母亲节的由来：

? 母亲节起源于美国。1906年5月9日，美国费城的安娜・贾薇丝的母亲不幸去世，悲痛万分的她在次年母亲周年忌日，组织了追思母亲的活动，并鼓励他人也以类似方式来表达对各自慈母的感激之情。此后，她到处游说并向社会各界呼吁，号召设立母亲节。她的呼吁获得热烈响应。美国参众两院通过决议案，决定每年5月的第二个星期日为母亲节。

这一举措引起世界各国纷纷仿效。

国际上献给母亲的花是康乃馨，它在纤细青翠的花茎上，开着鲜艳美丽的花朵，花瓣紧凑而不易凋落，叶片细长而不易卷曲，花朵雍容富丽，姿态高雅别致。

Once there was a tree…...

从前有一棵树……

And

she loved

a

little boy.

她好爱一个小男孩。

And every day

the boy

would come

每天男孩都会跑来，

gather

leaves

And make them

into crowns

He would climb up her trunk 男孩会爬上树干，

in her shade.

And the boy loved the tree…..

And the tree was happy

But time went by.

日子一天天过去，

And the boy grew older.

男孩长大了。

And the tree was often alone.

树常常好孤独。

Then one day the boy came to the tree and the tree said,”Come, Boy, come and climb up my trunk and swing from my branches and eat apples and play in my shade and be “happy”

“I am too big to climb and play”said the boy. “I want to buy thing and have fun. I want some money.

Can you give me some money?” I’m sorry” said the tree,”but I have no money. I have only leaves and apples.

Take my apples, Boy, and sell them in city. Then you will have money and you’ll be happy”

树说：「来啊，孩子，来，爬上我的树干，抓著我树枝荡秋千，吃吃苹果，在我的树荫下玩耍，快快乐乐的！」

有一天

男孩来到树下

「我要买东西来玩，我要钱。你可以o我一些钱吗？」

「我不是小孩子了，我不要

爬树和玩耍。」男孩说。

「真抱歉。」树说「我]有钱。

我只有树叶和苹果。孩子，

拿我的苹果到城里去卖。这样，

你就会有钱，你就会快乐了。」

And so the boy climb up the

tree and gathered

her apples

and carried them away.

And the tree was happy.
