My Dream to Join the China Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team
Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I'm in 5th grade at Sunny Valley Elementary School in Beijing. I have a big dream that I hope comes true one day. My dream is to join the China Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team!
The China Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team is a group of people who travel all around China to investigate strange events, spooky places, and puzzling phenomena that no one can explain. How cool is that? Every adventure they go on is like something out of one of those mystery novels or TV shows I love. Except it's all totally real!
Just last year, the team went to an abandoned village in the mountains of Sichuan province. According to the rumors, anyone who spends the night in the village will hear ghostly whispers and see shadowy figures lurking around. Of course, the brave members of the mysteries team weren't scared off by those kinds
of silly stories. They set up cameras and special equipment everywhere, then stayed overnight to see if the tales were true.
And you'll never guess what happened...they really did capture proof of something bizarre! Their audio recorders picked up faint whispery voices even though there was no one else around for miles. And one of the night vision cameras filmed a dark, human-shaped shadow quickly darting behind a crumbling building before vanishing into thin air. Spooky stuff!
That's just one example of the amazing mysteries this team investigates. In the past, they've also looked into huge, unexplained patterns carved into the desert fields of Inner Mongolia, a tiny village in Guangxi where residents claim to have spotted strange flying objects in the sky, and even an underground tunnel network near the Great Wall that seems much too modern and advanced for its age. No one can figure out where it came from or who created it.
To me, mysteries like these are endlessly fascinating. Just imagining what the rational explanations could be makes my mind spin. Maybe those desert patterns were created for religious purposes by an ancient civilization? Or are they actually laser guidance signals for alien spacecraft? As for the tunnel network, did it exist as an escape route for the emperor in times
of war? Or could it be artificial underground chambers built by a highly intelligent non-human species?
Those are just my fun theories, of course. I'm sure the real explanations the mysteries team uncovers will be even more amazing! That's why I so badly want to join them on their adventures. I'm totally obsessed with unsolved mysteries and I've been preparing myself for this since I was a little kid.
For example, I'm always looking for new mysteries to investigate around my own neighborhood and school. A couple years ago, I used wires and magnets from old science kits to construct a really professional-looking EMF meter to detect magnetic fields and other energy fluctuations. It came in handy when my friends and I found a weird, abandoned storage room hidden behind a boiler room wall at school. Some of the older kids said it used to be visited by ghosts! My EMF meter didn't pick up anything too bizarre, but I still интереca documented the whole place with photos, video logs, and sketches of the strange symbols we found etched into the walls.
I've also checked every book about cryptozoology, the paranormal, and unsolved historical mysteries out of our local library. I may have gotten a few late fees on those from renewing them too many times! But hey, all that reading helped make me
an expert on unusual phenomena from around the world. That's sure to come in handy if I get to join the China Unsolved Mysteries team.
Staying up late is another important skill I've mastered over the years. A lot of the creepy stuff the mysteries team investigates only happens after midnight, so you have to be willing to work some pretty bizarre hours. That's no problem for me - I've spent countless nights awake doing kid-friendly vigils and stakeouts in reportedly haunted places. Whether it's an old crumbling temple, a dense area of forest where travelers have gone missing, or even just the abandoned house across the street, you'll find me there with my camera, flashlights, GPS, lots of snacks, and an energetic curiosity to keep me going!
I think my skills at staying calm in spooky situations could also be really valuable on mystery investigations. My parents have always joked that I was born without the "fear" instinct since nothing seems to scare me or freak me out too much. Like the time we went to an amusement park haunted house and I was the only one not screaming while clutching my dad's arm! Or the sleepover at my friend's place when I was convinced I saw a shadowy figure lurking outside the window at 3am...while everyone else freaked out, I calmly turned on all the lights and
started recording video evidence in case I saw it again. You have to keep your cool in situations like those.
If you ask me, attributes like interests, skill set, and mindset make me perfectly suited to join the ranks of the amazing adults who investigate the most puzzling mysteries China has to offer. I may be young, but I'm very mature for my age. I have a thing for somehow bottling up insatiable curiosity and deathly serious skepticism inside a hyper-imaginative mind. What other
10-year-old can say that? Not many, I'd wager.
