篇1
My Good Habits and Bad Habits
We all have habits, some good and some bad. Habits are the little things we do regularly, often without even thinking about it. Over the years, I've developed quite a few habits that have become part of my daily routine. Some of these habits are good and help me be a better student and person, while others are bad habits that I really need to work on breaking.
One of my very good habits is that I always try to get enough sleep each night. I know how important it is for kids my age to get 9-11 hours of sleep in order to have enough energy for school and activities the next day. I've made it a habit to go to bed early, usually around 8:30 or 9pm after getting my homework done and getting ready for bed. I almost never stay up late watching TV or playing video games because I know that will make me tired and have trouble concentrating in class the next day. Getting enough sleep helps me wake up feeling rested and ready to take on the new day.
Another really good habit of mine is staying organized with my schoolwork and assignments. I always make sure to write down my homework assignments in my agenda book as soon as they are assigned. Then, as soon as I get home from school, I take out my agenda and get started on my homework right away before doing anything else. I don't let assignments pile up until the last minute. I also keep my backpack, binders, folders and notebooks very organized so I can easily find what I need for each class. Developing strong organizational skills through habits like these will really help me as I get older and have even more responsibilities.
One more good habit I have is trying to eat healthy foods and not too many junk foods or sweets. My parents have taught me good nutrition from an early age. At school, I always try to pick the healthier options in the cafeteria like fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins rather than chips, cookies or candy. At home, I drinkwater or milk rather than sugary sodas or juices. I also make sure to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity or exercise each day to stay healthy. Developing habits like these around eating nutritious foods and being active will give me more energy and help prevent obesity and other health issues as I get older.
While I do have quite a few good habits, I'll be the first to admit that I'm not perfect and I definitely have some bad habits that I need to work on improving. One of my worst habits is procrastinating on big tasks or assignments. Sometimes I just keep putting things off until the very last minute, even if I had weeks to work on it. This leads to me feeling stressed and overwhelmed as the deadline gets closer. I really need to break this habit by working on things in smaller chunks over time rather than waiting until the end. Maybe setting reminders or making a schedule would help motivate me to get started earlier on big projects.
Another bad habit of mine is that I can be a litterbug sometimes. Even though I know I should always use trash cans or recycle bins, sometimes I'm just lazy and I'll throw a candy wrapper or other piece of trash on the ground instead. This is such a bad habit that not only looks sloppy and makes areas dirty, but it's also really harmful to the environment. From now on, I need to make an effort to always hold on to my trash until I can properly dispose of it. That's the type of good citizen habit I should develop.
My final bad habit that I really need to address is the amount of time I spend mindlessly watching YouTube videos or
addictively playing video games. On weekends or over school breaks, I can easily spend hours upon hours watching one YouTube video after another or playing game after game. Not only does this rob me of time better spent on homework, reading, being active outdoors or other productive activities, but it's also just a terribly lazy habit to have. I need to be better about setting time limits for myself on watching YouTube or gaming rather than letting it take over my entire day. Maybe I can reward myself with some screen time after I've completed my other priorities and responsibilities.
Overall, I have a number of ingrained habits, some good and some in need of improvement. The good habits around sleep, organization, nutrition and exercise are serving me well now as a student and will hopefully set me up for continued success in the future. However, the bad habits like procrastination, littering and excessive screen time are not helping me become the best version of myself. Moving forward, I need to reinforce and build upon my good habits while making a conscious effort to improve and ideally break my bad habits. They may seem small, but habits, whether good or bad, can make a big difference over time. It's up to me to choose the habits that will lead me down the right path.

My Good Habits and Bad Habits
We all have habits, some good and some bad. Habits are the little things we do regularly, often without even thinking about them. They can make our lives easier or harder, depending on what those habits are. In this essay, I'll talk about some of my own good habits and bad habits.
One of my good habits is being organized. I always make sure to keep my school supplies neatly arranged in my backpack and my bedroom is usually pretty tidy. I find that when my spaces are clean and everything has a place, I can focus and get my work done more easily. My homework folder is organized by subject, and I have a special pen case just for my colored pens and markers that I like using to make my notes more fun.
Another good habit I have is reading every night before bed. My parents got me into this habit when I was little by reading me bedtime stories. Now I enjoy reading on my own for 20-30 minutes to relax and wind down after a busy day. I've read so many great book series this way over the years, like Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, Narnia, and more. Reading before bed helps my brain shift from homework mode to sleep mode.
I also have a good habit of staying active and exercising. I play soccer three times a week after school, and I really look forward to running around with my friends at practice and games. When the weather is nice, I also try to bike or go for a jog over the weekend. Exercising gives me more energy, helps me concentrate better in class, and keeps me healthy. Sometimes my parents have to push me to go outside when I'm feeling lazy, but I always feel accomplished after getting some exercise.
