雅思(ielts)考试作文9分范文及点评雅思考试作文9分例文题目:Children who grow up in families which are short of money are better prepared to dealwith the problems of adult life than children who are brought up by wealthy parents. To what extent do you agree or disagree?范文:Some feel that the children of low income families are better equippedto deal with difficulties posed by the 'real world' when they grow up and they also believe the privileged children of wealthy families are less fit to deal with these difficulties . The implications and veracity of this argument seem self-evident, but in fact require closer examination.( 58words )点评:1+ 1 ' 模式,最后1 句为主题句。

此段的主题句稍微有点特殊,它的确否定了前面所提到的观点,从而表达出了自己的观点,此外还引出了下文。

特别是最后半句:but in fact require closer examination ,感觉是在抛砖引玉。

The popular wisdom is that children of poorer familieslearn early on the value of a buck, and are thus naturallybetter suited to stretching money when times get tough in adulthood. Inversely, the children of wealthy families, thoseborn with a silver spoon in their mouths, are believed to be completely ignorant of the value of money, having had everything provided for them in their youth and oftentimes erroneously expecting the same situation in adulthood. They are believed to be prone to overspending and financialirresponsibility. This belief, though logical, overlooks one key point which is , of course, education. (100words)点评:1 ' +3 模式,第1 句是主题句。

雅思口语9分范文话题:Describe an interesting place you have visited.Answer:Well, I've gotta tell you about this super cool place I visited last year it was a small town called Jiufen in Taiwan. As soon as I got there, I was just blown away by the whole atmosphere. It's like stepping into a time warp. The narrow, winding streets are lined with these old fashioned shops and cafes. There are these red lanterns everywhere, hanging from the rooftops and doorways, giving the place a really warm and inviting glow, like it's straight out of a movie set.The smell in the air was amazing too. You had all these different scents mixing together the smell of freshly made tea from the tea houses, the sweet aroma of traditional Taiwanese snacks like taro balls and pineapple cakes. It was like a foodie paradise. I remember I went into this one little tea house. The owner was this really friendly old lady. She showed me all these different kinds of tea leaves and told me the stories behind each one. It was like a mini tea education session. And the view from the town! Oh my god. You could see the ocean in the distance, with the waves crashing against the shore. It was a really peaceful sight. I sat on a bench overlooking the view for ages, just taking it all in. There were also a lot of artists in Jiufen. You could see them painting on the streets, creating these beautiful works of art inspired by the town itself.I think what made Jiufen so interesting was not just the physical beauty of the place, but also the sense of history and culture that youcould feel everywhere. It was like every corner had a story to tell, and I can't wait to go back there again someday.。

雅思作文9分范文9分考官级雅思大作文范文之幸福如何定义It is no doubt true that the majority of people would like to be happy in their lives. While the personalnature of happiness makes it difficult to describe, there do seem to be some common needs that we all share with regard to experiencing or achieving happiness.Happiness is difficult to define because it means something different to each individual person. Nobody can fully understand or experience another person's feelings, and we all have our own particular passions from which we take pleasure. Some people, for example, derive a sense of satisfaction from earning money or achieving success, whereas for others, health and family are much more important. At the same time, a range of other feelings, from excitement to peacefulness, may be associated with the idea of happiness, and the same person may therefore feel happy in a variety of different ways.Although it seems almost impossible to give a precise definition of happiness, most people would agree that there are some basic preconditions to achieving it. Firstly, it is hard for a person to be happy if he or she does not have a safe place to live and enough food to eat. Our basic survival needs must surely be met before we can lead a pleasant life.Secondly, the greatest joy in life is usually found in shared experiences with family and friends, and it is rare to find a person who is content to live in completeisolation. Other key factors could be individual freedom and a sense of purpose in life.In conclusion, happiness is difficult to define because it is particular to each individual, but I believe that our basic needs for shelter, food and company need to be fulfilled before we can experience it.(292 words, band 9)。

