中英诗歌中秋天的意象探究摘要本文通过对中英诗歌中“秋”诗意象的分析发现,中国诗人喜欢“悲秋”,而英国诗人则倾向于歌颂秋的收获,但是二者同样表现出一定的联系。

本文认为,两者之间的这种差别和联系主要是由于自然社会环境的不同,以及东西方文化的差异造成的。

中国诗歌所表达的意象常常是阴柔委婉,消极应对世事纷繁;而英国诗歌却截然相反,英国诗人大多采用阳刚明快的写作手法来表达自己对真与美的追求。

这两种对诗歌意象的表达方法的不同主要是因为中英两国两种不同的人生哲学对于文学创作的影响导致的,同时也从侧面体现了两个国家知识分子在各自时期不同的思想走向。

本文的目的也就是通过对中英两国的诗歌进行对比,找出两者之间的差别,并试图得出初步的解释与结论。

文章所选用的英国诗歌的例子主要集中于英国浪漫主义诗歌作品,因为它在英国的诗歌发展史上起到了举足轻重的作用;而在中国诗歌的例子选取上,主要集中于唐诗、宋词,因为唐诗、宋词是中国诗歌发展的巅峰。

这样一来,诗就成了“排解感情纠葛的特效药”(闻一多)。

当他们满怀雄心壮志却因羁绊未能直抒胸臆、无法出入仕途、贡献自己的力量时,这种抑郁不得志的情感便会因自然出发。

秋之何为悲秋,皆因融入了诗人伟大抱负无法实现的抑郁的缘故。

悲秋作品不仅承载了古代诗人伟大抱负无法实现的哀愁,而且也反映了一个民族的感伤世界。

在人的一生当中,生与死是一个永恒的主题,而生死的尖锐冲突,以及对大限的优患和惶恐也借助“悲秋”这种诗歌形式来表达。

在中国传统农耕生活的习俗和观念下,诗歌中的秋被赋予强烈的时间意识和生死意味,使得人们一谈到秋就必然联想到死亡,这也就导致了中国古代诗人触秋就会“悲”。

他们通过虔诚地向上帝忏悔,来救赎自己罪恶的心灵,希望能够在死后,灵魂进入美好的天国,进而得到永生,在这种宗教的影响下,西方人也就不具备中国诗人那种忧患意识和大起大落、抑郁之情。

与中国诗人不同的是,英美知识分子和诗人并没有形成一个固定的阶层,大多也没有经历过宦海的沉浮。

他们以写诗或文学创作作为职业,并从自己的作品中获得报酬,如沃尔特?司各特就曾靠写作来偿还自己的债务。

此外,西方世界的诗人们在经济和政治上的独立决定了他们的作品更多地具有社会价值和经济价值,而文学的、社会的和经济的因素也要求他们的作品更多地具有社会功能,对艺术、社会、人生进行理性的思辨和探讨,而不能仅仅只是诗人自己人生经验的宣泄。

无论如何,把握好中英诗歌在处理感觉与意象关系上的相同点与不同点,对深入透视中英诗歌的深刻内涵和内在情感将起着十分重要的作用。

但如果我们试图来评判中英诗歌谁比谁更胜一筹则是没有丝毫意义的,因为两种诗歌的风格各有其特色,惟有相互借鉴,取长补短,才能够推动当代诗歌的进一步发展。
