1Unit 2: My DayHi there! My name is Lily and I'm a 7th grader at Sunshine Middle School. In this essay, I'm going to tell you all about a typical day in my life. Get ready for an exciting journey! My day usually starts around 6:30 AM. The annoying buzzing of my alarm clock wakes me up. I hit the snooze button a few times before finally forcing myself out of my warm, cozy bed. The first thing I do is head to the bathroom to brush my teeth and wash my face. Looking in the mirror, I try to tame my wild bed head hair. Once I'm somewhat presentable, I go back to my room to get dressed for school.Next up is breakfast - the most important meal of the day! My mom is an amazing cook. She always prepares a nutritious and delicious breakfast for me. Sometimes it's congee with pickled vegetables, other times it's fried eggs with tomatoes and green onions. No matter what, it gives me energy to power through my morning. After gulping down breakfast, I quickly pack up my backpack.I make sure I have all my books, notebooks, pencils, and anything else I might need for my classes that day. The last thing I grab is my lunchbox which my dad so lovingly prepares for me every morning. He makes the best egg salad sandwiches!By 7:30 AM, I'm out the door and walking the few blocks to school. I love getting a head start on my day by walking instead of driving or taking the bus. The fresh air wakes me up and the exercise is good for me. On my walk, I sometimes meet up with my best friend Amy and we chat about the latest movies, music, TV shows, etc.I arrive at school around 7:50 AM which gives me plenty of time before the first bell at 8:15 AM. I go to my locker to drop off my backpack and jacket. Then I head over to the playground to hang out with my friends. We play games like four square or just sit around gossiping. The morning playground time is one of my favorite parts of the day!The bell rings and it's time for my first class - math. Math has never been my strongest subject but I'm working really hard this year. After math, I have English which is much more my cup of tea. I love reading novels, writing stories, and learning aboutgrammar. Up next is history which can be a bit dry at times but I find the ancient civilizations we learn about fascinating. At 12 PM, it's finally lunchtime! I heat up the scrumptious meal my dad packed for me in the microwave. Then I head outside to eat with my friends on the picnic tables. We talk and laugh together as we refuel for afternoon classes. My afternoon classes are Chinese, science, and PE. Chinese is pretty tough with all the reading and writing characters we have to do. Science is cool though, especially when we get to do experiments. And PE is a nice way to get some exercise and let out built up energy from sitting in class all day.At 3:30 PM, the final bell rings and school is out for the day! Sometimes I have extracurricular activities like band practice or student council meetings. Other days, I just head straight home. Once I'm back home, I grab a snack and get started on my homework. I work diligently for a couple hours, taking breaks when I need them.Around 6 PM, I'm finished with my homework. Yay! I spend the rest of the evening relaxing. Maybe I'll read a book, watch some TV, or play games with my family. At 8 PM, I start getting ready for bed. I take a shower, put on my pajamas, and get my backpack prepped for tomorrow. Finally, around 9 PM, my head hits the pillow and I'm off to dreamland. And then the cycle begins again the next morning! That's a typical day in the life of me, a 7th grade student. Some days there's a lot of homework, other days there are fun activities. But overall, my daily routine keeps me happy, healthy and engaged. Being a middle schooler can be tough at times, but I'm grateful for my loving family, great friends, and wonderful teachers who support me. Here's to many more days of learning and growing!篇2My Summer Vacation Adventures!Yay, it's finally summer vacation! No more waking up super early and rushing to school. No more homework or tests for a whole two months! I'm so excited to just relax, play games, and have fun all day.The first few days of vacation were pretty chill. I slept in until noon, played video games, watched cartoons, and didn't have to do any chores. It was awesome! But after a week, I started to get a little bored just sitting around the house. That's when my parents said we were going on a trip! We packed our suitcases and hit the road. Our first stop was to visitmy grandparents who live up in the mountains. The drive there took forever and my little brother kept asking "Are we there yet?" like a million times. Mom and dad must have been so annoyed! When we finally arrived, grandma and grandpa were waiting with big hugs and fresh-baked cookies. Their house is so cool - it's a big log cabin surrounded by tall trees and hiking trails. We played outside every day building forts, exploring the forest, and looking for animals. One time we even saw a deer up close! Grandpa took us fishing down at the lake and I actually caught a huge trout. Grandma cooked it up for dinner and it was delicious. After a week at the grandparents, we had to leave for our next