教材分析
本单元是人教版七年级下册第三单元,人教版初中英文教材是以话题为主线,以任务为中心,兼顾交际功能和语言知识结构的学习,以一种循序渐进的生活化的学习程序,引导学生学会在实际生活中正确使用英语。

其语言目标主要是谈论和学习去某地的交通方式、时间、距离,围绕How do you get to some place这一话题展开,话题源于生活,通过结合图片和对话创造一个真实的生活情景,给学生以直观的印象,让学生更好的掌握基本语言技能。

教学目标

1. To learn to use How questions, affirmative and negative statements.
2. Learn to talk about how to get to places, how long it takes to go to places, and how far the places are.
3. To talk about kinds of transportation.
【过程与方法目标】
探究式教学法、直观教学法、情景教学
【情感态度价值观目标】
通过本单元的学习让学生学会在日常生活中用英语询问对方所使用的交通工具、路程花费时间以及距离。

以及了解东西方国家出行方式的不同,以及不同的交通规则,教育学生注意交通安全,加深对交通知识的了解。

倡导自觉遵守交通法规及礼貌,构建和谐的人际关系。

教学重难点
【教学重点】
1. 运用新词汇、短语和句型,询问他人和表达自己的交通方式及所花费的时间。

1. How/How long/How far引导的特殊疑问句。

2. 巩固复习乘坐交通工具的表示方法。

【教学难点】
1. 由How引导的特殊疑问句和第三人称单数的表达。

2. 运用所学的单词和句型进行拓展性的对话。

3. How/How long/How far问句结构区分以及分别怎样回答。

Task 1
Step 1 Warming-up
1.通过图片向学生们展示一些交通工具的图片,引导学生进入今天关于交通工具话题的讨论。

2. 课堂引入:
T: “Hello, everyone! What’s the weather like today? It’s a sunny day with a gentle breeze. You know I live far from school. I always drive my car to school. So, how do you get to school? Today, let’s talk about how you go from one place to another. And we will talk about the time it takes to get to places and how far it is between two places.”
Then ask students “How do you get to school?” “Do you take a/the... to school?”
Step 2 Pre-listening
Work on 1a:
Match the words with the pictures.
Step 3 While-listening
Work on 1b:
Listen and write the numbers next to the correct students in the box.
Step 4 Post-listening
1. 让学生观察图片,讨论回答老师关于选择何种交通工具上学的提问,通过问答来让学生
熟悉句型。

—How do you usually get to school?
—I usually take a/the... to school.
2. 再通过人称互换,让学生回答老师关于不同学生选择何种交通工具上学的提问,通过问
答来让学生熟悉句型,学会对第三人称单数的问答。

—How does she/he get to school?
—She/He takes a/the... to school.
3. 总结动词短语take a/the...在句子中的使用,拓展介词短语by+交通工具,并对两种句型的
使用进行区分,再做配对口语练习,让学生熟悉它们的用法,并灵活掌握。

Work on 1c (Doing pair work):
Please read the dialogue in 1c. And make your own conversations about how the people in the picture get to school with their partner. Then I’ll ask some pairs to say their dialogue.
Task 2
Step 1 Pre-listening
Learn the numbers:
1. Review the numbers: 1-10.
2. Learn the numbers.
从简单11-20,20-30,慢慢扩展到百位数,千位数,并为学生总结数字英文说法的规律。

3. Practice:
让学生用英语写出计算题的答案,巩固练习关于数字的说法,为接下来关于路程的说法打下基础。

Work on 2a:
Listening and repeating
Listen to these numbers and repeat. Please pay attention to the pronunciation.
Answers: 32, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100
Work on 2b:
Listen and complete the chart.
Work on 2c:
Listen again. Check your answers in 2b.
Step 3 Post-listening
1. 教师首先通过图片示例和学生进行师生互动,带学生熟悉相关句型。

—How long does it to take you to get from your home to school?
—It takes 25 minutes.
—How far is it from your home to school?
—It’s 2 kilometers.
2. 让学生两人一组,进行生生互动,操练对话。

T: Now please make your own conversations about how you get to school, how long does it takes and how far is it? Read the example dialogue first then make yours with your partner.
2d. Student A is Jane and Student B is Tom. Use the information in 2b to make conversations.
A: How do you get to school? B: I…
A: How long does it take…? B: It takes…
A: How far is it from… to…? B: It’s about…
3. 角色扮演:role play the conversation.让学生通过角色扮演更多进行输出,锻炼学生的听说能力。

4. Do 2e. Role-play the conversation.
5. Language points:
动词take的用法;介词短语by的用法,以及与take动词短语的使用区分。

6. Do some exercise.
Step 4 Homework
1. Copy 2c and 2d.
2. Make a survey.
How do your parents go to work? And how long does it take?
教学反思
本节课的重点在于学会使用How引导的三个疑问句,并对这三个疑问句分别进行回答,学生在使用第一个句型时,常常把take和by的句型混淆,所以一定要加强口语训练,并针对这两个句子做一些练习题,使他们熟悉并区分。

How long和How far的句子结构和回答也是高频错误区。

教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up
1. 教师向学生展示不同交通工具的图片,学生根据图片说出相关的短语,要注意动词的使用。

通过图片复习昨天学过的知识,并引入今天的教学内容。

2. 自由讨论:让学生两人一组,用How/How far/How long的句子讨论关于交通工具,以及上学所需距离、时间等话题,启发学生思考,激发学生输出的积极性。

Students work in pairs and practice the conversations by using “How do you usually get to school?” “How long does it take?” “How far is it?”
How do you usually come to school?
How far is your home from your school?
How long does it take you to get to school every day?
Step 2 Practice
1. Work on 3a:
(1) Match the questions with the answers.
(2) Check the answers. Then practice them.
(3) Summarize the difference between how, how far and how long.

2. Work on 3b.
T: Use these words to make questions. Get into pairs and ask and answer the questions.
Have Ss check their answers in groups and then present their answers to the class.

3. Work on 3c.
(1) T: Get into groups and ask your classmates questions and write their names in the chart. The first student to fill in all the blanks wins.
(2) T: Make a report about your findings and present them to the class.

Step 3 Production
小组活动:为学生创设情境,假设他们要从北京去上海度假,让学生2-3人一组,讨论应该选择什么样的交通工具以及为什么。

讨论之后选出三组学生在全班同学面前汇报。

We’re going to Shanghai for vacation.
It’s 1,056 kilometers from Shanghai.

教学反思
通过完成3a-3c的任务,进一步巩固语法基础知识,并运用所学的语言基础知识,培养学生运用语言的能力,同时,让学生在实际操练中领会并掌握基础语法知识,老师在该环节中起引导作用。
