attitudes and motivation.giving advice.the Subjunctive Mood(Ⅰ).a personal essay.Ⅲ.Background InformationThe Way to Learn EnglishNow,have you all got your dictionaries?Yes?Well, pick them up and put them in the waste paper ,the wastepaper basket. That’s how an American professor at one of China’s leading universities used to start her English reading she got excellent results. The greatest harm done to students of English in China is Intensive not really reading at ’s teaches students not to read but to use dictionaries and grammar teaches very bad study habits which are hard to does more harm than good.Chinese students read too students of my class could read only about 150 words a minute at the beginning of the the minimum requiement for an undergraduate college student is to read 300 words a minute. They may know every single word in a passage of English, but not grasp the meaning of the passage as a you read fast, you understand you read too slowly,by the time you’ve reached the end of a page, you’ve forgotten what the beginning is reading makes you concentrate on Reading makes you see the trees but not the wood.Through . you may learn a little vocabulary but you won’t gain much ExtensiveReading you can learn a lot of vocabulary and gain a lot of information. What if you come across new words?Don’t look them up in the their meaning from the may not guess quite right the first time;but as new words come up again and again in different contexts their meaning becomes clearer and they don’t come up often, there’s no hurry about learning ’re probably not must get into the habit of guessing don’t guess with the help of your knowledge of students know plenty of too above all, guess from the ’s the way to build up your vocabulary—not poring over dictionaries or making lists of words and memorizing them out of you look up every new word, you’ll never finish a on your brain, not your dictionary.Perhaps in China today a little . may be ?Partly because for the moment we haven’t enough Extensive Reading because many of the books we have are hidden away on library shelves, gathering dust, instead of being brought out into the light of day where the students can get 300 years ,the author of“Gulliver’s Travels”,wrote a work called“The Battle of the Books”.What we need today is a “Liberation War of the Books”,to liberate the books from the library also need more simplified books;and more unsimplified books originally written in simple doesn’t mean that the content should be ’s no good giving children’s books to grown-up our schools and educational departments need to assign a large staff to writing and simplifying books for Extensive Reading suited to different age levels and language might be best to have native speakers of English take part in this work and be hard to avoid ,if . is allowed to exist,it should be cut down on size, put in its place, kept under should not take up much of the students’or the teachers’certainly should not be allowed such an unfair share of the timetable as it has now.Much talk by the teacher and little practice by the student is no way to teach only teaches about that is dangerous, for merely learning about language gives the student a false gives him the feeling that he knows the language when he doesn’without using is not knowing it at ’s deceiving oneself(but it doesn’t deceive others). In fact it’s very good to be able to appreciate good fact this appreciation of other people’s style helps one to achieve good style oneself—but only after one has experience of using the language—not just hearing a teacher explain otherwords what is needed to the first two years of language study,is not hours of so-called Intensive Reading, but hours and hours of something else:Oral or Written more of that, the Reading as it is generally taught is not a practice course;it is a lecture nobody ever learnt a foreign language by listening to lectures on grammar and vocabulary.Ⅳ.Teaching Time:Four PeriodsThe First 初一上册英语一到八单元作文范文

初一上册英语一到八单元作文范文全文共6篇示例,供读者参考篇1Hi there! My name is Emma, and I'm a student in the first year of junior high school. Today, I want to share with you some of the things I've learned in my English class this year. Let's get started!Unit 1: About MyselfI'm 12 years old, and I live in a small town with my parents and my younger brother, Jack. We live in a cozy house with a big backyard, where my brother and I like to play catch and run around. My favorite subjects in school are English and art because I love learning new words and expressing myself through drawing and painting.Unit 2: My FamilyMy family is the most important thing in the world to me. My dad is a teacher, and my mom works as a nurse. They're both hardworking and always encourage me to do my best in school. My little brother, Jack, is 9 years old, and