Learning experiences happen to us throughout our lives. Not long ago, I had one that I would like to 1 .
I was going to Marblehead with my sailboat team. The team was racing down the highway at 85 mph 2 we realized we were 3 Luckily, we saw a rest area ahead. I had a brand-new $ 20 bill. I was so 4 because I had never had that kind of cash before. But spending it on 5 seemed like throwing it away. We all rushed into the pizza line. 6 I got a pizza and a drink, and walked to my table. About halfway through the meal, I 7 I had not actually handed my money to the cashier. I had just 8 out, and nobody had noticed.
I felt terrible.
My conscience(良心)opened its mouth and swallowed me in one big bite. I couldn't 9 over it. For the next two years, whenever I was 15 of the “pizza incident”, I would say to myself, “Don't think about it.”
I have learned two things from this 16 . Maybe I was a feel for 17 in to my conscience, and being too stupid to appreciate a 18 pizza. But the real lesson is that even if
you get away from what you have done, your conscience will 19 up with you.
This reflects the saying, “A coward(胆小鬼)dies a thousand deaths, a hero dies one.” I was a coward and have felt terrible about that incident at least a thousand times. If I had been a“ 20 ”and gone back to pay for the pizza, I would have felt a little uncomfortable about it only once, or maybe twice. 1.A.care 2.A.when 3.A.lost

When asked to point out one or two things that are most important to themselves, many put friends ahead of homes, jobs, clothes and cars.
A true friendship carries a long history of experience that determines who we are and keeps us connected. It is a treasure we should protect. Unfortunately, the better friends you are, the more probably you'll have disagreements. And the result can be what you don't want an end to the relationship.
The good news is that most troubled friendships can be mended. First,
don't let your pride get in your way. Most of us can forgive each other when differences are brought out in the open. Second, apologize when you're wrong-even if you’ve been wronged. Over the course of a friendship, e ven the best people make mistakes. Sometimes, it may be best if the wronged person takes the lead and apologizes. When you apologize, give your friend a chance to admit that he has been wrong. Third, see things from your friend' s point of view(观点). And finally, accept that friendships change as our needs and lifestyles(生活方式)change. Making friends can sometimes seem easy. The hard part is keeping the connections strong during the natural ups and downs that have an effect on all relationships. My suggestion: consider friendship an honor and a gift, and worth the effort to treasure and nurture(培养). 1.What would be the best title for the text?

A Working Woman's Dilemma
Dear Doctor,
My husband and I got married in 1990 and for the first ten years of our marriage I was veryhappy to stay home and raise our three children. Then four years ago our youngest child went toschool and I thought I might go back to work.
My husband was very supportive and helped me to make my decision. He emphasized all ofthe things I can do around the house, and said he thought I could be a great success in business. After several weeks of job-hunting, I found my present job, which is working for a smallpublic relations firm. At
fir st, my husband was very proud of me and would tell his friends, “Myclever little wife can run that company she's working for.”
But as his joking remark approached reality, my husband stopped talking to me about myjob. I have received several promotions and pay increases, and I'm now making more money thanhe is. I can buy my own clothes and a new car.
Because of our combined incomes, my husbandand I can do many things that we had always dreamed of doing, but we don't do these thingsbecause he is very unhappy.
We fight about little things and my husband is very critical of me in
front of our friends. Forthe first time in our marriage, I think there is a possibility that our marriage may come to an end.I love my husband very much, and I don't want him to feel inferior, but I also love my job. Ithink I can be a good wife and a working woman, but I don't know how. Can you give me some advice ? Will I have to choose one or the other or can I keep both my husband and my new career?
Please help.
“Distressed”
