(课本第31页)watch意为“观看;注视”,指长时间看某一活动的场面,如:看电视、看比赛、赏月、看星星等。
如:Don't stay up late to watch the World Cup. It's bad for your health.别熬夜看世界杯,对你的健康不好。
【辨析】look和see也意为“看”。
look强调看的动作,不注重结果,是不及物动词,带宾语时加at。
see强调看的结果,是及物动词,可直接加宾语。
read意为“看;读”,其宾语常是“书、报、杂志”等。
如:①Please look at that lovely boy with a blue hat!请看那戴着蓝帽子的可爱男孩!②How many birds can you see in the tree?你能看见树上有几只鸟?③Why not read some books?为什么不看点书呢?2.talk on the phone打电话(课本第31页)talk on the phone意为“打电话”。
注意此处的介词为on,而不是in。
talk的常见短语:talk to[和某人讲话(强调一方讲,一方听)], talk with[和……谈话(强调两者都在说)], talk about[谈论(后接谈论的内容)]。
如:①The girl is easy to talk wit h.那个女孩很容易交谈。
②I don't want to talk about it anymore.我不想再谈论它了。
3.He is listening to a CD.他正在听一张CD唱片。
(课本第32页)listen to sb./sth.意为“听某人说/听某物”。
指“听”的动作,用listen;指“听”的结果,用hear。
如:①Listen! He is listening to music.听!他正在听音乐。
②Can you hear anything?你能听到一些东西吗?4.That sounds good.那听起来很好。
(课本第32页)sound是系动词,意为“听起来”,后接名词或形容词作其表语。
