a humorous character in a play一部戏剧中一个滑稽的角色常用词缀-ous为形容词后缀,通常放在名词后,表示“……的”。

如: danger(危险)→dangerous(危险的); mountain(山) →mountainous(多山的); courage(勇气)→courageous(勇敢的); poison(毒)→ poisonous(有毒的)。
