Unit 4 Road safety (Checkout time & Ticking time)
一、教学目标:
1. 能结合语境,准确运用must, mustn’t, can, can’t.
2. 能正确表达句子中的重音。
3.准确运用含有must, mustn’t 的句型,谈论班级规则等,并尝试写一写,制作成海报。
4.进一步强化规则意识,做一个懂规则,守规则的人。
二、教学重点:

三、教学难点:
含有must, mustn’t 的句型的准确表达及正确运用。
四、学情分析:
本单元的教学内容“行路安全”这一话题贴合学生的生活实际,也是非常重要的一个内容,具有教育性和时代性。
学生对过马路的交通规则、红绿等的具体含义以及车辆的行驶规则已有一定的知识经验基础。
本课所重点理解并运用情态动词must及其否定形式mustn’t的用法,可以结合学生已学知识can/should等情态动词来进行关于规定和规则的表达。
本班大部分学生学习积极性较高,思维比较活跃,也擅于表达,但也有一部分学生学习态度不够端正,在学习中有畏难情绪,还有一部分学生善于书面表达但羞于口头表达,教师将设置一些小组合作活动,使得每一位学生都有参与课堂学习、思考和表达的机会,通过不同难度系数的活动,使学生能进行较为准确的综合语言的输出,以此提升学生的综合语言运用能力。

Step 1 Lead-in
1.Greetings
2.Show the learning aims.
Step 2 Presentation
1. Play a game: Brain Storm(30-Second Non-Stop Talking)
Boys PK Girls: How can we cross the road safely? We must… We mustn’t …
Say a chant: Talk about the rules on the road.
Ticking time: I know what I must and must not do on the road.
2. Read and circle.
T: What rules do they need to observe? Please read and circle.
Check the answers.

T: The first picture, which pair wants to try?
S1: Can I watch TV?
S2: No, you can ’t . You must go to bed.
T: Can you watch TV every day?
S: No, we can ’t . We can watch TV at weekends. Discuss the differences between must and can . (must 表示说话人必须、一定要做某事,有很强的语气。
Can 表示有能力或允许做某事。
) T :When we give advice to others, we should pay attention to our tones. 当我们给他人建议时,应注意语音语调。

Ticking time: I know that I need to read some words in a sentence more loudly.
3.Writing
T:When we ’re at home, we should follow some rules. When we go to school, in order to keep safe on the road, we should follow the traffic rules. When we are at school ,we should also follow the classroom rules, right?
Match and say:
1) T: What are they doing ?
S: They ’re talking to each other.
T: What do you want to say to them?
S: You must keep quiet./ You mustn
’t talk to each other. / You must listen to the teacher.
2)T: How about other students? Which class rules are the students breaking? Write the numbers in the circles in pairs.
Think and write.
1) T: I think classroom rules are important for us. So let’s find out our class rules.
First, discuss in groups. Then, write down the rules on the paper. (每位学生写出一条自己觉得最重要的班规。
)Please complete the poster with “must” and “must not”.
Ss: Try to write down the answers.
2) Check the answers.
S1:You mustn’t run in the classroom.
T: It’s easy to bump into someone(撞到别人).
(教师在学生回答的过程中,注意追问和拓展。
)
3) Let the Ss read their classroom rules together.
Take an oath: This is our classroom rules. I will abide by them.
Ticking time:I can use “must” and “must not”.
4. Talk about the rules in different places.
T: We have rules on the road, in the classroom. Where else do we have rules?
Ss: We have rules in the library/ in the park…
Get the Ss try to say like this: We mustn’t walk on the grass in the park.
2) Show the students some pictures about impolite behaviors.
T:When you are in public places, Please follow the rules, to be a polite student.
3)Make posters.
To keep our life more beautiful, we need rules. For example, the park rules, the bank rules , the hospital rules , the library rules, family rules and so on. Choose one, Make a poster in your team.
