同略读(skimming)一样,查读也是一种快速阅读技巧。

训练有素的读者善于运用查读捕捉具体信息,以提高阅读效率。

查读是一种从大量的资料中查找某一项具体事实或某一项特定信息——如人物、事件、时间、地点、数字等——而对其他无关部分则略去不读的快速阅读方法。

运用这种方法,读者就能在最短时间内掠过尽可能多的印刷材料,定位到所需的信息。

例如,在车站寻找某次列车或汽车的运行时刻,在机场寻找某次班机的飞行时刻,在图书馆查找书刊的目录,在文献中查找某一日期、名字、数字或号码等,都可以运用这种方法。

1. 略读(Skimming)又称跳读(reading and skipping)或浏览(dancing), 是一种非常实用的快速阅读技能,其目的是以尽可能快的速度了解文章的大意和主题思想,并对文章的结构有个总的概念例如: 浏览报纸;书籍的目录略读的特点:1) 以极快的速度阅读大量材料,寻找字面上或事实上的主要信息和少量的阐述信息。

2) 可以跳过某个部分或某些部分不读。

3) 理解水平可以稍低一些,但也不能太低。

一般阅读的目标是在保持一般阅读速度的条件下,获得尽可能高的理解水平,通常达到70%或80%。

略读时, “不需要高度理解”,平均理解率达50% 或60%就可以了。

4) 根据文章的难易程度和要达到的目的,不断灵活地调整阅读速度。

略读可以运用下列技巧:1) 要利用印刷细节(typographical details), 如书或文章的标题、副标题、小标题、斜体词、黑体词、脚注、标点符号等,对书和文章进行预测略读(preview skimming)。

预测略读要了解作者的思路、行文方式(模式), 以便把握大意、相关细节及其相互关系。

2) 以一般阅读速度(每分钟200-250词)阅读文章开头的第一、二段,力求抓住文章大意、背景情况、作者的写作风格、口吻或语气等。

3) 阅读段落的主题句和结论句。

抓住主题句就掌握了段落大意,然后略去细节不读,以实现略读速度。

4) 注意转折词和序列词。

转折词如however, moreover, in addition等; 序列词如Firstly, secondly 等。

5) 若无需要,不必阅读细节。

Do TextC and D2.查读(Scanning)又称寻读, 目的主要是为了从大量的资料中迅速查找某一项具体事实或某一项特定信息,如数字、时间、人名、地名等。

在查读时,目光要自上而下、一目数行地寻视与答题内容相关的词句, 与此无关的内容要很快略过。

在最短的时间内掠过尽可能多的印刷材料,找到所需要的信息。

例如: 在车站寻找某次列车的运行时刻, 在机场寻找某次班机的起飞时间, 在图书馆查找书刊的目录,在文献中查找某一日期、名字、数字或号码等,都可以运用这种方法。

查读的特点:查读既要求速度又要求准确性,带有明确的目的性。

因此可以把整段整段的文字直接映入大脑不必字字过目,视线在印刷材料上掠过时, 一旦发现有关内容,就要稍作停留,将它记住或摘下;查读可运用下列技巧:1)利用材料的编排形式按字母顺序排列的,如词典、索引、邮政编码簿、电话号码簿以及其他参考资料等。

按日期和时间排列的, 如电视节目,历史资料。

报纸上的体育版面是按比赛类别(足球、排球、网球)排列的等等。

2)利用章节标题和说明查读时,首先看看文章标题或章节标题,确定文章是否包含自己所需要的材料,或者哪一部分包含哪些材料,这样可以直接翻到那个部分进行寻找。

1.阅读方式阅读有不同的目的。

有的时候只需要我们阅读的东西获得总体的印象,这就是略读;有些时候要快速地找到某些特定的信息,这就是跳读。

1.1略读(Skimming)或称为通读,指的是快速的阅读一篇文章并对其内容有个整体概念,是快速阅读技巧之一,从结果上讲,能够帮助你提高阅读理解力.并节省时间。

按目的性分类:①预览:在真正阅读之前用来挑选阅读材料。

如:选定某一本书,概括一个章节或者搜寻有用的研究资料。

②概述:获得所阅凄的材料的概况,用在资料特别多或者没有时间仔细阅读的时候。

③复阅:在使用该阅读材料之前,为了使该资料得到在头脑中巩固的回顾、复习。

例如:进考场前再看一眼复习资料,讲话前再看一遍发言稿。

略读的关键:①要利用印刷细节(type graphicaldetails),如书或文章的标题、副标题、小标题、斜体词、黑体词、脚注、标点符号等,对书和文章进行预测略凑(preview skimming)。

预测略读要了解作者的思路、文章方式(模式),以便把握大意,有关的细节及其相互关系。

②以一般阅读速度(200~500个单词/rain),阅凄文章开头的一、二段,力求抓住文章大意、背景情况、作者的文章风格、口吻或语气等。

③阅读段落的主题句和结论句。

抓住主题句就掌握了段落大意,然后略去细节不读,以求得略读速度。

④注意转折词和序列词。

⑤若无需要,不必阅读细节,只需阅读文章的标题。

1.2跳读(Scanning)为了快速地找到某些特定的信息,一般采用跳读的方法。

在考试(针对具体考题)和生活中(查找有用数据、字典、导游册、电话簿、引经据典)实用而且常见。

按目的性分类:考试阅读:因为跳读的目的是寻找特定信息,特别是在考试中不但有时间限制,准确性更是重要。

所以既要快速又不失精准,可称之为效率跳读。

例如:若文中询问“when”你就只需寻找相关的时间;若文中询问“where”你就需要寻找相关的地点,其余便可忽略。

现实生活阅读:为了使跳读更有目的性、更有效,你应对所要寻找的信息有一个清晰的概念,例如:日期、地点、某个含义、某个特征,并了解在哪里更有可能找到。

在找到合适的这部分材料之后,你尽可能仔细地阅读以找到问题的答案,即称之为准确优先跳读。

例如:在电话薄中查一个电话号码,或是在字典中查单词。

跳渎的关键:①利用材料的编排形式。

如词典、索引、邮政编码簿、电话号码簿以及其它参考资料簿等。