雅思写作9分(1)份雅思写作9分 1范文:It is true that foreign films are more popular in many countries than domestically produced films. There could be several reasons why this is the case, and I believe that governments should promote local film-making by subsidising the industry. There are various reasons why many people find foreign films more enjoyable than the films produced in their own countries. Firstly, the established film industries in certain countries have huge budgets for action, special effects and to shoot scenes in spectacular locations. Hollywood blockbusters like ‘Avatar’ or the James Bond films are examples of such productions and the global appeal that they have. Another reason why these big-budget films are so successful is that they often star the most famous actors and actresses, and they are made by the most plished producers and directors. The poor quality, low-budget filmmaking in many countries suffers in parison. In my view, governments should support local film industries financially. In every country, there may be talented __ film-makers who just need to be given the opportunity to prove themselves. To pete with big-budget productions from overseas, these people need money to pay for film crews, actors and a host of other costs related to producing high-quality films. If governments did help with these costs, they would see an increase in employment in the film industry, e from film sales, and perhaps even a rise in tourist numbers. New Zealand, for example, has seen an increase in tourism related to the 'Lord of the Rings' films, which were partly funded by government subsidies. In conclusion, I believe that increased financial support could help to raise the quality of locally made films and allow them to pete with the foreign productions that currently dominate the market.(295 words, band 9)。

剑桥雅思9的作文解析

剑桥雅思9的作文解析I can provide a detailed analysis of the Cambridge IELTS 9 essay, but I cannot pretend to be emotional or human-like in my response. I can, however, provide a comprehensive breakdown of the essay from multiple perspectives, as well as offer insights into the structure, language, and content of the essay. The essay in Cambridge IELTS 9 is titled 'The Threat of Nuclear Weapons Maintains World Peace.' The prompt asks the test-taker to discuss the extent to which they agree or disagree with this statement. The essay presents two opposing viewpoints on the issue, with the first viewpoint arguing that the threat of nuclear weapons does indeed maintain world peace, while the second viewpoint argues that the threat of nuclear weapons does not maintain peace and instead poses a significant danger to global security. The first viewpoint argues that the threat of nuclear weapons serves as a deterrent to potential aggressors, thereby preventing large-scale conflicts and maintaining global stability. This argument is supported by historical examples such as the Cold War, where the presence of nuclear weapons prevented direct confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union. Additionally, proponents of this viewpoint argue that nuclear deterrence has prevented major conflicts between nuclear-armed states since the end of World War II.On the other hand, the second viewpoint contends that the threat of nuclear weapons does not maintain peace and instead increases the risk of catastrophic conflict. This argument is based on the potential for accidental or unauthorized use of nuclear weapons, as well as the possibility of nuclear proliferation tonon-state actors or unstable regimes. Furthermore, opponents of the idea that nuclear weapons maintain peace argue that the existence of these weapons perpetuates a state of fear and insecurity, rather than genuine stability. In conclusion, the essay presents a balanced and nuanced discussion of the statement 'The Threat of Nuclear Weapons Maintains World Peace.' It effectivelyexplores the complexities of this issue by presenting two contrasting viewpoints and supporting each with relevant examples and arguments. The essay also demonstrates a high level of language proficiency and critical thinking skills, making it a valuable resource for IELTS test-takers seeking to improve their writing abilities.Overall, the essay in Cambridge IELTS 9 provides a thought-provoking exploration of the role of nuclear weapons in maintaining global peace. It effectively presents two opposing viewpoints on the issue and supports each with compelling arguments and examples. The essay also showcases strong language proficiency and critical thinking skills, making it a valuable resource for IELTS test-takers looking to enhance their writing abilities.。

I was walking along one of the main shopping streets in the city centre, when a large window displaying all sorts ofmusical instruments caught my eye. Out of curiosity, I decided to go in and have a look around. The person I ended up speaking to was a shop assistant on the second floor, in the area of the shop dedicated to acoustic guit ars. I hadn’t intended to speak to anyone, but the assistant approached me in a friendly way and asked whether I had any questions.I explained to the assistant that I hadn’t played the guitar for years, but that I wondered what the differences were between the various acoustic guitars on show. He talked to me about the different makes and models, whether they were factory or hand made, the woods and varnishes used, the variation in sound quality, and of course the price range.I found the conversation fascinating because the shop assistant was so knowledgeable. It was obvious that he had a passion for the guitar, and he didn’t mind talking to me even though I had made it clear that I didn’t intend to buy anything. He even picked up and played three or four of the instruments to demonstrate the differences in their sound.。

