教案一:Unit 1 Friendship
1. Teaching Objectives:
- Enable students to understand and use vocabulary related to friendship.
- Develop students' listening and speaking skills through group discussions and role-play activities.
- Help students improve their reading and writing skills through reading comprehension exercises and writing tasks.
2. Teaching Procedures:
a. Warm-up Activity (5 minutes)
- Show students pictures of friends doing various activities.
- Ask students to discuss with a partner what activities they usually do with their friends.
b. Vocabulary Presentation (10 minutes)
- Introduce key vocabulary words, such as "friendship", "loyalty", "trust", "betrayal", etc.
- Use examples, gestures, and pictures to help students understand the meanings of the words.
- Have students repeat the words and provide synonyms or antonyms for each word.
c. Listening Comprehension (15 minutes)
- Play an audio clip of a conversation between two friends.
- Students listen and answer comprehension questions based on the conversation.
- Check answers as a class.
d. Group Discussion (10 minutes)
- Divide students into small groups and give each group a topic related to friendship.
- Students discuss the topic and share their opinions and experiences.
- Monitor group discussions and provide assistance when needed.
e. Reading Comprehension (15 minutes)
- Distribute a reading passage about the importance of friendship. - Students read the passage silently and answer comprehension questions.
- Check answers as a class.
f. Role-play Activity (10 minutes)
- Divide students into pairs and assign each pair a friendship-related scenario.
- Students role-play the scenario, using the vocabulary words learned earlier.
- Encourage students to use the vocabulary in natural and meaningful ways.
g. Writing Task (15 minutes)
- Ask students to write a short paragraph about the qualities they look for in a friend.
- Provide writing prompts and encourage students to use the vocabulary words in their writing.
- Collect and review students' paragraphs for feedback.
3. Homework:
- Ask students to interview a friend and write a short summary of the interview.
- Encourage students to use the vocabulary words and grammar structures learned in class.
4. Assessment:
- Observe students' participation in group discussions and role-plays.
- Review and assess students' written paragraphs for vocabulary usage and grammar accuracy.
- Provide verbal feedback to students during the class activities.。
