My brother, Jack, has a unique gift. He can talk the ears off a statue. From the moment he wakes up, his mouth is always moving, and his words are like a never-ending stream of consciousness.
One morning, as the sun was just beginning to peek over the horizon, Jack started his day with a monologue about the weather. "It's going to be a beautiful day," he said, "but I heard on the news that there's a chance of rain later. I wonder if we should carry an umbrella."
As we sat down for breakfast, Jack continued his commentary. "These pancakes are fluffy, but I think they could use a bit more syrup. Don't you think so?" He asked, not waiting for a response before diving into a discussion about the best syrup brands.
Throughout the day, Jack's chatter was a constant presence. Whether we were walking to school, doing homework, or just hanging out, he had something to say about everything. "Did you see that bird? It's so colorful!" or "I wonder why that car is making that noise."
Even when we were watching a movie, Jack couldn't resist the urge to comment. "I bet the villain is going to turn out to be the butler," he'd say, completely oblivious to the annoyed glances from the rest of the family.