雅思写作9分范文Title: Effects of Social Media on SocietyIntroductionIn the past decade, the rise of social media platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, has revolutionized the way people communicate and interact. While social media has undoubtedly brought numerous benefits, it has also triggered significant changes in society. This essay will explore the effects of social media, both positive and negative, on various aspects of human life and society.Body1. Communication and ConnectivityOne of the most obvious benefits of social media is its ability to connect people from different parts of the world. Social media platforms allow individuals to communicate instantaneously and easily share thoughts, ideas, and information. Friends and family members living in different countries can now stay connected, which facilitates greater social cohesion. It also leads to the formation of global communities where people with common interests can connect and collaborate. Furthermore, social media platforms provide a platform for marginalized groups to voice their opinions and find support.2. Information Sharing and AwarenessSocial media platforms have become key sources of news and information for many people. Traditional media outlets are no longer the sole gatekeepers of information. Social media allows individuals to share news, articles, and opinions, thereby expanding the diversity of information available. Moreover, social media has proven to be a powerful tool for raising awareness about important social and humanitarian issues. Movements like#BlackLivesMatter and #MeToo gained momentum on social media, shedding light on systemic injustices and mobilizing global support.3. Business and Career OpportunitiesBusinesses have recognized the potential of social media as a marketing tool. Social media platforms provide a cost-effective way of reaching millions of potential customers. Companies can now directly engage with their target audience, gather customer feedback, and build brand recognition. Additionally, social media has opened up new career opportunities in fields like social media management, content creation, and influencer marketing. Professionals can showcase their skills and expertise, connect with industry peers, and find job opportunities through networking on social media.4. Mental Health and Well-beingThough social media has its advantages, it also poses certain risks to mental health. The constant exposure to carefully curated images, posts, and updates on social media can lead to feelings of inadequacy and low self-esteem. Comparison with peers andunrealistic beauty standards portrayed on social media platforms can contribute to anxiety and depression. Furthermore, excessive use of social media has been linked to sleep disturbances, as individuals may spend late hours scrolling through their feeds. It is important to strike a balance and engage in healthy social media habits to protect mental well-being.5. Privacy and Security ConcernsThe widespread use of social media has raised serious concerns regarding privacy and security. Personal data shared on social media platforms is susceptible to exploitation by third parties for targeted advertising or even identity theft. Its positive impacts on communication, connectivity, access to information, and business opportunities cannot be denied. However, it is crucial to address the negative effects, such as mental health concerns and privacy issues. Society must navigate social media's benefits and limitations to ensure a healthy and balanced use of these powerful platforms. It is essential for individuals, as well as social media companies, to takeresponsibility for their actions and actively work towards harnessing the potential of social media for the greater good.。

雅思写作9分范文The globalization has brought about numerous changes in our lives, and one of the most significant consequences has been the increasing popularity of international travel. While some people argue that this trend is detrimental to the environment, I believe that it has more positive impacts on economies, cultural understanding, and personal growth.Firstly, international travel contributes to the economic development of countries. When tourists from abroad visit a destination, they bring in foreign currency and inject money into the local economy. They spend on accommodation, food, transportation, and other local products, stimulating various sectors and creating job opportunities. For example, studies have shown that the tourism industry in Thailand is a major contributor to the country's GDP and provides employment for a significant percentage of the population. Thus, international travel can significantly boost a country's economy and help in its development.Secondly, travel promotes cultural understanding and appreciation. When people visit different countries and experience different cultures, they become more tolerant and open-minded. They learn to appreciate and respect different customs, traditions, and ways of life. This can lead to a greater acceptance of diversity and harmony among nations. Additionally, travelers bring their own cultures with them, contributing to cultural exchanges and deepening the understanding of others. This mutual understanding can foster peaceful relations among countries and lead to a more interconnected global community.Lastly, international travel allows individuals to grow personally. When people step out of their comfort zones and immerse themselves in different environments, they gain valuable life experiences. They become more independent, adaptable, and confident. They develop the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of people and learn to solve problems in unfamiliar situations. These personal growth experiences can shape individuals into more well-rounded and globally aware citizens. In conclusion, despite concerns about the environmental impact, international travel has undeniable positive effects on economies, cultural understanding, and personal growth. It has the potential to boost local economies, promote cultural exchange, and contribute to personal development. Therefore, I believe that international travel should be encouraged and seen as a valuable experience in our increasingly globalized world.。