My dream is to one day put those qualities to use by tagging along with the Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team. Being with them on a real paranormal investigation would be the most epic, thrilling, cooler-than-cool experience ever. Just picture it: me, walking side-by-side with my heroes, carefully searching an ancient crypt or mountainous cavern, EMF meter in one hand and powerful flashlight in the other, using all my detective skills and bravery to help unravel whatever spooky mysteries we come across! My brain gets flooded with excited chills just thinking about it.
So that's my goal and greatest aspiration. To become an official member of the China Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team before I even hit my teenage years. Sure, some people
might say I'm too young or that the mysteries they investigate could be too dangerous for a kid. But I know I have what it takes to pull my weight and make important contributions alongside the adult investigators. The hard part is convincing them to let me tag along!
This essay is my first try at showing how devoted and qualified I am to join their group. I hope reading it demonstrates my knowledge, passion, and preparedness for exploring this fascinating world of unsolved mysteries found right here in China. Some kids want to be astronauts, professional athletes or pop stars when they grow up. But not me - my dream job is to be a paranormal investigator extraordinaire! And I'd say the China Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team is the best place to start that career path at my age.
With my unwavering spirit of curiosity, my brave mindset that leaves no room for fear, and my genuine interest in uncovering the truth behind bizarre phenomena that others can't explain, I know I have what it takes to be an asset on their team. China is full of bewildering unsolved mysteries and unexplained oddities. And I'm determined to be one of the adventurous truth-seekers who helps solve them all!

My Dream to Explore Unsolved Mysteries
Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I really really want to be part of the Chinese Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team. I think exploring mysteries would be soooo awesome and fun! I'm going to tell you why I should get to be on the team.
First of all, I'm a huge fan of mysteries. My favorite TV show is "Case Crackers" where they solve all kinds of crazy mysteries like haunted houses, UFO sightings, and unexplained disappearances. I've seen every single episode like a hundred times! Whenever there's a new mystery, I pause the show and try to figure it out before they reveal the answer. I get it right at least half the time because I'm just that good.
I also read tons of mystery books, comics, and magazines. My favorites are the Detective Squirrel books where the squirrel detective has to solve mysteries in the forest. I've read all 27 books in that series like three times each. My room is totally covered with mystery posters and I even have a mini detective office with a corkboard, magnifying glass, and fake mustache that I wear when I'm working on solving a mystery.
Speaking of solving mysteries, I'm always trying to crack the unsolved mysteries around my neighborhood and school. Like
why does Old Mr. Chang hang all those wind chimes in his yard? Is he trying to communicate with aliens? Or why does the light in the bathroom at school always flicker on and off? Is it haunted by the ghost of a kid who failed too many math tests? I've got a notebook where I write down all my theories and evidence that I've collected through stakeouts and investigations.
Another reason I'd be great for the mysteries team is that I'm super curious and I never give up. Whenever I can't figure something out, I just get more determined to solve it. Like why do we have to wear scratchy uniforms to school instead of comfortable pajamas? Or why can't we eat all the ice cream we want? I keep digging and asking questions until I get to the bottom of things.
I'm also really good at finding clues and cracking codes. My parents are always losing stuff or forgetting where they put things, so I have to be a detective to figure out where their keys, wallet, or glasses went. Sometimes it's a trail of clues like crumbs from a snack or the remote being behind a couch cushion. Other times it's like a code I have to decipher from the weird places they leave stuff. If something's really tricky to find, I'll make chalk outlines or sketches to map out the whole crime scene, just like real detectives.
And if I ever get really stuck, I don't just give up. I use my curiosity skills to keep investigating and asking questions to anyone who might know something useful. Like if I can't figure out where my dad's lost wallet is, I'll interview my whole family about what they were doing that day and when they last saw it. I'll even bring out the fingerprint dusting kit I got for my birthday and look for prints! Being curious and never giving up is the key to cracking any case.
