Good sportsmanship happens when teammates, opponents(对手), coaches, and officials treat each other with respect(尊
重). Kids learn the basics of sportsmanship from the adults in their lives, especially their parents and their coaches. Kids who see adults behaving in a sportsmanlike way gradually come to understand that the real winners in sports are those who know how to keep on trying and to behave well - whether they win or lose a game.
Parents can help their kids understand that good sportsmanship includes both small gestures and heroic efforts. It starts with something as simple as shaking hands with opponents before a game and includes admitting good plays made by others and accepting bad calls gracefully. Showing good sportsmanship isn't always easy: It can be hard to congratulate the opposing team after losing a close or important game. But the kids who learn how to do it will benefit in many ways.
A child who bullies or laugh at others on the playing field isn't likely to change the behavior when in the classroom or in social situations. In the same way, a child who practices good sportsmanship is likely to carry the respect and appreciation of other people into every other aspect of life The best coaches and parents encourage their kids to play fair, to have fun, and to concentrate(用心于) on helping the team while improving their own skills.

Animals like the lion are known as carnivorous (meat-eating) animals. They feed on smaller animals. But many other animals
eat grass or plants. They are called herbivorous (plant-eating) animals.
You may be surprised to learn that there are carnivorous plants as well as carnivorous animals. Plants that grow in poor
soil need other food. They trap (catch by a trick) small insects and take their bodies as food.
The pitcher plant (猪笼草) is a common carnivorous plant.
This plant has a clever trap like a pitcher or jar. It even has a lid to keep out of the rain. The mouth of the pitcher is covered with something sweet like honeydew). Insects come to the plant to feed on the honeydew. When they have eaten all that is round the mouth, they go into the pitcher to look for more. There is more honeydew deep in the pitcher and they go down to feed on it. The inner wall of the pitcher is covered with fine hairs. These hairs point downwards so that the insects cannot climb out of the pitcher. They are trapped in it. They die there, and their bodies are taken as food by the plant.

Billie Holiday was one of the greatest jazz(爵士音乐) singers in America. Her life was just a mixture of success and tragedy(悲剧). Her singing expressed her experiences and feelings.

第六部分书面表达(25分)
Dear Lily,
In the letter, you asked me something about study pressure.
It's a big problem which needs to solve. I have some suggestions
for you.
In order to relax ourselves, first we can turn to some of
our hobbies different students have different ways ----Some watch TV. some listen to music. But for me I enjoy taking exercise most. Whenever I feel tired, I always spend an hour (in) walking or jogging in the park. Besides, I also play table tennis with my friends after class. In my opinion, taking exercise can not only rest our brains and eyes but also help build our bodies. I think it's really helpful to both my health
and my study. Last but not least, to be confident and believe yourselves. Confidence can help you to study easier..
I hope you can treat pressure properly. If you can do it
like this, you will succeed sooner or later.
Yours, Li Hua。
