“Reading”部分A,阅读一个名为“世界各地的学校”友俱乐部站上的有关英国和美国学校的文章,学习并掌握大量的词汇、短语、有用的表达法;与此同时,了解英美学校的不同,不同国家的文化差异。

词组:in Year 8 ,during the week,in class,a Reading Week , discuss sth with sb , seem to, help new students learn more about the school ,listen carefully to my problems , offer sb. help, do sports together play baseball, every time ,last month
句型:Boys and girls have lessons together.
Among all my subjects, I like French best.
Learning foreign languages is fun.
I often read more books than my classmates.
Time seems to go faster when we are reading interesting books.
On Friday afternoon, our school ends earlier than usual.

Step I Pre-reading(阅读前)
Ask some questions about their school life.
(1)How many lessons do you have every day?
(2)What subjects do you learn?
(3)How often do you have a class meeting?
(4)What clubs do you have?
(5)What after-activities do you have?
(6)Do you have a Reading Week?
(7)Where can you read books?
(8)Do you have a hero? Who is he/she?
教师同时教授新单词:
mixed together magazine senior hero and so on.
Step II While-reading(阅读中)
1讨论问题:What do you think a British/American school would be like?并板书Life in a British school和Life in an American school两个标题。
2 让学生先读问题再带着问题听录音,呈现以下问题:
Who wrote the first article? (Nancy.)
What activity does the school have every year?
(It has a Reading Week every year.)
3阅读课文第一部分,做判断正误练习-
(1) Nancy is in Year 9 at Woodland School, a mixed school. (F)
(2) Nancy likes French best among all her subjects. (T)
Step III While-reading(阅读中)
1让学生带着问题速读课文第二部分Life in an American school,提问:
Who wrote the second article? (John.)
Who else is mentioned in the article? (Tony.)
2让学生再次阅读课文第二部分,回答下列问题-
Step IV Practice(操练)
1让学生朗读整篇课文,在熟悉全篇的基础上,完成B3部分的练习,全班核对答案:Please read two articles again, and then finish Exercise B3 on page 22.
2学生跟随录音朗读课文,注意模仿。
3完成Nancy和John的一列表格,接受任何合理的, 与课文内容相符的答案。
Step V Activity(活动)
1让学生先在6人组内准备,一人扮演Nancy或John,另一人扮演记者,鼓励记者想出尽可能多的问题以了解Nancy或John的学校生活,鼓励Nancy或John 尽可能详细地回答。
2教师可以先与一位学生进行示范,随后选不同层次的几组学生表演,并给予评价和表扬。

本节课是篇章阅读课,一定要在做好阅读练习的同时,引导学生复述课文这一环节也非常重要,它可以训练学生阅读的能力并在此基础上提高听说的技能,同时巩固学生对文章的理解,其次对所学的英语知识是个复习巩固的过程,能够确保学生更好地掌握本节课的内容,由于这节阅读课的内容较多,教师可以酌情将授课时间安排进行适当调整。
