One possible version:

Music is one kind of common languages of human beings. There are different types of music in the world, including classic music, pop music, country music, Blue, Rock & roll, etc. Music can influence people’s moods . It can convey thoughts and feelings too, so it promotes understanding between people. Today more and more young people are fond of music, and music has become the most common and universal way of entertainment.

Several days ago, I met a stranger in the street who stopped and asked me for direction. I offered to show him the way to the destination（目的地），but to my surprise, he coldly refused my offer. I asked him why.

Finally he told me that he was afriad I would ask him for money if I helped him in this way.

Money! I fell deep into thought, Is it money that comes between us? Money itself has no problem, and it cannot be connected with good or bad.

Then the problem lies in what attitude we have towards it.

At present, we have a more beautiful material life than ever before, but we are becoming more and more cold-hearted. Why? In my opinion, the key is the change in personal values. They wrongly believe that making money should be their only aim in life, so they try to think up all sors of way they can to realize this aim.

They are afraid of being cheated and fooled. If everyone acts like this, what will our society be like?

Needless to say, money is becoming more and more important in our society, but it should not be the “be-all and end-all” of life. If a person only concentrates on money, he will be lonely and void, even go astray(误入歧途)

It is up to us to make our lives happy, not money. We should try our best to help others whole-hearted and frely. If everyone does so, our society will be better and better.