adventure. This time we headed to the beach! The car ride wasn't as long, but it still felt like it took years because I was so excited. When we finally got there, the first thing I did was run straight into the ocean. The water was freezing but I didn't even care.We built the most epic sand castle, complete with a moat, towers, and tunnels. My brother and I had a jumping contest to see who could get the biggest splash. I was winning until he accidentally kicked a bunch of sand in my face - not cool! That'swhen I decided to bury him up to his neck in the sand. We both laughed so hard.At night, we had bonfires and roasted marshmallows on the beach. The flames would crackle and the smoke would blow in our faces, but it smelled kinda good. Once it got really dark, we could see millions of stars lighting up the sky. We tried pointing out constellations that we learned about in school. My dad told us crazy stories about when he was a kid and all the fun he had at the beach with his family. After two weeks of beach time, we had to start driving back home. I didn't want to leave! I loved playing in the ocean, tanning in the sun, and making sand sculptures. On the drive, my mom suggested we stop somewhere fun along the way to break up the trip. That's when we stumbled across this awesome adventure park! It had a huge playground, rock climbing walls, a zip line, obstacle courses, and even a section to do archery and learn survival skills. We spent two days here running around and doing all the activities. I completely tired myself out playfighting my dad and trying to hit the archery targets. Finally, we made it back home. I was exhausted but so happy after our awesome summer adventures. Even though vacation isover and I have to go back to school soon, I'm glad I have all these fun memories to look back on. This was definitely one of the best summers ever!篇3My Summer Vacation!Hey there! My name is Lily and I'm a 7th grader. I just had the best summer vacation ever and I can't wait to tell you all about it!It all started on the last day of school. The bell rang and we were finally free for two whole months! No more teachers, no more books, no more sitting at my desk all day. Just sun, fun, and lots of adventures waiting for me. My parents had promised we would go on a big vacation this year to somewhere really cool. I was so excited to find out where we were going!A few days later, my mom and dad called me and my little brother Tommy into the living room. They had this big goofy grin on their faces like they were up to something. "Who wants to go to...DISNEY WORLD?" they shouted. Tommy and I just started screaming and jumping up and down! We had been dreaming of going to Disney forever. The happiest place on Earth? Sign me up!We started planning right away. We looked at all the rides, the restaurants, the shows. I keptmaking lists of everything I wanted to do and see - like riding Space Mountain, watching the fireworks show, and meeting Mickey Mouse himself! In my mind, I just pictured two perfect weeks of pure magic. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the day arrived. We hopped on a plane and were Florida-bound! I had never been on an airplane before so I was a little nervous. But it was also super cool being up so high and seeing everything look so tiny below. When we landed and stepped outside, it was like getting hit with a wall of heat and humidity. "Whew, it's hot!" my dad said while fanning himself. But I didn't mind at all. The warm weather just made it feel even more like篇4Unit 2 - My Summer VacationYay! Summer vacation was finally here! No more getting up early for school. No more homework or tests. Just three amazing months to relax, play, and have fun!The first week of vacation, my family went on a road trip. We drove up north to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins. The drivetook forever - I think we were in the car for like a million hours! But it was cool seeing all the different landscapes out the window. First there were the tall buildings and busy streets of the city. Then we went through areas with farms and cows and stuff. After that came the mountains which seemed to go on forever. When we got to my aunt and uncle's place, my cousins Adam and Emma were waiting for us. Adam is 10 and Emma is 8, so we're all pretty close in age. As soon as we arrived, we ran outside to play hide and seek in their huge backyard. Later that night, we had a big barbecue with hamburgers, hot dogs, and s'mores for dessert. So yummy! We spent the next few days just hanging out together. Adam and I built an epic fort out of branches, leaves, and blankets. Emma liked making those hippy beaded necklaces and bracelets. We played video games, watched movies, and Uncle Bob even took us fishing one day down at the lake. I didn't catch anything, but Adam pulled in a huge bass! After a week of vacation fun, we had to leave and drive back home. I was really sad to go. Adam, Emma, and I exchanged Snapchat info so we could keep in touch over the summer. The ride home felt even longer than the ride up. My legs were so cramped from sitting too long. By the time we got back to thecity, I was greatlooking forward to