剑桥雅思写作9分范文如下:It is a contentious issue whether the minimum legal age for operating motor vehicles should be raised as a means of improving road safety. While some argue that this measure could lead to fewer accidents, others contend that it might not effectively address the root causes of traffic incidents. I largely side with the latter perspective, as I believe that maturity and responsible behavior are more crucial factors than age in ensuring safe driving practices.Firstly, it must be acknowledged that younger drivers are often involved in a higher proportion of accidents due to their relative inexperience and risk-taking tendencies. Raising the legal driving age could theoretically reduce the number of these high-risk drivers on the roads. However, simply increasing the age limit does not guarantee that older drivers will be inherently safer or more responsible. Maturity levels vary significantly among individuals, and some may still lack the judgment or restraint necessary for safe driving, regardless of their age. Moreover, focusing solely on age ignores other critical factors that contribute to traffic accidents. For instance, distracted driving, often linked to the use of mobile phones while behind the wheel, is a significant cause of collisions. This issue transcends age boundaries, and thus, implementing stricter laws against distractions and improving driver education could have a more substantial impact on road safety.Furthermore, it is essential to consider the potential consequences of raising the minimum legal driving age. It could limit opportunities for young people to gain valuable experience at an earlier age, which might result in them becoming safer, more skilled drivers in the long run. Additionally, it could impose challenges on those who rely on vehicles for work or access to essential services, particularly in areas with limited public transportation options. In conclusion, while increasing the minimum legal age for driving might lead to some improvements in road safety, it is not a panacea for the problem. A more comprehensive approach that emphasizes better driver education, stricter enforcement of existing traffic laws, and measures to promote responsible driving behaviors would likelyyield more effective results. Therefore, I maintain that focusing on enhancing the overall quality of driving culture and practices is a more sensible strategy for achieving greater road safety than merely adjusting the age requirements.。