he can be a real painsometimes, but I love him anyway. We have a lot of fun playing together, even though we often end up fighting over silly things.Unit 3: My School LifeI go to Greenfield Middle School, which is just a short walk from my house. My best friends are Sarah and Tom, and we've known each other since kindergarten. We love hanging out together during recess and after school. My favorite class is English because I find it fascinating to learn about different cultures and ways of life.Unit 4: My HobbiesIn my free time, I love reading books, especially adventure and mystery stories. I also enjoy drawing and painting, and I often create artworks inspired by the books I read. Another hobby of mine is playing the piano. I've been taking lessons for four years now, and I really enjoy practicing and learning new pieces.Unit 5: My Daily RoutineMy typical day starts with me waking up around 7 AM. I get ready for school, have breakfast with my family, and then walk to school with my friends. After school, I usually have a snack and start on my homework. Module8Unit3(教案)-2022-2023学年八年级下册英语(外研版)

This essay aims to shed light on her typical school day and the professional lives of her parents.Sarah's day begins early, around 6:30 am, when thefirst rays of sunlight peep into her cozy room. She starts her day with a healthy breakfast, prepared lovingly by her mother, who is a skilled dietician. Mrs. Williams, a firm believer in the power of nutrition, ensures that Sarah's meals are not just appetizing but also nutritious. While Sarah gulps down her breakfast, her father, Mr. Williams, a renowned architect, is already engrossed in reviewing project blueprints and responding to emails. His dedication to his work is as inspiring as his designs are awe-inspiring.After bidding farewell to her parents, Sarah embarks on her daily journey to school. The 15-minute bus ride givesher time to read, often delving into the magical world of Harry Potter or the adventures of Nancy Drew. 四年级上册一到八单元的单词英语全文共3篇示例,供读者参考篇1My Journey Through the World of WordsAs a fourth grader, the world of words has been an exciting adventure this year. Our textbook has taken us on a journey through different themes, and with each new unit, I've added more words to my vocabulary. Let me share some of the highlights with you!In Unit 1, we explored the theme of "School Days." I learned words like "backpack," "pencil case," and "ruler." It was fun to talk about the objects we use daily in the classroom. But then we moved on to Unit 2, "My Body," and things got a bit more challenging. Words like "elbow," "ankle," and "wrist" were new to me, but I practiced saying them until I could label all the body parts correctly.Unit 3 was called "My Family," and I enjoyed learning words related to different family members, such as "uncle," "cousin," and "grandparents." It made me appreciate the people who care for me even more. Unit 4, "My Neighborhood," introduced me towords like "pharmacy," "library," and "supermarket" – places I see all the time in my community. Then came Unit 5, "Animals," which was my favorite! I had a blast learning the names of different creatures, from "tiger" and "elephant" to "snake" and "butterfly." Whenever I see animals now, I can proudly say their names in English.Unit 6, "Weather and Seasons," taught me words like "sunny," "cloudy," "rainy," and the names of the four seasons. It's amazing how much more I notice the changes in the weather now that I have the words to describe them.In Unit 7, "Food and Drinks," I discovered a whole new world of delicious vocabulary. From "pizza" and "ice cream" to "milk" and "juice," I can now talk about my favorite foods and drinks with ease. Finally, Unit 8, "Colors and Shapes," introduced me to words like "circle," "square," "red," and "green." It's incredible how learning these simple words has made me more observant of the shapes and colors around me.As I look back on these eight units, I realize how much my vocabulary has grown. Words that were once unfamiliar have become a part of my everyday language. I can express myselfbetter, understand more, and even help my friends when they struggle with certain words.Learning new words hasn't always been easy, but it's been a rewarding journey. Sometimes, I had to practice saying them repeatedly or use flashcards to memorize their meanings. Other times, I would draw pictures or act out the words to help them stick in my mind. What I've enjoyed most is how these words have opened up new worlds for me. When I read books or watch shows in English, I can comprehend so much more now. And when I travel or meet people from different cultures, I have the vocabulary to communicate with them more effectively. As I continue my education,篇2My Fourth Grade English Vocabulary AdventureHey there!