just relaxing at home for a while. The next few weeks, I spent most summer days basically like this: I'd sleep in until 10 or 11am. Then I'd laze around in my pajamas, watching TV and snacking pretty much all morning. After lunch, I'd lace up my roller blades or grab my skateboard and head to the park to skate with my neighborhood friends. There was a decent skatepark in the park with all sorts of ramps, rails, and bowls to skate on. Xavier was by far the best skater out of all us kids, pulling off crazy tricks daily. He could drop in from high ramps, grind along rails, kickflip off ledges - you name it, he could do it! The rest of us were still learning, so we'd wipe out and get scraped up a lot. But it was still super fun.In the evenings, we'd return home sweaty and exhausted from skating. I'd hop in the shower, then mozy on over to my buddy Simon's place. We'd log into whatever video game we were obsessed with at the moment. Sometimes we'd join up with our other friends online too and play multiplayer matches against rivals from all over the world.Simon's mom would usually order us a couple pizzas around 8pm for dinner, then we'd keep gaming until my mom texted me to come home for the night around 11pm. I'd trudge home, golay in bed, and pretty much pass out immediately. That was my normal routine for like two straight months - sleep, skate, game, repeat! It was the life.Eventually though, summer started winding down. There were only a couple weeks of vacation left. My parents thought I needed some more "enrichment" before school started again. So my dad signed me up for a two-week coding camp downtown. At first, I totally didn't want to go. What was the point of wasting my final days of freedom learning to code robots and junk? I'd way rather be skating and gaming! But after complaining for a while, my parents convinced me that coding was an important skill for my future. So finally I agreed to go, albeit very reluctantly.Well, I'm sure glad they made me do that coding camp because it ended up being a blast! We learned several different programming languages like Python, Java, and C++. Each day, we'd work through different coding challenges and projects, everything from creating simple games to making web apps.My camp counselor, Tyler, was this really smart but totally chill college kid who helped explain all the coding concepts in an easy-to-understand way. By the end of the two weeks, I'dbecome pretty decent at coding and even created a few cool programs I was really proud of.On our final day of camp, we had a demo night where all the students presented their best coding projects to our parents. My project was a web app that synthesized trippy visual effects based on uploading different music tracks. It turned out super rad, if I do say so myself! I couldn't wait to keep practicing my coding skills at home. Before I knew it, summer vacation was over. My friends were all posting back-to-school pictures on Instagram. Part of me was bummed that the freedom of summer had come to an end. But another part of me was저금excited to get back to actually learning new things again.I'd had an amazing summer full of adventures, fun with friends and family, and even picked up some valuable new skills. As I buckled up my backpack on that first day of 7th grade, I felt refreshed and ready to tackle a new year of academics. Bring it on!篇5My Favorite Sport - BadmintonHi friends! Today I want to tell you all about my very favorite sport - badminton! I just love badminton so much. It's the best sport ever in my opinion. Let me explain why I like it so much.First of all, badminton is a really fun game to play. Unlike some other sports that can be kind of boring sometimes, badminton always keeps you moving and engaged. You have to be alert and ready to react at all times when playing badminton because that little birdie can come flying at you from any direction! It makes the game really exciting.Another reason I love badminton is because it's not too physically demanding compared to some other sports. Don't get me wrong, you definitely work up a sweat when rallying back and forth. But it's not as rough or dangerous as football or basketball where you can get hurt easily. With badminton, as long as you have decent hand-eye coordination, you can play without too much risk of injury. The equipment for badminton is also super portable and convenient. All you need is a lightweight racket, a shuttlecock (the birdie), and a net. You can easily set up a quick game in your backyard or at the park. That's way easier than having to go to a big field or court like many sports require. My friends and I oftenbring our badminton sets to the park and get in a couple fun matches. And speaking of friends, badminton is an awesome social activity. It's just really fun to play badminton together with your buddies, talking and laughing between points. You can play doubles and make it a team game for even more bonding. Or you can have a rotation where you sub in new players after each game so everyone gets a turn. Badminton helps bring people together.I also appreciate that badminton is a sport that both guys and girls can enjoy equally. Some other sports seem to be