牛津英语6B复习1 词性变化方法一、名词变为形容词的方法1. 在名词后面加-y可以变成形容词(尤其是一些与天气有关的名词)。

如:I want to buy a dress. 我想买条裙子。
He wants to be a football player. 他想成为一名足球运动员。
二、want和would like的区别would like to do sth是愿意作某事表示愿意乐意,而want to do sth 表示想要做某事,表达一种想法。
比前者程度更深would like和wantA. 在下列情况下,这两个词可以互换使用:1. 用于请求或有关请求的问句中Customer:I’d like some strawberries, please./I want some strawberries, please.顾客:请给我拿点儿草莓。
Greengrocer:I’m afraid I haven’t any.Would you like some pineapples?蔬菜水果商:对不起,我没有草莓了.您来点菠萝怎么样?Customer:No, I don’t want any pineapples, thanks.顾客:不,我不想要草莓.(这里不能用wouldn’t like.)I would like常常要比I want更有礼貌。
would you like? 要比do you want?更有礼貌,也更殷勤。
would you like? 可以含有愿意满足别人的希望的意思。
do you want? 则不含有这种意思。
因此,与顾客或客人打交道时,通常用would you like?:Caller:I’d like to/ I want to speak to Mr X, please.打电话者:我想找X先生说话.Telephonist:Mr X is out.Would you like to speak to Mr Y?话务员:X先生出去了.您跟Y先生说行吗?2. 如果不是提出请求而只是谈到愿望时,可以随意用would like或want的肯定式、疑问式或否定式.它们的意思没有区别。
然而,I want要比I would like显得更自信。
I want通常不用于表示不可实现的愿望:I would like to live on Mars.但愿我能住到火星上去.B. would like和want在下列用法中不能互换:1. 表示邀请时用would you like?结构,而不能用do you want? 结构:Would you like a cup of coffee? 您想喝一杯咖啡吗?Would you like to come to the theatre? 您想来剧院看戏吗?do you want?用于此处只表示一种询问,不含有邀请的意思。
2. wouldn’t like和don’t want是有区别的.don’t want表示没有某种愿望;wouldn’t like表示不喜欢。
因此,wouldn’t like不能用来回答邀请或提议,因为在这种回答中wouldn’t like的口气将是不礼貌的。
在这里常用don’t want或其他形式来代替wouldn’t like:—Would you like some more coffee? —您再来点儿咖啡吗?—No, I don’t want any more, thanks./No, thanks.—不,不要了,C. 在过去时中这两种形式的变化不同.在间接引语中want变为wanted, 而would like 不起变化:Tom said, ‘I would like/want to see it’.汤姆说:“我想看看它”,相当于:Tom said he would like/wanted to see it.汤姆说他想看看它.但如果不用间接引语的结构来表示,只能说:Tom wanted to see it(这里我们不能用would like因为Tom would like to see it的意思是指现在或将来).D. would like有两个过去形式:would like+ 不定式的完成式或would like+ 不定式/名词/代词.这些形式只能表示未能实现的愿望:I’d like to have gone skiing./I’d have liked a day’s skiing.我本想去滑雪的.(但我未能实现我的愿望.)三、职业名词:【语言知识点】1. How are you getting on? 近来怎么样?这句话在不同的场合意义有所不同,通常后面再跟介词with,使意思更加明确。
如:How are you getting on with your study? 你学习怎么样?How are you getting on with your job these days? 这些天工作怎么样?How are you getting on in Beijing? 你在北京过得怎么样?本单元中这句话的意思应该是问“你们学习怎么样?”2. Miss Li is asking the students about their dreams. 李老师在问学生们他们的梦想。
ask sb about sth 意为:问某人有关……,如:My mother asked me about my lessons. 我妈妈问了我有关我功课的情况。
I am going to ask him about the Moon. 我将我他有关月球的情况。
3. What do you want to be in the future? 你将来想成为什么?4. Many children don’t care about their teeth. 许多孩子不关心自己的牙齿。
He wants to take care of children’s teeth. 他想照顾孩子们的牙齿。
第一句中的care是动词,第二句中的care是名词,意思都是“关心,在乎”。
我们以前其形容词和副词形式:careful, carefully。
1)care about意为“关心,在乎”,如:Do you care about your future? 你关心你的未来吗?He doesn’t care about his clothes. 他不讲究衣着。
2)take care of照料,照顾,相当于look after。
She is taking care of her father. = She is looking after her father. 她正在照顾她的父亲。
take good care of = look after well 好好照顾。
如:Please take good care of your child. = Please look after your child well. 请照顾好你的孩子。
5. Dancing makes people healthy and beautiful. 舞蹈能使人们健康和美丽。
Music makes people happy. 音乐使人们快乐。
句型“make sb. + 形容词”,意为“使得某人……”,如:The film made me sad. 这部电影让我很伤心。
现在就make的用法作一小结:一、make用作及物动词,它的含义有:(一)做;制作;制造.如:Can you make model planes? 你会做模型飞机吗?◆make后可跟双宾语, 间接宾语后移时一般用for引导.如:My uncle will make me a kite.= My uncle will make a kite for me. 叔叔将为我做一只风筝.(二)准备;布置;整理。
如:You must make the bed after you get up. 你起床后必须整理好你的床铺。
二、make用作及物动词, 意为“使;让”,Don't make the baby cry anymore. 不要再让那个孩子哭了.三、make用作及物动词,后接复合宾语,表示“使……成为……;使成为……”时,通常由形容词、名词、介词短语充当宾语补足语。