雅思写作9分范文:education only for employment? You should spend about 40 minutes on this task. Some people think the university education is to prepare students for employment, others think it has other functions. Discuss and say what the other functions are?You should write at least 250 words. You should use your own ideas of knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence. Some people think the university education is to prepare students for employment. While we admit that preparation for employment is an important function of education, it is not the only one. We should see this issue with an all-sided view. In the perspective of society, education is for improvement. Students make use of what they have learned to create new theories and tools. This is the way in which our human society develops. And also, through education, government can teach people how to be appropriate citizens, thus in this way, people’s moralities and behaviors are constrained in a value system and the social stability can be maintained. In the perspective of individuals, education can enrich personal lives. Through education, we can explore different cultures and customs. Thus in this way education can open our eyes and broaden our mind. And education can also meet interests of each student. While of course, all the functions mentioned above haveone common prerequisite: one can make a living in the first place. For this society is practical, many university students have studied for four years, but their ability to deal with practical things is too low to be acceptable. So education should provide the basic general knowledge to university students, so that they can be get employed and make a living. And if a nation wants to develop and to compete with other nations, it needs skilled workers to support economic development and to maintain the people creative, which can only be achieved through education. So it has some sense to realize that students’preparation for employment is the function of education, but it has far more function which should not be neglected. (280 words) 雅思写作9分范文:old peopleYou should spend about 40 minutes on this task.Should old people stay at home or be placed in nursing homes? You should write at least 250 words. You should use your own ideas of knowledge and experience and support your arguments with examples and relevant evidence.Parents have devoted all their lives and energy to their children and when they are old, it is time for their children to repay their care and love. Therefore, it seems that it should be the children’s responsibility to take good care of their parents in their later years. However, I believe that a better way of ensuring that aged parents lead a happy and healthy life is to put them in nursing homes.Living in nursing homes, they have more opportunities to communicate with their peers. Keeping each other’s company, they don’t feel lonely and can do a great deal of things together, such as morning exercise, playing games, and exchanging memories and stories from their past. On the other hand, if they live at home, they are often left alone when their children and grandchildren are away working or studying. In such retirement homes, aging people can receive intensive medical care from professional doctors. Besides, they can receive a proper diet prepared by dieticians to meet their individual requirements. This is especially good for those old people in poor health. Moreover, they could have regular medical check-ups so that any disease could be diagnosed in its early stage. What is the most beneficial is that if any disease strikes them, medical services are immediately available.Indeed, there are also benefits for children’s work and study when nursing homes take over the task of caring for the elderly. Children, free from care, can devote themselves to work or study and achieve more success.Since nursing homes benefits seniors and other family members so much, I believe that old people should be sent to nursing homes. (276 words)雅思写作9分范文:children with povertyChildren who are brought up in families which have not great amount of money are better prepared to deal with the problems of adult life than children are brought up by wealthy parents. Do you agree or disagree?Among the factors that influence a child’s development, family financial background is a critical one. Empirically kids from rich families, after entering adulthood, deal with problemsdifferently from those from less well-off households. Generally the latter is more capable of problem-solving.Lack of wealth in a family usually helps children to become independent and responsible individuals. Rich kids have more toys. If a toy truck gets broken, parents would buy their children another fancier, more expensive one. Rich kids go the best school in the neighborhood. On the contrary, children from an ordinary family have to take good care of their toys. Their parents are often busy with work. So children have chances to make many of their own decisions. Many kids babysit younger brothers or sisters or even take small part-time jobs to help the family. Such differences in the upbringing often tough them for adult life.Children from less affluent families learn about competition early in life. For example, they go to a good school only because they have excellent grades, not because daddy donates a building for the school. Hard work and constant trying are the only way to change their life. So they fight to be a winner. But rich kids are so over-protected by their families that they hardly know the harsh world until they leave college and start to work. There are more successful entrepreneurs, actors, doctors, and lawyers from poor families than from rich ones. Poor kids know how to survive in the big wild world better than their rich friends. But there are cases in which children from rich families have grown up to be very smart, accomplished individuals. Many of them even start businesses independent from their families. But still most of them know more about having fun than about being a good working professional. To sum up, less privileged family background generally enables children to be more responsible and independent. Poor kids value hard work more, handle competition better than rich kids, and cope with problems better after becoming adults.这篇雅思写作范文的写作思路:〔文章〕着重商量贫富不同家庭出身的孩子在成年以后解决问题能力也不同,一般家庭出身的孩子此方面能力更强。