Apart from my investigation talents, I'm also really good at other skills that would help me on the mysteries team. I'm an awesome reader, so I could comb through textbooks, diaries, or other writing clues to unlock the secrets of any ancient mystery. I'm decent at math too, so if there are codes or measurements involved, I'm totally covered. Oh and I just started taking Chinese calligraphy lessons, so I'll be a pro at deciphering fancy old writing on scrolls or whatever in no time! My memory skills are tops as well, since I can recite everything I've ever learned about any mystery I've studied.
What I'm really saying is that I'd be the perfect elementary student to include on the Chinese Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team. I know more about unsolved mysteries than anyone my age. I'm crazy curious, super determined, and I've got
mad detective skills like clue hunting, code cracking, and skilled investigating. I never give up until I can make sense of things. Plus I've got bonus talents like reading, math, and soon calligraphy that would totally help me decipher any ancient mysteries you throw my way. I'm just a kid but I'd work my butt off as the youngest, but maybe one of the best, members of your team.
Imagine all the cool, creepy, and confusing mysteries from Chinese history we could tackle together! We could travel around looking for UFO landing sites, hunting for proof of ancient monsters, cracking coded messages from the past, or searching for hidden treasures from lost civilizations. I'd get to put all my detective skills to work investigating spooky places like The Forbidden City, Terracotta Army

My Dream to Uncover Ancient Secrets
Hi there! My name is Xiao Ming and I'm 10 years old. I'm writing to you today because I reeeeally want to join the Chinese Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team. You see, ever since I was a tiny kid, I've been obsessed with mysteries and ancient secrets!
It all started when my grandpa took me to visit the Terracotta Warriors when I was 6 years old. As soon as I laid eyes on those incredible life-sized soldier statues buried underground for over 2,000 years, I was hooked! How did they get there? Who made them? Why were they burieds hundreds of feet beneath the earth? So many questions filled my curious little mind.
Grandpa could see the wheels turning as I stared in awe at the ancient army. He smiled and said, "The past is full of mysteries just waiting to be solved by curious minds like yours." From that day on, I became a junior archaeologist in training!
Every weekend, Grandpa would take me on adventures to rugged mountain temples, crumbling village ruins, and eerie underground tombs. We'd explore the ancient sites, examining pottery shards, tarnished coins, and weather-beaten carvings for clues about the past. Who were the nameless people who left these objects behind? What were their stories?
My favorite was exploring the sacred Mogao Caves in Dunhuang. Grandpa and I marveled at the vibrant Buddhist murals adorning the rocky walls, preserved for over a millennium. We wondered what ancient monks and artists had created such gorgeous works? And why did they chisel out an entire network
of caves in that remote desert? Solving that puzzle will require more time, research, and exploration!
At home, I devoured books on Chinese history, mythology, and unsolved archaeological mysteries like a hungry panda gobbling bamboo. I read about the legends of the grand Xanadu palace of Kublai Khan, which has never been found despite centuries of searching. And I learned about the enduring mystery of the Liangzhu jade-wealthy ancient culture that abruptly vanished over 4,000 years ago, abandoning their sophisticated ruined city for reasons unknown.
With every new mystery I uncovered, I felt like a young Indiana Jones, destined for a life of adventure and discovery! Well, maybe not the death-defying stunts - I'm a tad terrified of snakes and rolling boulder traps. But the thrill of cracking
long-unsolved ancient codes and riddles? Sign me up!
Which brings me to why I'm writing to your esteemed team today. You see, while books and weekend explorations with Grandpa have been great, I know there's so much more to discover. I need to join your elite crew of mystery solvers to take my skills to the next level.
I may be small, but I'm a hungry learner with insatiable curiosity. Just look at my intensive Mandarin calligraphy training
- I've mastered writing over 3,000 complex logograms to decipher old etchings and epigraphs. My tiny hands are dexterous enough to brush dirt off delicate archaeological finds without damaging them. And I'm a whiz at research, skilled in separating truth from boring "grown-up" lies about monsters and mystic curses.
Most importantly, I have the heart of a true explorer, brimming with adventurous spirit. While my friends Benny and Li Hua are happy watching cartoons and playing video games all day, I dream of venturing into uncharted wilderness in search of revelation. What rustic mountain village is harboring the secret of China's mystical Immortals? Which overgrown jungle ruins conceal the lost labyrinth of the legendary ninth-century monk who traveled to India? I need to unearth those truths!
