Have you lost your marbles (弹珠)? Don’t worry! You can buy more from Harli Jordean.
Harli Jordean, the 8-year-old kid, soon to be 9, is just too lovely. He was born in Stoke Newington, London in spring . He started up an Internet marble company where he sells the toys. And recently the 8-year-old student was written into the record books for being the youngest founder(创立者)and chief executive officer (首席执行官) (CEO) of an Internet company.
Harli’s love for marbles got rolling when he was 6. According to Tina, Harli’s mother, he loved the colcorful toys so much that he would go to sleep talking about marbles and the first thing in the morning he did was talking about marbles. And his family started calling him “the Marble King”.
“I like the patterns (样式) and designs of marbles. You can collect hundreds of different colors, shaps, and sizes. It’s fun,” Harli told WR News. “And I really enjoy looking at them, touching them, holding them, studying them and playing them with my friends.”
Harli Jordean’s marble company has a long history. After losing his marbles to an older boy, Harli and his mom turned to the Internet for ordering more marbles. Who doesn’t have a clingy friend? You know, that person who often calls, texts, and e-mails. He often needs your attention, your feedback(反馈), or your help. Worse yet, he often gets antsy when you don’t reply immediately.
Is there ever a moment when you just want to turn off your phone and be alone? But you won’t do that to a friend. Actually there are better ways to deal with a clingy friend. Give Yourself Some Time
If you really need some time for yourself, or you’re just tired of being the listener, just explain to your friend honestly that you want or need some time of your own. Even the most determined(坚决的) friends will understand and give you some space. Of course, those
extremely clingy friends will still call, text, and e-mail. If that happens, just reply gently that you need some time for yourself.
Suggest an Activity for Your Friend
If you’re tired of different get-togethers and outings, then you should advise your friend to do something alone. If you both like sports, you could tell your friend to have a try at a new gym. If your friend likes your suggestion, but insists that you go along, just explain that you’ve already visited the gym. Mention that you enjoy the gym. If you’re lucky, he’ll try it, and like it.
Introduce Your Clingy Friend to Others
Your clingy friend may just be lonely or have trouble meeting new people. If that’s the case, introduce him to others with similar interests. He may just make some new friends.

What you see is what you eat, according to the latest study to confirm that watching TV encourages children to eat more junk food. But the researchers say there may be an easy way to stop unhealthy snacking (吃零食) in front of the television: put healthier food within easy reach.
Leah Lipsky and Ronal Iannotti are the scientists who worked on the study, which was reported this week in the Archives of Pediatrics & Adolescent Medicine. The report says that for every hour of television children watch, they are 8% less likely to eat fruit every day, 18% more likely to eat candy, and 16% more likely to eat fast food.
The reasons for the link (联系) between watching TV and eating junk food aren’t surprising: young people watching TV are exposed to more advertising for unhealthy food-
such as fast food-than commercials (广告) for fresh fruit and vegetables. Studies show that children who watch a lot of TV are more likely to prefer eating things that are high in sugar, salt and fat, even when they aren’t watching TV.
The researchers also found that some children who snacked in front of the television, however, increased the amount of fruit that they ate. It all depended on what was available and within reach. “Of course, the link was nowhere near as strong as that between TV watching and the increased eating of candy, soda and fast food in general,” says Lipsky. “But it suggests that if you have other choices available-and don’t have the unhealthy choices available-then children might be encouraged to eat more fruit.”
Lipsky and Iannotti also recommend that parents restrain the amount of time that children spend in front of a TV or computer-no more than two hours a day for children over two years old.
66. Which of the following is an easy way to stop unhealthy snacking in front of the television?
A. Avoiding watching advertisements.
B. Putting healthy food nearby.
C. Putting unhealthy food nearby.
D. Watching TV with parents.
67. Why do children want to eat unhealthy food in front of the television?
A. Because there are many advertisements for unhealthy food.
B. Because eating unhealthy food is a good way to kill time.
C. Because it’s interesting to eat unhealthy food while watching TV.
D. Because children don’t like healthy food.
68. What can we infer from the underlined sentence in the fourth paragraph?
A. There are few healthy choices for children.
B. Children should be encouraged to eat more healthy food.
C. Children are fond of eating healthy food in front of the TV.
D. Children are more likely to eat unhealthy food than healthy food in front of the TV.
69. What does the underlined word “restrain” in the last paragraph mean?
A. Increase.
B. Control.
C. Allow.
D. Catch.
70. According to the passage, we can infer the author believes ______.
A. nothing can stop children eating junk food
