雅思小作文USA sales of
The tables below give information about sales of Fairtrade*-labelled coffee and bananas in 1999 and 2004 in five European countries.Fairtrade: a category of products for which farmers from developing countries have been paid an officially agreed fair price.
范文:
The tables show the amount spent on fair trade coffee and bananas in Britain, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium and Sweden.
It is clear that fair trade coffee sales grew in all five European countries from 1999 to 2004, but that fair trade bananas sales grew in only three of those five countries. Overall, the UK spends the highest on both products.
In 1999, Switzerland had the highest fair trade coffee sales, at 3 million units, while fair trade bananas had the highest revenue in the UK, at 15 million units. However, by 2004, Fairtrade coffee sales in the UK had risen to 20 million units, more than three times more than Swiss Fairtrade coffee sales in that year. Funding for fair trade bananas in Britain and Switzerland also increased significantly in 2004, with revenues rising by 32 million and 4.5 million, respectively.
The two fair trade products sold much lower in Denmark, Belgium and Sweden. Fair trade coffee sales have all increased slightly, but all three countries have maintained revenues of two million units or less over the past two years. Finally, it is noteworthy that in Belgium and Sweden, the money spent on fair trade bananas has actually declined.。
