的理解,老师可以多给几个单词,让学生练习拼读(不要求他们懂得单词的意思),可供练习的单词有:hat map bat dad sat nap sad lad gap fat pad rat
