有关情绪的英文表达

情绪(emotion)是一种心理(mental)与生理(physiological)的状态,包括许多种的感觉(feeling)、想法(thought)与行为(behaviour)。

它是主观体验(subjective experience),经常与心绪(mood)、生性(temperament)、性格(personality)与倾向性(disposition)联系在一起。

下面按照字母顺序简要介绍主要的情绪类型。

每个词下面还有近义词,按照近义程度从上往下排列。

acceptance:指一个人感受到某种形式(situation)或条件(condition)【常常是负面的(negative)或不舒服的(uncomfortable)】,但不试图改变(change)、抗议(protest)或躲避(exit)。

affection:是一种常常与爱(love)有关的心态(disposition or state of mind),要高于友谊(friendship)或善意(good will)。

例如小哥哥亲弟弟的脸来表达affection。

“虽然你的情绪只有一小茶匙那么少,但这并不意味着所有人都只有这么一丁点儿。

”在电影《哈利波特与凤凰社》里,怒气冲冲的赫敏对罗恩说。

但事实上,我们的情绪恐怕真的只有这么一丁点。

日前,英国格拉斯哥大学精神与心理研究所在《当代生物学》上发表了最新研究结果,该研究发现,人类的情感范围远远小于科学界此前的结论。

传统科学认为,人类的情绪可划分为6种经典类型——高兴、惊讶、恐惧、厌恶、生气和伤心,但格拉斯哥大学的科学家们对此并不赞同。

实验中,他们向志愿者展示了由计算机生成的面部动画,并要求志愿者根据6种情绪类型,对不同的面部表情进行描述。

结果显示,对这些志愿者来说,“生气”与“厌恶”的初期表现其实非常相近,类似状况还发生在“恐惧”与“惊讶”中。

比如,当人们产生“生气”或“厌恶”的情绪时,都会皱起鼻子;而“恐惧”或“惊讶”时,都会挑高眉毛。

当然,随着时间推移,上述两组面部表情间的区别将会逐渐显现,但在情绪发生之初,面部信号非常相似。

研究者指出,这说明生气与厌恶、惊讶与恐惧间的差异,更多是基于人类的社会性而非生物性。

据此,研究者判断,人类只有4种基本情绪,即:高兴,伤心,恐惧/惊讶,生气/厌恶。

这一结论基于人类面部表情的生物性——尽管惊讶与恐惧、生气与厌恶间的确有差异,但这些差异更多是基于社会因素。

“动态模型能传达出面部表情信号层次的变化。

实验显示,动态模型产生之初,源于生物性的情绪信号起主导作用,但复杂的社会性参与进来后,可判别出的6种情绪便随之而生。

”研究报告这样写道。

研究者推断,人们恐惧/惊讶时瞪大眼睛,是对“危险突至”的反应,这一动作可以帮助人们搜集更多信息。

同样,生气/厌恶时,为了对“静态危险”做出反应人们会皱起鼻子,比如面对病原体时,皱起鼻子会让你减少吸取有害空气。

“就像语言一样,数据所反映出的6种面部情绪正在从原始、简单的交流模式,逐步进化为更现代、更加复杂多变的情绪信号。

这些情绪基于不断发展的社会而产生,同时象征着现代化交流的需要。

”论文作者写道。

也就是说,人类的基本情绪只有4种,它们是当今人类所有复杂情绪的基石。

美国研究人员Ekman和Friesen发现,人类有六种基本情绪即快乐、悲伤、恐惧、惊讶、愤怒、嫉妒这六种情绪可以相互组合,并派生出其余各种各样的复合情绪,如忧郁、紧张、焦虑等。

快乐是人类的六种基本情绪之一。

表现的形式主要有乐观的态度、微笑等等。

快乐会使人分泌“快乐激素”,这种激素可以抵抗忧郁,有助于抵消消极情绪给人带来的影响。

一般来说,快乐能够提高工作效率。

悲伤是人类的另一种基本情绪。

当人们悲伤时,嘴唇及眼部周围的肌肉会紧绷,并且很容易感到沮丧和忧虑,降低做事效率。

另外,悲伤还会减慢人体的新陈代谢,导致人体机能下降。

愤怒,通常属于次级情绪(?)。

愤怒,常常伴随脸部充血,人的身体处于紧张的状态,有时候身体还会发抖。

愤怒会使血压升高。

为了避免促怒他人,必须正确了解愤怒情绪的触点,亦即了解人们在变得愤怒之前的情绪状态。

恐惧,使人变得敏感,随时判断潜在的威胁。

由于随时准备逃跑,血液会流到下肢和呼吸系统,脸部可能会因缺血而显得苍白。

惊讶,也是一种人的基本情绪,它比较中性。

一般惊讶的时候,人们会张大眼睛,扬起眉毛,以便能更好地观察,分析情况。

一般来说,惊讶的时候,人们的听觉也会更加灵敏。

厌恶,一般人们在感到厌恶时,面部会扭曲,身体有试图离开令人厌恶事物的倾向。

了解各种情绪,并且在工作中运用情商知识,能够帮助管理者挖掘员工的潜能,提高组织的运行效率。

主要的积极意义有如下几个方面:
1)加强沟通,避免沟通中出现障碍;
2)培养团队相互尊重的工作氛围,提高团队的工作效率;
3)管理者能够明确地向员工传递期望,并且能够帮助了解员工工作绩效高低的内在原因。