Those are some of my good habits, but I certainly have some bad habits too that I'm trying to work on. One of my worst habits is procrastinating on big assignments and projects. I'll put them off until the last minute, even if I have weeks to work on them. Then I end up feeling stressed and rushing to get everything done in a panic before the due date. I know I should just work on those big projects a little bit at a time instead of leaving it all for later, but I get distracted or tempted to just relax and play video games instead. Procrastination is definitely a bad habit I need to break.
Another one of my bad habits is that I can be a bit disorganized and forgetful when it comes to chores and responsibilities at home. I'll leave my towel on the floor after my shower, or forget to put my dishes in the dishwasher after eating
a snack. My mom is always reminding me about things I've forgotten to do to help out around the house. I need to be better about cleaning up after myself automatically without being asked.
A final bad habit I'll mention is my tendency to get distracted and waste time mindlessly watching videos or playing games on my tablet. Before I know it, hours have gone by and I've accomplished nothing productive. This habit makes me procrastinate even more on homework and chores. I need to put limits on my recreational screen time and be more intentional about when I use technology just for fun.
Just by being more aware of my habits, both good and bad, I can start working on improving myself. My good habits like being organized, reading, and exercising make me feel accomplished and in control. But my bad habits like procrastinating, forgetting responsibilities, and wasting time make me feel stressed and disappointed in myself.
I'm going to make an effort to keep doing my good habits consistently, and set some goals to slowly break my bad habits. For example, I could start my big homework assignments as soon as I get them so I don't have to cram at the last minute. Or I could put my tablet away in another room while I'm doing
chores so I don't get distracted by it. My parents will be proud of me when they see me taking more responsibility.
Good habits may be hard to start, but once you get going they become easier and more automatic. And getting rid of bad habits takes discipline and commitment. But putting in the hard work is worth it because good habits make you feel good about yourself and accomplish your goals. I'm determined to keep building my good habits and breaking my bad ones, one day at a time.

My Good Habits and Bad Habits
We all have habits, don't we? Some habits are good for us, while others are not so good. Today, I'm going to share some of my good habits and bad habits with you.
Let's start with the good habits first. One of my best habits is reading books every night before bed. I've loved reading ever since I was a little kid. Getting lost in a good book is one of my favorite ways to relax and wind down after a long day at school. My mom and dad really encouraged my reading habit by getting me lots of books and letting me stay up a little past my bedtime if I was in the middle of a great story. Reading has definitely
helped me become a better student by expanding my vocabulary and improving my comprehension skills.
Another good habit I have is staying active and exercising regularly. I play soccer every week, and also enjoy riding my bike, going for hikes, and swimming in the summer. Staying physically fit makes me feel healthier and more energetic overall. Exercise is also a great way for me to clear my mind when I'm feeling stressed about school or other things going on in my life. I feel very fortunate that my parents value an active lifestyle and have supported my interests in sports and outdoor activities from a young age.
One more good habit I'll mention is trying to eat a balanced diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables. I have to admit, there are times when I crave junk food like candy, chips, and soda. But for the most part, I do pretty well with making healthy food choices. My mom and dad have taught me about nutrition and why it's important to limit things like added sugars and saturated fats. I always feel better when I'm eating nutritious meals and snacks.
Those are some of my good habits, but I also have some bad habits that I should probably work on. My biggest bad habit is probably procrastinating on schoolwork, chores, and other tasks.
I tend to put things off until the last minute, which just leads to me feeling stressed and overwhelmed. I know I need to get better about managing my time and not leaving everything until night before it's due. Procrastination is definitely a habit I've got to break.
Another bad habit of mine is spending too much time on my phone and digital devices. I enjoy things like social media, YouTube, and gaming. But there are times when I get carried away and waste hours mindlessly scrolling or playing games. This excessive screen time can negatively impact my sleep, productivity on schoolwork, and ability to stay focused. It's something I am trying to cut back on, but old habits are hard to break!
A final bad habit would be my tendency to leave a mess and not clean up after myself as well as I should. My room is a disaster area a lot of the time, with clothes strewn everywhere and my bed unmade. When I'm doing homework, I tend to leave papers, pencils, and books scattered all over. I really need to get into the habit of being more organized and taking time to tidy up. Having a clean, clutter-free space would help me feel more relaxed and in control.
Those are some of the key habits – both good and bad – that I can identify in my life currently. All of us are works in progress when it comes to self-improvement. I'm going to keep working on maintaining and building my good habits while making an effort to break the bad ones that are holding me back. Baby steps are the key! I know that if I keep trying my best, I can become the best version of myself. What are some of your good and bad habits? I'd love to hear about them!。