Sure, I may scream loudly if I stumble upon ancient booby traps or petrified human remains like a certain fearless cinema archaeologist (just keep me away from snakes!). But I'll muster my courage to plow ahead. For the sake of revealing the enigmas of the past, no sacrifice is too great!
In conclusion, I humbly submit this request to join your Chinese Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team. My tiny body is a mere vessel - within it beats the heart of an adventurer destined
to unlock the archaeological wonders of our ancient civilization. With Grandpa's wisdom, my voracious studies, and your elite team's guidance, I know I can unearth the untold truths awaiting discovery.
So, uhh...when can I join your crew? My calligraphy brush is inked, my rucksack packed, and my taste for danger finely whetted (just no whips or venomous reptiles, please). The path to solving enduring ancient mysteries starts today - pick me, oh please pick me!
Thank you for your consideration!

My Super Cool Application to Join the Awesome Mystery Exploration Team!
Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I really really want to join the China Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team because I think mysteries are super cool and fun to solve.
I'm going to tell you all the reasons why you should let me be on the team!
First of all, I love mysteries more than anything in the whole wide world. I read every single mystery book I can get my hands on - from Encyclopedia Brown to Nancy Drew to the Hardy Boys. I've probably read a billion mystery books by now! My favorite kinds of mysteries are the ones with secret codes, hidden clues, and twisty surprise endings. I'm really good at picking up on little details and putting the pieces together to solve the puzzle.
I'm also really curious and I always want to know the answer to everything. Like why is the sky blue? How do planes stay up in the air? Where do the missing socks from the dryer go? Those are just some of the many questions I ask my poor parents every single day. They say I'm like a little detective, always snooping around and investigating things. I definitely got my curious, questioning spirit from them!
Speaking of detectives, I've been practicing my detective skills for years now. I can sketch chalk outlines on the floor, take fingerprints, do cool spy moves like tucking and rolling, and I even have a super cool detective kit with a magnifying glass, invisible ink pen, and walkie-talkies. My friends and I are always putting on detective shows and solving make-believe cases in
the neighborhood. I'm literally the best kid detective you could ever find!
Another reason I'd be perfect for the mysteries team is that I'm crazy brave and I don't scare easily at all. I've watched all the scariest movies like The Shining, Nightmare on Elm Street, and It without getting even a tiny bit spooked. My friends call me the bravest kid they know! I'm definitely not afraid of going into haunted places, dark forests, or creepy abandoned buildings to investigate.
I'm also really smart - I get straight A's in all my classes at school and I'm amazing at reading, writing, math, you name it. I read at a high school level and I can multiply and divide like a calculator in my head. All the teachers are always saying how clever I am. With my sharp thinking skills, I'd be able to unlock secret codes, decipher clues, and put the pieces together to solve any mystery, no problem!
Plus, I've traveled all around China with my family, so I know a ton about the history, culture, and legends of different provinces. My grandparents have told me so many fascinating old folktales and stories about mythical creatures, ancient civilizations, and unsolved events. I basically have a wealth of knowledge about Chinese mysteries already!
And you know what else? I never give up! I'm the most determined, hard-working, and persistent kid you'll ever meet. Once I set my mind on solving a mystery, I'll work on it night and day, studying every little fact and following every tiny lead until I figure it out. My parents are always telling me "Xiaoming, you could solve the toughest case with your stubbornness!" It's true - I don't stop until I get to the bottom of things.
Another awesome skill I have is working well as part of a team. In all my group projects at school, I'm the one reassuring everyone when we get stuck, helping divide up the work fairly, and making sure we stay on schedule. My teacher says I'm a total natural leader! I'm also lots of fun to work with because I always make people laugh with my hilarious jokes and silly comments. Any mysteries team would be so lucky to have me as a member!
I speak pretty good English too from taking classes since I was little. I can communicate with mystery experts and detectives from all around the world to get help on cases. I'm also great at using computers and technology to do research and analyze data. You could call me a Baby Einstein hacker kid genius or something!
