High School is Tough But Seniors Gotta Work Hard on English!

Hiya! My name is Tommy and I'm a 4th grader. I may be just a kid, but I know that high school, especially senior year, is no walk in the park! My older brother Danny is a high school senior and he's always stressed out. I see him studying late into the night almost every day.

Senior year is really important for getting into a good college. My parents remind Danny about that all the time. They say he needs to get excellent grades and high test scores, especially on the English tests like the SAT and TOEFL if he wants to go to a top university. English is super duper important!

From what I can tell, English is one of the toughest subjects for high school students. It's not just about memorizing vocabulary words and grammar rules. In English class, you have to write essays, analyze literature, discuss ideas, and really

understand things in-depth. It's way harder than just doing math problems or rote memorization.

My brother struggles a lot with English writing and reading comprehension. He finds it really challenging to organize his thoughts into a clear, logical essay with good examples and evidence. He gets stressed out trying to understand the deeper meanings and implications in books and poems they read for English lit class.

I overhear my parents telling Danny that he absolutely has to improve his English skills if he wants to get into a good college. They are always bugging him about practicing more English reading, writing, and speaking. But Danny is sooooo busy with all his other classes, extracurricular activities, prepping for standardized tests, finalizing his college applications, and trying to have a little free time too. There's only so many hours in a day!

If I were a high school senior, here's what I would do to make sure I really focused on improving my English:

First off, I'd sit down and make a schedule to divide up my time properly. I'd put aside dedicated time every single day for English practice, no excuses! During that time, I'd read English books, newspapers or magazines out loud to improve my pronunciation and comprehension. I'd do English writing

exercises like sample essay prompts. I'd join an English conversation club to practice speaking. I'd watch movies and shows in English and look up any words I didn't know.

I'd also prioritize asking lots of questions in

Title: High Schoolers Need to Balance Time for English Better!

Hey guys! It's me again, your friend from elementary school. I'm writing to you high schoolers today because I've been hearing a lot about how you struggle with English writing. I know it's a really tough subject, but I think I can share some advice that will help you out!

First off, I want to say that English is super important. You're gonna need to write a ton of essays and papers in college and at your jobs when you're older. The better you get at writing now, the easier everything will be later on. So you gotta take it seriously, even if it's not your favorite subject.

But I also know you high schoolers have a million other things going on too. You've got math, science, history, extracurriculars, trying to have a social life...your schedules are
