VI. Teaching procedures.
Step1. Greetings and lead-in.
1. Greet the students as usual.
2. Talk about a question: When you get home, what will you do first?
Step 2. Listening.
1. Go through the words in the box and the three sentences. Ask them what they will listen.
2. Play the tape for students to listen and choose the correct answers.
3. Ask students to compare answers with a partner. Then invite several students to show their answers and check together.
4. Play it again for them to check the answer.
5. Go through the six sentences in Act2. Play it for the third time for them to check the true sentences.
Step 3. Listening and reading.
1. Play the tape for the students to listen and answer the questions.
Q1: What’s Tony doing now?
Q2: Has Tony done his homework?
2. Ask students to work in pairs to discuss what the problem is between Tony and his father.
3. Ask them to read the dialogue carefully and then choose the correct answer in Act
4.
4. Ask students to read the passage in roles.