Lastly, I have to tell you that solving mysteries is literally my biggest dream in the entire universe. I want it more than
anything! I dream about it every night - searching for clues, putting the pieces together, unraveling ancient secrets. It's my calling in life, I can feel it. If you put me on the team, I'd work harder than anyone and treat every case with utmost importance and dedication. I'm only 10 but I'm wise beyond my years when it comes to this stuff.
Please consider me for your mysteries exploration team! I was pretty much born to be a detective. With my brains, bravery, curiosity, determination, and overall awesomeness, I'd be the perfect junior member. Just imagine - me, a little kid detective, helping investigate crazy, unsolved mysteries all across China! How cool would that be? I'll solve every case, no question.
So what do you say? Give me a chance and you definitely won't regret it! I'll make you proud. Let's unmask the secrets of China's past together!
Your future Mystery Solving Superstar,
Xiaoming

My Big Dream to Explore Mysteries
Hi there! My name is Xiaoming and I'm 10 years old. I love going on adventures and solving puzzles. That's why I really, really want to join the Chinese Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team! I think I would be super good at it. Let me tell you why.
First of all, I'm very curious about everything. I'm always asking "why?" and wanting to know more. Like, why is the sky blue? Why do dogs bark? Why do we need to go to school? My parents and teachers are probably tired of me asking so many questions, but I just can't help it! There's so much I want to learn about the world.
My curiosity also means I never give up until I find the answer to something. One time, I couldn't figure out how to solve this really hard math problem about fractions. Most kids would have just given up, but not me! I worked on it over and over until I finally got it right. My mom says I'm "relentless" when it comes to solving mysteries and puzzles.
Another awesome thing about me is that I'm a great reader. I devour books about history, science, and unsolved mysteries from around the world. I know sooooo many cool facts about weird things that have happened and haven't been explained yet, like the Loch Ness Monster, the Bermuda Triangle, or those weird drawings people found in the desert called the Nazca Lines.
Maybe they were made by aliens? Who knows! That's what makes them fun mysteries to think about.
My favorite unsolved mystery from China is the Terracotta Army. You know, those thousands of ancient clay soldier statues that were buried underground for centuries until farmers accidentally discovered them? No one is totally sure why they were made or how the ancient Chinese people created such amazingly detailed and life-like statues without modern tools. I went on a field trip to see them at the museum and they were so cool! I asked our tour guide about a million questions trying to get to the bottom of the mystery.
I'm also a really good explorer and love being outdoors. My family goes camping a lot, and I'm an expert at hiking, setting up tents, cooking over a campfire, you name it. I know tons about survival skills and reading maps and tracking animals too. Those could come in really handy if our Mysteries Team has to investigate something out in nature, like the mysterious Pyramid-Shaped Mountain in Sichuan Province. What if it was built by ancient aliens?! We'd have to do some camping and hiking to check it out for sure.
One last thing that makes me perfect for this team - I'm not afraid of anything! Ghosts, monsters, aliens, you can throw it all
at me and I won't get scared. In fact, I love a good spooky story or rumor, like the legends about ghostly Black Truck apparitions driving down remote roads at night. Or what about those unexplained explosions and tremors that happened last year near that remote desert town? People thought it might be underground alien bases or secret military experiments! My friend Tommy gets freaked out just thinking about stuff like that, but not me. I'd be stoked to investigate it myself.
Okay, I could probably go on forever about this since I'm so obsessed with unsolved mysteries. But I should wrap it up now. Just please, please, please let me be on the Chinese Unsolved Mysteries Exploration Team! I was seriously born for this. With my curiosity, smarts, survival skills, bravery, and knowledge of mysteries, I would be an amazing asset to the team. We could travel around China uncovering the truth about its weirdest legends and strangest phenomena! How cool would that be?
I promise I would work really hard and never let you down. Making groundbreaking discoveries and cracking century-old mysteries is my biggest dream in the whole world. Pretty much all I ever think about is unexplained stuff like that. Let me use my passion and talents to help the team! I'll make you proud.
Thanks for considering me. Hopefully I'll see you out there in the field investigating soon!
Sincerely,
Xiaoming (Future Mystery Solver Extraordinaire)。
