1.1.1.Great changes around me
In the past few years, great changes have taken place（发生）around me.
The roads used to（过去常常做某事+V原）be narrow and crowded.The houses were old and small.The air wasn't fresh enough（注意adj和enough的顺序）.Sometimes there was terrible smell.The river was polluted badly and there was rubbish in it.
Nowadays,the road are wide and clean. It's really convenient for people to go out.（It’s adj. of/for sb. to do）We can choose different kinds of transportation to go anywhere. Lots of tall buildings have been built in the city. Most of us have moved to beautiful big houses. The sky is beautiful and the cloud is white. The birds are singing happily. My hometown looks like a big garden with green trees,grass and colorful flowers. Our country is rich and strong. We are living a happy life.
As time goes on(随着时间流逝),I'm sure that our life will become better and better（越来越……：比较级+and+比较级）.

1.2.1.A happy day
Last Sunday, Betty and I had a very good time（玩得愉快）in Beihai Park.
In the morning, we got up early and arrived at（到达，at+小地点，in+大地点）the park by subway soon.There were lots of people playing sports.（there be+名词+Ving）考点We climbed the mountain happily and there are so beautiful flowers and monkeys. 1.5.1.Good Behavior
Hello, everyone.My name is Lee.
Nowadays, people care more about（关心）our grades.In fact（事实上）, good behavior is as important as （as+adj/adv原级+as：和……一样）good grades. However, we can hear some students talk loudly on the bus. What’s worse, some students smoke in public places. These may make others uncomfortable and smoking is harmful to people's health. To be better students, we should think of others and keep the voice down(可替换reduce your voice) in public. And we should follow the traffic rules to make sure we are safe. Besides, we should try to be honest and we shouldn't lie to others.
Let’s work together and take action from now on（从现在开始）. I believe we’ll be better students as long as（只要）we behave ourselves.

1.6.1.A one-day volunteer job
As the middle school students, we should be thankful to people who helped us after the exam. Our school plans to organize an activity called（被动作定语后置）“enter the neighborhood and do a one-day volunteer job” on July 25th.
Please attention! We'll meet at the school gate at half past eight in the morning. Please get there on time（按时）and don't be late. My name is Li Jun. Thanks to the government, my family has changed a lot in the last two years. Many family used to be very poor and we lived in an old and broken house.
What was worse（更糟糕的是）, my mother wasn't in good health and she often fell ill. I was worried about her all the time（一直，总是）, so my grades dropped. However,with the help of（在……的帮助下）the government, we have moved to a new house.