dominated more by one gender or the other. But with badminton, I see just as many guys as girls playing it recreationally. The skills required like ag篇6My Summer Vacation AdventureHi there! I'm going to tell you all about the super awesome adventure I had this summer vacation. It was the best summer ever and I had so much fun! I can't wait to share everything that happened. Get ready for an exciting story! It all started when my parents told me and my little brother that we were going on a big trip. They didn't say where at first, they just said to pack our bags and get ready for an adventure. We were so curious about where we could possibly be going! Finally, after we pestered them about it for days, they revealed that we were going camping in the mountains. My brother and I had never been camping before, so we were really excited but also a little nervous. What if we saw a bear? What if it rained the whole time? What if the camping food was totally gross? We had so many questions running through our minds. But my parents assured us that it would be an amazing experience. The drive to the campsite took forever. My brother and I kept asking "Are we there yet?" every five minutes until my parents finally said "Yes, we're here!" When we got out of the car, the fresh mountain air hit our faces and we could see the beautiful, towering peaks all around us. It was breathtaking. After we set up our tent, my dad showed us how to build a campfire. We gathered sticks and logs and he lit a match. Watching the flames crackle and glow was mesmerizing. That night we roasted marshmallows and my mom made us delicious campfire stew. Despite our worries about the food, it was actuallyincredibly tasty. With our bellies full, we gazed up at the starry night sky before crawling into our sleeping bags in the tent. The next morning, we woke up to the chirping of birds. My parents had a big breakfast of eggs, sausages, and pancakes cooking over the fire already. After we fueled up on food, we went for a hike on one of the trails in the mountains. The scenery was just stunning - streams, wildflowers, huge rocks, and glimpses of wildlife like squirrels and deer. We stopped for a picnic lunch by a waterfall, dipping our toes in the icy water. On the way back to our campsite, the skies opened up and it started pouring rain. We were totally drenched by the time we got back! Luckily our tent was waterproof and we had dry clothes to change into. We spent the rest of the rainy afternoon reading books and playing card games in the tent. Even though we were stuck inside, it was really cozy listening to the pitter-patter of the raindrops. The rest of the week was filled with more great activities like fishing in a lake, learning outdoor survival skills, and telling spooky stories around the campfire at night. We even got to go horseback riding one day which was a first for me and my brother. As fun as all of those things were, my favorite part wasjust being surrounded by nature and away from all the hustle and bustle of the city.On our last night, we made s'mores for dessert as we watched the sunset over the mountains. The sky turned brilliant shades of orange, pink, and purple before fading into darkness. I felt so peaceful and happy in that moment, like all my worries had melted away. When it was time to leave and head back home, I was sad for our trip to end but so grateful for the incredible memories we made. My brother and I haven't stopped talking about our camping adventures since we got back. We're already bugging our parents about where we can go next year!If you've never gone camping before, I really really REALLY recommend giving it a try. Yes, you might get a little dirty and there are some challenging parts, but the fun and beautiful sights make up for it a million times over. Just make sure to pack lots of bug spray, bring a deck of cards for the rainy days, and get ready for an experience you'll never forget. I'm counting down the days until my next outdoor adventure!。

人民教育社七下英语练习册2单元作文题目
人民教育社七下英语练习册2单元作文题目全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Favorite PetI have a pet dog named Buddy that I absolutely love! He is a golden retriever and just turned 5 years old last month. I've had Buddy since I was 6 years old when my parents brought him home as a puppy. Having a pet dog has been one of the best experiences of my life so far.Buddy has beautiful golden fur that is so soft and smooth. His eyes are a warm brown color that always look so kind and loving. He has a very cute black nose and the fluffiest tail that wags nonstop when he's excited or happy. Buddy is a pretty big dog, but not too huge. He's the perfect size for me to play with, pet, and even give him hugs.My favorite thing about Buddy is how friendly, loyal, and loving he is. Whenever I come home from school, he comes running up to greet me, jumping up and down wagging his tail. He always wants to lick my face to say hello! Buddy follows me around everywhere I go in the house and lies down right next tome. He loves giving kisses and snuggling up close. If I'm ever feeling sad or upset, Buddy can always sense it and will come nudge me for cuddles and cheers me right up. He's