Donald lived in an old houseboat(水上住家) and wore his sailor jacket and hat. Later that year he became a star after an eight –minute Mickey Mouse film. Soon Donald was more popular than Mickey Mouse himself, probably because he wasn’t a goody-goody like Mickey.
In the 1930s, 40s and 50s Donald and his friends Mickey, Goofy and Pluto made hundreds of Disney cartoons. He also made educational films about the place of the USA in the world, and safety in the home. Then in 1966 Donald Duck and his voice disappeared – there were no more new cartoons.

How fit are your teeth? Are you lazy about

The Kolibree toothbrush was exhibited at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this week. It senses how it is moved and can send the information to an Android phone or iPhone via a Bluetooth wireless connection.
The toothbrush will be able to teach you to brush in a right way and make sure you’re brushing long enough. “It’s like having a dentist actually watch your brushing.” says Thomas Serval, the French inventor.
The toothbrush will also be able to talk to other apps on your phone, so developers could, for example, create a game controlled by your toothbrush. You could score points for beating monsters(怪物) among your teeth. “We try to make it not only smart but also fun,” Serval says.
Serval says he was inspired by his experience as a father. He would come home from work and ask his kids if they had brushed their teeth. They said “yes,” but Serval would find their toothbrush heads dry. He decided he needed a brush that really told him how well his children brushed.
The company says the Kolibree will go on sale this summer, from $99 to $199, depending on features.

For example, a husband may buy jewellery such as a diamond necklace or a ring for his wife. A woman may buy a tie or a leather wallet for her husband. These days computers are popular as gifts. Some even buy Christmas trees to put in their homes or offices. It's a fun time of the year!
