T: Have you ever heard of Yang Lan?Her English is very good. Do you know how she studies English? I hear that she studied English by making vocabulary lists ,by listening to tapes and sometimes by making flashcards .So her pronunciation is very good.

Get the Ss to guess the meaning of the new words. The teacher can explain in English. Then Ss try to read them.