the most caring, affectionate dog.Buddy is also really smart and well-behaved. He knows lots of tricks like sit, stay, shake, roll over, and even how to spin in a circle! We worked really hard on training him when he was a puppy. Now he always listens to commands and barely ever has accidents in the house. Buddy is also an awesome protector and guard dog who barks and lets us know if any strangers come near our home. He makes me feel very safe.My favorite activity to do with Buddy is definitely playing fetch outside. He goes absolutely crazy chasing after balls, frisbees, or sticks and brings them right back to me to throw again. We can play fetch for hours and Buddy will just keep on running and catching with his boundless energy. Other times I like to take Buddy on walks around the neighborhood. He loves exploring and sniffing all the new smells. During the summer, we'll even go swimming together in the lake by my house. Buddy is an excellent swimmer and loves paddling through the cool water.Sometimes Buddy can be a little naughty though. As a puppy, he used to chew on everything - shoes, furniture, toys, you name it! He put a lot of holes in some of my parents'nice things. Buddy would also bark incessantly at anything that moved outside like birds, squirrels, or cars driving by. It used to drive my parents crazy! And whenever we gave Buddy a bath, he would shake his whole body to get us soaking wet with his wet fur. There were times he knocked me right over from his strong shaking. As Buddy has gotten older though, he has outgrown a lot of those bad puppy habits.I honestly don't know what I would do without Buddy. He brings me so much joy, companionship, and unconditional love every single day. Having a dog has taught me so many important life lessons about responsibility, patience, and caring for another living being. Dogs really are a human's best friend! I am so grateful to have Buddy as my pet and special buddy. He will always hold a very special place in my heart. I hope I get to have many more wonderful years filled with fun adventures and happy memories with my sweet Buddy.篇2My Best FriendI have a best friend named Li Ming. We've known each other since we were babies because our moms are best friends too. Li Ming is the same age as me and we're in the same class at school.Li Ming is really fun to be around. He's always laughing and making jokes. Sometimes he gets us in trouble for goofing around too much, but I don't mind because I have a good time with him. We like to play basketball and video games together after school. One of my favorite things about Li Ming is that he's a really good student. He gets good grades without even trying that hard. I have to study a lot more than him. Whenever I don't understand something, he helps me. He's really patient and explains things in a way that makes sense to me. I'm lucky he's my friend because he makes school a lot easier.Li Ming is also really good at art class. He can draw anything - animals, cartoons, you name it. Once he even entered an art contest and won second place! I'm not very good at drawing, so I'm impressed by his talent. He says he wants to be an artist when he grows up.Although we're best friends, Li Ming and I do argue sometimes. We mostly argue about silly things like what movieto watch or where to go for dinner with our families. But we always make up quickly because our friendship is more important than the argument. One time we had a bigger argument though. It was during PE class last year when we were playing soccer. Li Ming and I were on opposite teams. We were both really competitive and going after the ball hard. Then Li Ming slid to try to steal the ball from me and he accidentally kicked my leg really hard. It gave me a huge bruise and I couldn't walk right for a week.I was mad at Li Ming for a while after that because I thought he did it on purpose to try to win the game for his team. I didn't talk to him for almost two weeks. But eventually Li Ming came over to my house and apologized. He felt really bad about hurting me and said he would never do anything to hurt me on purpose because I'm his best friend. I could tell he really meant it, so I forgave him.Another reason why Li Ming is my best friend is that we have so much in common. We both love science and watching documentaries about space and dinosaurs. Our favorite food is pizza. We're both afraid of the dark. And we both really want to learn English well.Speaking of English, that's another way Li Ming helps me as a friend. Since he's so good at it, he helps me practice my English. We like to look at picture books written in English and practice reading the stories out loud. Then we quiz each other on vocabulary words. Studying together makes it fun instead of feeling like work.Li Ming always cheers me up when I'm feeling sad or upset about something. Like one time, I failed a math test I studied really hard for. I was so disappointed in myself. But Li Ming came over after school and we played video games together for hours. He kept making me laugh with his silly jokes and dancing around. By the end of the day, I had forgotten all about the bad test grade. One of my favorite memories with