Globalization, for good or ill, is here to stay. But what is globalization? Globalization is an attempt to abolish barriers, especially in trade. In fact, globalization has been around longer than you might think.

Globalization, as a concept, refers both to the "shrinking" of the world and the increased consciousness of the world as a whole. It is a term used to describe the changes in societies and the world economy that are the result of dramatically increased cross-border trade, investment, and cultural exchange. The processes and actions to which the concept of globalization now refers have been proceeding, with some interruptions, for many centuries, but only in relatively recent times has globalization become a main focus of discussion. The current or recently-past epoch of globalization has been dominated by the nation-state, national economies, and national cultural identities. The new form of globalization is an interconnected world and global mass culture, often referred to as a "global village."

Good morning, everyone!I am deeply honored to give this speech, today, what I want to say is the impact of globalization and the attitude we should hold.

In most people’s minds, globalization refers to the unimpeded flows of capital, labor and technology across national borders, the world is gradually becoming a whole, connected and indivisible. Globalization is the inevitable trend of the development of human society, and it is changing the world.

In the era of economic globalization, cross-border transactions are everywhere. Many people engage in abroad business, as a result, some people’s national awareness gradually turns to be very weak. There are even some people saying that national identity makes no difference for them. I don't agree with this idea at all. There is a saying that businessmen feel at home wherever they are. However,as a matter of fact, each businessman has only one home, the place where he was born and grew up.Cite an example,a Chinese who has been working overseas for many years can't lose his sense of national awareness to China because of the long time stay in the overseas.Working abroad gives him the material life he wants, but his roots are still in China, which is his emotional attribution. He is a Chinese wherever he is,this sense of belonging can’t be lost.

Globalization, or globalisation, is the process of interaction and integration among people, companies, and governments worldwide. Globalization has accelerated in recent years due to advances in technology, communication, and transportation. This has led to increased economic, cultural, and political connections between countries. One of the key drivers of globalization is trade. As barriers to trade have been reduced, companies are able to operate on a global scale, sourcing materials from one country, manufacturing products in another, and selling them in yet another. This has led to the rise of multinational corporations that have a presence in multiple countries around the world.Globalization has also had a significant impact on culture. Through the exchange of ideas, traditions, and beliefs, cultures have become more interconnected. For example, the spread of American fast food chains like McDonald's to countries around the world has led to a homogenization of global cuisine. In terms of politics, globalization has led to the formation of international organizations like the United Nations and the World Trade Organization. These organizations work to promote cooperation and address global issues such as climate change, terrorism, and human rights.Critics of globalization argue that it has led to the widening gap between rich and poor countries. Developed countries often benefit from globalization by outsourcing labor to developing countries where wages arelower. This can result in job losses and lower wages for workers in developed countries.Despite its drawbacks, globalization also has its benefits. It has allowed for the free flow of information and ideas, leading to advancements in technology and medicine. Globalization has also helped to reduce poverty in many developing countries through increased trade and investment. In conclusion, globalization is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that has both positive and negative impacts. As the world becomes more interconnected, it is important for countries to work together to address the challenges that come with globalization while striving to maximize its benefits for all people.。