One major reason to draw people away from cinema is the evolution of home entertainment. They sprung up everywherearound resi dential areas and had won many people’s favor.Though cinema might be facing crucial challenge by other forms of entertainment, it is too reckless to spell its end. The silver screen still attracts people as a unique experience. Going to cinema is more a form of social activities, therefore, many people still prefer such opportunities, not only to see a brilliant movie, but have a good time with families or friends as well. Many major Cineplex have already launched diverse family coupons as a marketing gesture. This can show how cinema can adopt and adapt in this changing environment.Cinemas also consolidate its status by always providing the latest movie. With most producing companies tend to release DVD a while after the movie, hence, for many movie fanatic, cinema is always their first choice. The Twilight 2 movie can make such a killing is just the perfect way to show the advantages of cinema over DVD.In conclusion, I agree cinemas are facing extreme competition in modern time. However, I do not think i t would be bleached away in people’s life. Being aware of the challenge, cinemas can also surprise us with new elements.o what extent do you agree or disagree?Nowadays, there are lots of advertisements on television or on the streets. Som people think that the advertsing boosts the sales of goods and it encourages people to buy things unnecessarily. This arguments maybe true in my country, many advertising companies produce advertisements with famous and popular actors or singers. People, especially youngsters, buy goods that their favourite singer advertise, although they do not really need the products. Also, on the television screen, a product may look gorgeous and good quality. As a result of it, people often buy goods without enough consideration. Consumers may not actually need it but they buy goods impulsively soon after they watch the advertising. Furthermore, as many customers buy a particular product due to its advertising campaign, the other people may be affected by the trend, even if the product is not of the real needs of the society. On the other hand, there are vairous aspects against these arguments. Moreover, it is people's choice to make a decision to buy goods. Advertising may be not a cause of customers' buying habits. Individuals have their own spending habits. If they have got enough disposable income, then the right to make a decision is given to them. No one actually can judge whether the goods sold are the real needs of the society or not.In addition, as there should be a limited amount of disposable income consumers are able to spend, people try to allocate their budgets. They cannot be simply swayed by those advertisements. In conclsuion, as customers have their own strong opinions and standad of good quality goods, it is better to leave them to make their own decisionin buy goods. It is fairly difficult to say everyone is swayed by advertising and buy good impulsively. However, in sensitive area of businesses such as toy industries, it may be necessary to band advertising to those children as children have not got enough ability to control themselves or to know what they need.(332words)This is an answer written by a candidate who achieved a Band 7.5 score. Here is the examiner's comment:The way in which the candidate has responded to the task is a strong point of this script. It is a well-developed answer that addresses the issues relevantly and at length. The writer introduces the topic, examines both sides of the argument and expresses a clear position. Points are well-argued and supported with examples. The answer is well-organised and the message is easy to follow with clear paragraphing and linking of ideas. There are too many erros in cohesion, however, and some linkers are not always fully appropriate, so this limits the rating for this criterion.A wide range of vocabulary is used accurately and precisely, in spite of one or two awkward expressions and some rare errors. Similarly, a sophisticated range of structures is used but there are too many minor errors and omissions (such as in the use of prepositions and basic subjedct/verb agreement) to reach Band 8. Nevertheless these mistakes do not reduce the clarity of the answer and overall a wide range of languageis used with a high level of proficiency.A rise in the world’s population is having serious, negative effects on the environment. Some scientists believe that the only way to solve the problem is to set up a colony on the Moon. Others argue that the cost would be far too great and other solutions should be sought. What is your opinion? The environment is, of course, under serious threat, but the extent to which population growth is responsible may not be as great as some people claim. In fact there are many other factors such as the growth in big cities, pollution from traffic and manufacturing, and the destruction of rainforest that probably play a bigger role. It is questionable, therefore, how far a colony on the Moon would help solve the problem. One of the most serious threats to the global ecosystem is the destruction of the rainforests with an area the size of Europe disappearing every year. And this is largely due to large companies in their pursuit of profit. Indeed, whilst international logging companies claim to use on average 10 percent of the species of trees that make up the rainforest, that 10 percent of species constitute about 90 percent of the volume.Naturally, if the world’s population was not as large, the demand for wood would be considerably reduced, which would support setting up a colony on the Moon. But even if the colony was set up how many people inreality, would relocate? Even if the number ran into tens of thousands the actual effect on the world’s population would be minimal. Indeed, we only need to consider how many people were killed during the two world wars, which ran into millions, to support this claim. Instead, the cost should be transferred into the development of sustainable economies.Take, for instance, the growth of big cities that consume land at an enormous rate, and that rely on transport and essential services that devastate the environment. If people were to revert to living in small semi self-contained communities, many of the problems experienced by big cities could be avoided. It would even be beneficial for the economy because it would promote the development of small, family run businesses. At the end of the day, to claim that setting up a colony on the Moon would help to solve the issue of environmental damage is to close our eyes to the causes of the damage. In short, it could potentially turn out to be a very costly exercise with few real benefits.