Li Ming is when we went camping with our families last summer. We spent all day hiking, canoeing on the lake, and roasting marshmallows by the campfire. At night we slept in a tent together and stayed up late telling scary stories. I was a little scared sleeping in the wilderness, but having Li Ming there made me feel safer.Li Ming has also been really supportive of me joining the school basketball team this year. Every day after practice, he'll ask me how it went and if I'm getting any better at shooting freethrows. Then he'll grab a ball and help me work on my skills. With his encouragement, I've already improved a lot.Looking to the future, I hope Li Ming and I can stay best friends forever. We're planning to go to the same junior high school and high school so we don't have to be separated. And who knows, maybe we'll even go to the same university one day!I know having a best friend like Li Ming is really special. We've been through good times and bad times together already, but our friendship has only grown stronger. He means so much to me. I don't know what I would do without my goofy, smart, talented best friend by my side. I feel really lucky to have Li Ming in my life.篇3My Favorite HobbyHi everyone! My name is Li Ming and I'm 12 years old. I'm in the 6th grade at Sunshine Elementary School. Today I want to tell you all about my favorite hobby - playing basketball!Ever since I was a little kid, I've loved playing with balls of all kinds. I would kick them, throw them, bounce them - you name it! But when I was about 7 years old, my dad took me to watch aprofessional basketball game for the first time. As soon as I saw those tall players running up and down the court, dribbling the bright orange ball and making those incredible shots, I was hooked! After the game, my dad bought me my very first basketball. It was a little smaller than a regulation size since I was still pretty small back then. But I didn't care - I loved that ball! I would dribble it around the house, driving my mom crazy. I practiced shooting at our little hoop in the backyard for hours every day after school. Sometimes the neighbors would come out and play horse or a quick game of 21 with me.When I turned 8, my parents signed me up for the local youth basketball league. I was so excited to finally play on a real team! Our team was called the Scorpions and our colors were black and neon green. I thought we looked so cool in our uniforms. At first, I was really nervous during the games. My hands would get all sweaty and I would miss easy shots or lose control of the ball. But my coaches were really encouraging. They taught me ways to stay calm and focused. Slowly but surely, my skills improved and I gained more confidence on the court. That first season, we didn't win very many games. But it didn't matter - I had so much fun just being out there playing the game I loved with my new friends. We would all go for pizza or ice cream after our games, winor lose. Those are some of my best memories from that time. The next year, our team got better and better. We had pretty good seasons over the next few years as we all improved our skills through practice. By the time I was 11, we even made it to the league championship game! Unfortunately, we ended up losing by just a couple of points in a nail-biter of a game. I cried a little afterwards because I was so disappointed. But my parents reminded me how far we had come and how proud they were of our whole team's effort. Now as a 6th grader, basketball is a huge part of my life. I'm on the school team and we practice almost every day before or after classes. I've also joined a more competitive travel team that plays tournaments around the region on weekends. Between school, homework, practices and games, my schedule is pretty packed! But I wouldn't have it any other way.To me, playing basketball isn't just a hobby - it's a real passion. I love the fast pace, the strategy, the teamwork, and that amazing feeling when you nail a three-pointer or dish out theperfect assist. Win or lose, being out on that court with my teammates, working hard toward a common goal, is one of the most rewarding experiences. But in my opinion, the life lessons I've learned from basketball - teamwork, perseverance, handling adversity - have been just as valuable as the actual game itself. Basketball has taught me discipline, built my confidence, and helped me make amazing friends that I'll have for life. It's an important healthy outlet for me to relieve stress and have fun too.So while academics are certainly important, I really cherish the experiences I've had through my favorite hobby of basketball.I feel very fortunate that my parents enrolled me in that first youth league all those years ago. I can't imagine my life without this great game that I've come to love so dearly.Who knows, maybe I'll even make it to the pro leagues one day! But for now, I'm just focused on working hard, being a team player, and savoring every minute I get to spend on the court. Basketball has shaped me into the person I am today and I'll always be grateful for that. Thanks for reading about my favorite hobby. I'd better go lace up my high-tops for practice now. A life-long basketball journey awaits!