Globalization is a complex and multifaceted phenomenon that has had both positive and negative effects on the world. On the one hand, globalization has facilitated greater interconnectedness and interdependence between countries, leading to increased trade, cultural exchange, and technological innovation. This has resulted in economic growth, improved living standards, and the spread of ideas and knowledge across borders. However, globalization has also been a source of controversy and concern, as it has been associated with the erosion of local cultures, environmental degradation, and widening economic inequality. One of the most significant benefits of globalization is its role in promoting economic development and reducing poverty. Globalization has opened up new markets and opportunities for trade, allowing countries to specialize intheir comparative advantages and benefit from the exchange of goods and services. This has led to increased productivity, higher incomes, and improved access to goods and services for many people around the world. In addition, globalization has facilitated the spread of technology and knowledge, enabling countries to access new ideas and innovations that can lead to further economic growth and development.Furthermore, globalization has also had a positive impact on cultural exchange and understanding. As people from different countries and cultures interact more frequently, they are exposed to new ideas, beliefs, and customs, leading to greater cultural diversity and understanding. This can help to break down stereotypes and prejudices, and promote a more inclusive and tolerant global community. In addition, globalization has facilitated the spread of popular culture, such as music, film, and fashion, allowing people to appreciate and enjoy the diversity of cultural expressions from around the world. However, despite these positive aspects, globalization has also brought with it a range of negative consequences. One of the most significant drawbacks of globalization is its impact on local cultures and traditions. As globalized markets and media dominate the world, the influence of traditional and indigenous cultures has diminished, leading to a homogenization of cultural expressions and practices. This has raised concerns about the loss of cultural diversity and the erosion of local identities, as well as the potential for cultural imperialism and the dominance of Western values and norms. In addition, globalization has also been associated with environmental degradation and the exploitation of natural resources. The increased interconnectedness and interdependence between countries has led to greater pressure on the environment, as the demand for goods and services has led to increased consumption and production. This has resulted in deforestation, pollution, and the depletion ofnatural resources, leading to adverse effects on the environment and ecosystems. Furthermore, the expansion of globalized supply chains and production has led to concerns about labor exploitation and working conditions in developing countries, where companies may prioritize cost-efficiency over the welfare of workers. Moreover, globalization has also been linked to widening economic inequality, as the benefits of economic growth have not been shared equally among all individuals and countries. The increased competition and integration of global markets has led to winners and losers, with some countries and individuals benefiting from globalization, while others have been marginalized and left behind. This has led todisparities in income and wealth, as well as limited access to resources and opportunities for many people around the world. In conclusion, while globalization has brought about many positive changes and advancements, it has also been a source of controversy and concern. The benefits of economic development, cultural exchange, and technological innovation have been accompanied by negative consequences, including the erosion of local cultures, environmental degradation, and widening economic inequality. As globalization continues to shape the world, it is important to consider its impacts and find ways to maximize its benefits while mitigating its drawbacks. Only through careful consideration and collaboration can the world harness the potential of globalization for the betterment of all.。

Like many young people my age in China, I want to see my country get prosperous and enjoying respect in the international community. But it seems to me that mere patriotism is not just enough. It is vitally important that we young people do more serious thinking and broaden our mind to bigger issues. And, there might never be easy answers to those issues such as globalization, but to take them on and give them honest thinking is the first step to be prepared for both opportunities and challenges coming our way. And this is also one of the thoughts that came to me while preparing this speech. Thank you.
With the IT revolution taking place, traditional boundaries of human society fall away. Our culture, politics, society and commerce are being sloshed into a large melting pot of humanity. In this interlinked world, there are no outsiders, for a disturbance in one place is likely to impact other parts of the globe. We have begun to realize that a world divided cannot endure. China is now actively integrating into the world. Our recent entry to the WTO is a good example. For decades, we have taken pride in being self-reliant, but now we realize the importance of participating in and contributing to a broader economic order. From the precarious role in the world arena to our present WTO membership, we have come a long way.

Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen: Today I'm very happy to be here to share with you some of my thoughts on the topic of Globalization. And first of all, I would like to mention an event in our recent history. Thirty years ago, American President Richard Nixon made an epoch-making visit to China, a country still isolated at that time. Premier Zhou Enlai said to him, "Your handshake came over the vastest ocean in the world - twenty-five years of no communication."
For China, still more challenges exist. How are we going to ensure a smooth transition from the planned economy to a market-based one? How to construct a legal system that is sound enough and broad enough to respond to the needs of a dynamic society? How to maintain our cultural identity in an increasingly homogeneous world? And how to define greatness in our rise as a peace-loving nation? Globalization entails questions ቤተ መጻሕፍቲ ባይዱhat concern us all.
Ever since then, China and America have exchanged many handshakes of various kinds. The fundamental implication of this example is that the need and desire to communicate across differences in culture and ideology .As we can see today, environmentalists from different countries are making joint efforts to address the issue of global warming, economists are seeking solutions to financial crises that rage in a particular region but nonetheless cripple the world's economy, and diplomats and politicians are getting together to discuss the issue of combating terrorism. Peace and prosperity has become a common goal that we are striving for all over the world. Underlying this mighty trend of globalization is the echo of E. M. Forester's words, "Only connect!" s not only felt by the two countries but by many other nations as well.
But what does the way ahead look like? In some parts of the world people are demonstrating against globalization. Are they justified then, in criticizing the globalizing world? Instead of narrowing the gap between the rich and the poor, they say, globalization enables developed nations to swallow the developing nations' wealth in debts and interest. Globalization, they argue, should be about an earnest interest in every other nation's economic health.