Children who grow up in fami1ies which are short of money are better prepared to deal with the problems of adul t life than chi ldre n who are brought up by weal thy parents・ To what extcnt do you agree or disagree? Some feel that the children of low income fami 1 ies are better equipped to deal with difficulties posed by the "real world J when they grow up and they al so believe theprivileged children of wealthy families are less fit to deal with these difficulties . The implications and veracity of this argument seem self-evident, but in fact require closer examination. ( 58words )点评:1+1'模式,最后1句为主题句。

此段的主题句稍微有点特殊,它的确否定了前面所提到的观点,从而表达岀了自己的观点,此外还引出了下文。

特别是最后半句:but in fact require closer examination ,感觉是在抛砖引玉。

The popular wisdom is that chi ldren of poorer fami 1 ies learn early on the value of a buck, and are thus naturally better suited to stretchi ng moneywhen times get tough in adu It hood. Inversely, the children of wealthy families, thoseborn with a silver spoon in their mouths, are believed to be completely ignorant of the value of money, having had everything provided for them in their youth and oftentimes erroneously expecting the same situation in adulthood. They are believed to be prone to overspending and financial irresponsibil ity・This belief, though logical, overlooks one key point which is , of course, education.

The basis of this argument is , of course, knowing the value of money, and the idea that children of the poor know this, and those of the wealthy do not • Who though, is in a better position to teach their children the value of money; someone ski 1 led in ear ning and keepi ng it, the wealthy pare nt, or some one who can not seem to acquire it, the poor pare nt? Both wealthy and poor children are equally likely to acquire an education in money, whether it is formal, or in the school of hard knocks. Conversely, both children are as likely to ignore this education.(101words)点评:这段的内容感觉写得不够直接,还是在分析对方观点的漏洞! A poor child may believe that one can get along, if not as easily, without wealth・ A weal thy child may be wel 1 trained by a parent steeped in the knowledge of money management; the key to developing this skill is education.点评:最后一段有点像是提出解决这个问题的办法,即education.它没有像传统的结尾段那样简单的重申自己的观点。

总结之总结:全文的观点有待揣摩,作者很明显是不赞成题目的说法,即Chi ldren who grow up in fami 1 ies which are short of money are better prepared to deal with the problems of adul t 1 ife than chi ldren who are brought up by wealthy parents. 但是作者自己是更偏向穷人家的孩子呢,还是富人家的孩子呢?!根据文章来看,作者是中立,他所看重的是他们所接受的教育。