篇4My Awesome Summer VacationWow, where do I even begin? This summer was absolutely amazing and I have so much to tell you about all the fun things I did! I'm just a kid, but my parents always make sure my summer breaks are packed with exciting activities and adventures. This year was no exception – in fact, it might have been the best summer ever!It all started right after school let out in June. My family and I went on an epic road trip! We packed up our trusty minivan and hit the road, driving all the way from our home in Beijing to the gorgeous coastal city of Qingdao. The drive took forever, or at least it felt like it to me as a restless kid stuck in the backseat. But my parents made it more bearable by letting me pick the music and snacks. We blasted pop songs, snacked on chips and candies, and played tons of road trip games like I Spy and 20 Questions.Once we arrived in Qingdao, the real fun began! We stayed at this really cool hotel right on the beach. Every morning, I would wake up, pull open the curtains, and be greeted by a breathtaking view of the sparkling ocean. We spent our days swimming, building sandcastles, collecting seashells, and justgenerally soaking up the sun. The beach was my favorite part –the sand was so soft and warm between my toes. I loved running along the shoreline, letting the waves chase me back and forth. We even went banana boat riding a few times, which was both terrifying and thrilling! But the beach wasn't the only awesome thing about Qingdao. We also explored the city itself, which had a really unique blend of Chinese and European architecture left over from when it was occupied by Germany in the late 1800s. We wandered through winding alleyways lined with quaint old buildings, stopped in cute cafes for snacks and drinks, and visited famous sites like the Qingdao Huashi Catholic Church and Badaguan Scenic Area. I felt like I had stepped back in time to another era! After a week or so, we packed up again and made our way to our next destination – Jinan, the capital of Shandong province. In Jinan, we visited Daming Lake, an enormous man-made lake surrounded by gardens, temples, and historic sites. We took a little boat tour around part of the lake, which was peaceful and scenic. My favorite part was getting to feed the fish, ducks, and swans that call the lake home. We also hiked up Thousand Buddha Mountain, which gets its name from the thousands ofBuddha statues that have been carved into the mountain's cliffs over the centuries. It was equal parts tiring and amazing! From Jinan, we drove to the city of Qufu, the hometown and birthplace of the ancient Chinese philosopher Confucius. We toured the Confucius Temple and Mansion, which is an incredible complex of historic buildings and gardens that felt like stepping into the past. There were dozens of buildings with bright yellow glazed tiles, beautiful calligraphy etchings, and ancient artifacts like pottery and jade carvings. I could hardly believe places that old and culturally significant still existed! We even got to watch a traditional Confucian ritual performance with people dressed in ornate costumes. After Shandong province, we made one last stop in Zhengzhou in the neighboring Henan province. There, we visited the Shaolin Temple, which is famous for being the birthplace of Zen Buddhism and Shaolin kung fu. It was so cool touring the ancient temple grounds, watching kung fu performances, and even taking a beginner's kung fu class myself! The monks were incredibly talented and disciplined. I tried my best to learn a few basic punches and kicks, but I have a long way to go before becoming a master. All too soon, our epic summer road trip came to an end and it was time to return home to Beijing. I was exhausted from all the traveling and activities, but absolutely elated. This had been one of the most fun, educational, and memorable summers of my life so far. I got to experience so many different cities, historical sites, cultural traditions, and exciting adventures. From the beach to the temples, there was never a dull moment! My parents have already started hinting about potential summer plans for next year, like maybe going to some of China's national parks or even traveling abroad. Wherever we go, I know it will be an incredible experience that I'll never forget. Summer breaks are the absolute best when you get to spend them making amazing memories with your family. I just hope next summer's adventures can top the incredible fun I had this year!