(3 minutes)Part IV Read the passage aloud first, and then answer some questions.(3 minutes)Writing a StoryWhere do you start if you want to write a successful story? Clearly, what you need first of all is an idea which you can develop into a strong plot. But where do ideas like this come from? The answer is "anywhere and everywhere."They may come from something that has happened to you or to someone else, from a newspaper, an interesting picture, or even a song. It's a good idea to keep a notebook nearby so that you can write down the details of any odd incidents which catch your imagination.Make a note of ideas for titles too, and any special phrases or descriptions that you think of. A small tape recorder can prove useful for this purpose. Some writers even keep one by their bed in case they wake up with the "idea of the century". Another method of developing the story is to make use of the characters themselves. Why not try putting three people you know well into a situation such as a wedding, where feelings may be very strong, and see what happens. But don't make the final characters too much like your Aunt Jane or Uncle Jim or you may find yourself in real trouble.Questions:1. What should you do, first of all, if you want to write a successful story? (Finda good idea which can be developed into a strong plot.)2. Where do these good ideas come from? (They may come from something that has happened to you or to someone else, from a newspaper, an interesting picture, or even a song.)3. What's the use of a small tape recorder? (You won't miss any great idea if you have a tape recorder with you.)。

Clearly, what you need first of all is an idea which you can develop into a strong plot. But where do ideas like this come from? The answer is "anywhere and everywhere." They may come from something that has happened to you or to someone else, from a newspaper, an interesting picture, or even a song. It's a good idea to keep a notebook nearby so that you can write down the details of any odd incidents which catch your imagination. Make a note of ideas for titles too, and any special phrases or descriptions that you think of. A small tape recorder can prove useful for this purpose. Some writers even keep one by their bed in case they wake up with the "idea of the century".Another method of developing the story is to make use of the characters themselves. Why not try putting three people you know well into a situation such as a wedding, where feelings may be very strong, and see what happens. But don't make the final characters too much like your Aunt Jane or Uncle Jim or you may find yourself in real trouble. Questions:1. What should you do, first of all, if you want to write a successful story?(Find a good idea which can be developed into a strong plot.)2. Where do these good ideas come from?(They may come from something that has happened to you or to someone else, from a newspaper, an interesting picture, or even a song.)3. What's the use of a small tape recorder?(You won't miss any great idea if you have a tape recorder with you.)。

Education1) Do you have any ideas about how to be a good student?Different people have different opinions about how to be a good student. As for me, I think a good student should have at least three important qualities.First, a good student should be very diligent in his study. He will spend a lot of time in studying, and the more he studies, the more he will improve his knowledge. A great man once said, “Genius is nothing but labor and diligence.”Second, to cultivate one’s own virtue is also very important. A good student should be honest, warmhearted, and always ready to help others.Third, a strong body is essential for being a good student. Anyone who has not a strong body can do nothing great for his country, even if he is very bright and intelligent.2) Do you think environment has had more influence on you than heredity?Y es. I think environment has more influence on me than heredity. Maybe heredity has also played a part. But hard working is more important.I’ve always been a diligent student. I ask myself to do everything carefully and be responsible for everything I do. That’s why I have academic success and I am still able to develop my other talents as in music. And my success should be contributed largely to hard working.3) What do you think is the purpose of school education? It’s true that children go to school to learn their own language, other languages, arithmetic, geography, history, science and all the other subjects. But why do they learn these things?Children are sent to school to prepare themselves for the time when they will grow up and will have to work for themselves. Nearly all they study at school has some practical use in their life. There is more in education than just learning facts. We go to school above all to learn how to learn, so that when we have left school we can continue to learn. A man who really knows how to learn will always be successful, because whenever he has to do something new, he will rapidly teach himself how to do it in the best way. The uneducated person, on the other hand, is unable to do something new, or does it badly. The purpose of schools, therefore, is not just to teach pupils various subjects, but to teach pupils the way to learn.8.Online learning of English1) How do the three elements (online, book and classroom) relate to each other? The online material is designed to present new language in a vivid and memorable context, and to enable you practice and test your comprehension. (3 minutes)Part IV Read the passage aloud first, and then answer some questions.(3 minutes)Writing a StoryWhere do you start if you want to write a successful story? Clearly, what you need first of all is an idea which you can develop into a strong plot. But where do ideas like this come from? What's the use of a small tape recorder?(Y ou won't miss any great idea if you have a tape recorder with you.)。
