Mom is not my maid after reading
In modern society, we often hear the phrase "clothes come to hand, food comes to mouth" to describe children who are too dependent on their parents and lack the ability to take care of themselves. Isn't this a common problem for modern children? Many of us grew up under the careful care of our parents, like flowers in a greenhouse, and have never felt the hardships of life.
Recently, I read a book called "My Mother is Not My Maid". The experience of the protagonist A Zhang in the book deeply touched my heart and gave me a profound feeling. In the story, A Zhang, a fifth-grade boy from Seoul, was forced to temporarily transfer to the countryside because his mother was pregnant and his father worked in Seoul. Without his mother's meticulous care, A Zhang either forgot to bring his homework or forgot to bring paint. As a result, he was punished by the teacher and laughed at by his classmates. The criticism from his cousin made him wake up from his dream: "I don't know if your mother is your maid, but my mother is not." This sentence made A Zhang deeply realize that his mother is not a maid and she cannot always be by his side.
In real life, are our mothers also silently giving for us? At home, whenever we need to check homework or tidy up the room, our mothers always rush to our side to help us solve the problem. However, have we ever realized that all this is not the mother's responsibility, but their deep love and care for us.
By reading A Zhang's story, I understand a truth: mothers are not our servants, they cannot stay with us all our lives. We will eventually face the challenges of life alone, just like an eagle will eventually spread its wings and fly into the vast blue sky. We should learn to be independent from now on, learn to take care of ourselves, and cultivate our self-care ability and sense of responsibility.
Independence is an indispensable quality for everyone to grow up. It not only helps us adapt to society better, but also makes us more confident and strong in life. When we can complete a task independently, the sense of accomplishment and pride cannot be described in words. At the same time, independence can also help us better understand the hard work and dedication of our parents, so that we can cherish their love more.
In the process of developing independence, we can start with small things in daily life. For example, packing our own schoolbags, cleaning our rooms, washing clothes, etc. These seemingly simple things can help us gradually learn how to manage our own lives. In addition, we can also try to solve some problems by ourselves, and don't always rely on our parents for help. When we encounter difficulties, we can think about it ourselves first and find ways to solve the problem. If we really can't solve it, we can ask our parents for help.
Finally, I want to say that mothers are one of the most important people in our lives, and their love is selfless. However, we cannot rely too much on them. While enjoying maternal love, we should learn to be independent and grow up. Let us work together to become an independent and responsible person, and repay our mothers' kindness with practical actions.