篇5My Favorite AnimalDo you have a favorite animal? I do! It's the panda bear. I just love those cuddly, black and white creatures. Pandas are so cute and fluffy, and they always look like they're smiling. Whenever I see pictures or videos of pandas, I can't help but smile too!Pandas are really cool animals. They are bears, but they don't act like other bears at all. Instead of being fierce and scary, pandas are gentle and peaceful. They spend most of their day just eating bamboo and lounging around. How relaxing does that sound? I wish I could be a panda for a day and just munch on bamboo all day long without a care in the world!Even though pandas look really cuddly, we can't actually keep them as pets. They are wild animals, and they need to live in their natural habitat – the bamboo forests of China. Pandas are an endangered species, which means there aren't very many of them left in the world. It's really important that we protect pandas and their homes so they don't become extinct. One of the biggest threats to pandas is habitat loss. As more and more forests are cut down for things like farms, roads, and buildings, pandas lose the bamboo they need to survive. Without their main food source, pandas can't live. It's so sad to think about pandas going hungry or having nowhere to make their dens. We need to do a better job of preserving the bamboo forests so pandas have a safe place to call home.Another threat to pandas is a low birth rate. Female pandas are only able to get pregnant for a few days each year, and they usually only have one baby at a time. Baby pandas, called cubs, are very small and fragile when they are first born. It takes a lot of time and care for panda moms to raise their cubs to become healthy adults. With so few panda babies being born, it's hard for their population to grow.Luckily, there are lots of people and organizations working hard to protect pandas. There are panda reserves and breeding centers in China where pandas are safe from habitat loss and cared for by experts. At these reserves, pandas are encouraged to breed so more panda cubs can be born. The baby pandas are hand-raised until they are strong enough to survive on their own in the wild.I think it's really cool that there are people dedicating their lives to saving pandas. If I could have any job when I grow up, I would want to be a panda caretaker at one of the reserves. Can you imagine how amazing it would be to work with those gentle giants every day? I could feed them bamboo, help take care of the cubs, and make sure the pandas have everything they need to be healthy and happy. What a dream job!Maybe someday pandas won't be endangered anymore thanks to the hard work of the reserves and scientists studying them. Wouldn't it be wonderful if there were so many pandas that we didn't have to worry about protecting them? They couldlive peacefully in their bamboo forests without any threats. Just picturing a whole forest full of pandas munching on bamboo and raising their cute panda babies makes me feel so happy and calm inside. While pandas are my absolute favorite animal, there are so many other amazing animals out there that I love too. I feel so lucky to live in a world with such an incredible variety of animals. From the tallest giraffes to the most colorful fish, every animal is unique and special in its own way. I never get tired of learning about different animals and the incredible things that make each species cool and important.Animals make the world such an interesting and beautiful place. I hope that when I grow up, I can work to protect endangered animals like pandas so they never disappear from our planet. Animals deserve to have safe homes where they can live without being threatened by humans. They make our world better just by existing, and I want to make sure they can keep on existing for many, many years to come.So those are just some of the reasons why I love pandas so much. They are the cutest, most lovable, most huggable animals ever! Pandas make me篇6My Favorite SportHi there! My name is Li Ming and I'm a 7th grader at Sunshine Middle School. For the essay assignment in our English workbook, I've been asked to write about my favorite sport. Well, that's an easy one for me - my absolute favorite sport is basketball!I've loved basketball for as long as I can remember. When I was just a little kid, maybe 5 or 6 years old, my dad got me a small plastic basketball hoop that we set up in our living room. I would spend hours dribbling the ball around and shooting over and over again at that little hoop. Even when I missed the shot, which was pretty often back then, I just loved the feeling of the ball bouncing off the floor and back up into my hands. As I got a bit older, my parents started taking me to the neighborhood basketball court on weekends. That's when basketball really became my obsession! I'd practice my dribbling skills, shooting from different spots on the court, and just generally fell in love with the fast-paced nature of the game. There was nothing quite like the thrill of sprinting down the court, faking out a defender with a slick crossover dribble, and thenpulling up for a jumpshot. Swish! The feeling when the ball went perfectly through the net was indescribable. When I reached 3rd grade, I was finally old enough to join my school's basketball team. That first year on the team was a bit rough - I was one of the smallest and most inexperienced players. But I worked incredibly hard, stayed after practice for some extra shooting drills, and by the end of that first season I had really improved my game. The following year in 4th grade, I was a starter on the team and one of our top scorers! My hard work and dedication had paid off.Basketball isn't just a game to me, it's a way of life. I love everything about it - the discipline and skills require。