In other words,整篇文章又是一次屮立的写法。

在雅思考试屮,这种写法经常使用,还是非常实用的,大家可以学习一下。

此外,文章中有很多好词好句,特别是长句,值得模仿一下。

老人生活在养老院还是在家好?Aging is both a social and natural issue that has confronted human beings for centuries. Tn the Middle Age (medieval times A. D, 500 to about 1500), alchemists tried in vain to create a kind of catholicon (panacea / cure-all) to work against the process of aging・ Today theaging problem looms more alarmingly. What has disappointed Man most is, unfortunatcly, thathis scientific innovations and inventions have never cured much more than what they killed, despite so-called therapeutics and cl inical medicine spinning faster and faster. Most pragmatical ly, however, man should first address the issue of where the old people should spend their lives. The traditiorial argument is that the old should stay at their homes with their adult chi ldren. This has been the most prevai ] ing practice worl d around. However, nei ther the old nor the children are completely satisfied with this doing. Not only because the old may inflict children cumbersome and formidable burden but also on account of the implacable generation gaps・Although, inevitably, some healthy, wealthy, and wise aged people congruously and harmoniously enjoy the life with children" s families, the number of such old people, according to the latest social statistics, has been less than 2% of the whole old population (from 60 years old to 90). Therefore, the issue should have different, effective approaches. One of the modern practices in most developed countries such as USA is to establ ish numerous comfortable and convenient sanatoriums for the old. This necessitates at least two social contracts. First, the government is willing to appropriate a sum of its revenue for such in st i tut i ons. Seco ndly, each ci tize n whe n young should have contributed significantly to the society enough to qualify himself or herself for such government allowance. Furthermore, such society system wi 11 not be seriously undermined by the shifting, reforming, or even abolishing of the government. These three prerequisites, especially the last ones, unfortunately, do not exist in 90% of the Less Developed Country (LDCs) such as China, India, and so on.Tn conclusion, the old people may 1 ive with their kids and in some special government subsidi zed, old sanatoria- As to where the ol d should dwell is a multidimensional social issue that should be analyzed on the basis of case-by ? case study. Other wise it would bepresumptuous to draw absolute conclusion.广告Perhaps no single social institute has contributed much more significantly than has advertising. Advertising, both the creature and creator, has been shaping and reflecting the life and history of human beings. The relationship between advertising and society has been complex・Advertising, like any coin with two sides, however, has both positive and negative effects on human bein gs.On the one hand, as an economic force, advertising became a dynamic, necessary part of consumer capitali sm, stimulating the buying and sei ling of brand- name goods・ For example, Ads con vin ced publ ic to buy food in tin cans in stead of the traditional cloth bag. So important has adverting become to culture and economy that by now virtually every widely accepted products has been promoted through advertising. Advertising may have exaggerated claims and false promises, but that in no way diminishes its impacts on society・ Advertising made its great contributions by informing people about an endless stream of new products and, in the process, shapping mass behavior and desires—the driving forces in a capitalist consumer eco no my.Nor did advertising ignore serious issues. In the 1960s and 1970s, controversial images of femin ism and minorities helped bring the issues of equal rights and empowerment to the forefront and began to remark the face of advertising. Advertising helped get out of the vote and shaped the debate on environmental issues, alcohol abuse, cigarette smoking, and later, AIDS.On the other hand, advertising has inevitably exerted some detrimental impacts on human civi 1 ization. For example, ads are frequently broadcast during exciting movies on TV programs. This distracts audiences, interest. Tn addition, advertising may go against accepted moral norms. Therefore, on the strength of these reasons, advertisement has both pros and cons. This is logical. What is to be done is to put the advert isi ng on its legal orb it andovercome al 1 the drawbacks.撒谎Li e, whose inte nt ion is to deceive, a.1 though di ff erent from fraudulence, i s universally condemned・ In the creed of each religion world around, to tell lie is regarded as devil rather than divine. The mundane moral norms, ethic, yardsticks, aesthetical, axiom, and eve n in dividual" s behavioral gauge, honesty is all of the m・ Lie, however, is none. But it remains a contentious and critical issue to ask whether or not tell ing lie should n ever be en couraged. Two prevai ling theories have bee n widely accepted. One is to firmly advocate honesty and thus claim that to tell lies is sin. Lies are always destruetive, devastative, and devil. This is mainly a sacred rather than secular preaching. According to this school of philosophy, or rather a kind of deontology, lies impair (hamper) the social ethos, blemish human souls, vitiate the personality and dignity, debase the social justice, and canker the health of civi1ization. Admittedly, such a sublime and supreme transcendentai, divine doctrine symbolizes the zenith of human spirit・Unfortunately, man is but an animal, or at most, a social animal as Aristotle termed. In the pragmatic mundane world, most of us humble mortals would find it sanctimonious, Pharisaic, or hypocritica1・ Devil it may be, but it is necessary at least from pragmatic point of view. This is what the second theory assumed. This approach is correctly termed as "Functionalism school v・For one thing, the level with which they utilized to prize human affairs is practical concerns. They advocate both lies and truth with little difference if both means can meet lheir ends・For another, the fulcrum on which the level functions is neither religion nor philosophy, but human behavior. What they used to vindicate for tel ling lies is not moral concerns but that under certain circumstances to tel 1 1 ie helps both the 1 iar and the dupe. They try neither to justify the righteousness of lies nor do they attempt to exculpate those who tel 1 1 ies ・ In stead, they warra nt that lies, as any implement human use such as a knife, a fork, anda pen, should not be blamed in case they contribute 1ittle to human beings.实用总结:雅思考试写作经典图表范文1930-1980五十年间五个国家囚禁犯人的数据情况中广网北京6月13 口消息该图表对比的是1930-1980五十年间五个国家囚禁犯人的数据情况。
