英语作文-how to be a qualified college
student
How to be a qualified college student
Nowadays, with an increasing number of high school students having been admitted into colleges or universities, how to be a qualified college student, thus, has become a heated topic among people. Some hold the idea that a qualified college student should stay at college and learn as much professional knowledge as possible, while others argue that a qualified college student should go out of the college and take part in as much social activities as possible. As for me, however, professional knowledge and social experience are of equal importance and a qualified college student should posses both of them.
My view can be supported by two points. For one thing, professional kn owledge can be an effective guide for one’s future study or work. As we all know that the main task of college students is still to study, and one should spare a certain amount of time to study every day. Furthermore, knowledge is power, and only when you are armed with abundant professional knowledge, can you lay a solid foundation for your further study and future work as well. For another, social experience can help one to adapt to the competitive society quickly and easily. Although one should put much emphasis on study, yet taking too much time in study is sloth. Therefore, one should
participate in some social activities to gain as much social experience as possible. Once you take part in social activities you will get social experience more or less, and vice verse. Just take Zhao Kuo, a famous person in history, for example, who had a good knowledge of strategies and theories of war on the books, while he didn’t have any social experience. No wonder that when he instructed the battle, his army was completely defeated by the rival. Thus, it pays to participate some social activities and get some practical experience.
Considering what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that a qualified college student should be armed with abundant professional knowledge and rich social experience as well. Only one is qualified with them two, can he have a promising future.

When I first entered college,I quickly realized that my habits from high school just would not fly.During my first semester,I remember thinking,"Man,I wish someone would have told me what to expect fromcollege ...or gave me some tips or something." It took me a while, but I soon caught on.I ended up graduating in just four years with dual-Bachelor of Science degrees, was able to study abroad, and am now currently in my second year of graduate school.I have spent
enough time in higher education to know what's going on ...and my family calls me a "professional student."
Because the first semester of college is supposed to be the most stressful,I want to share some things that I learned (the hard way) that will help all of you start your higher education on a better track than mine did.Even those of you who are already in college may be able to find this article helpful.
The following list contains seven suggestions to becoming a
well-organized,successful college student ...seven suggestions that I use personally.。
