I. Analysis of the Teaching Material

1. Status and Function

In this unit students learn to talk about imaginary situations. Such topic enables students to activate their imagination and raises learning interest of students.

All the students are active in such activities.

一、教材分析：

本节课的核心话题为“I used to be afraid of the dark”，围绕着谈论过去自己和他人过去经常做的事，谈论自己和他人过去的外貌性格爱好。学习句型used to 为主要学习任务，并且设置任务型综合性语

言实践活动，让学生在交际活动中，学会如何正确地用英语表达自己

的意见和建议，重在培养学生的习得语言运用能力、实践能力、合作

二、学情分析：

在学习本单元之前，本年级学生已经学习过了一些描写人物外貌

的词汇和句型。对于本单元的学习，大部分学生已经有了一定的学习

基础, 但由于学生自觉性差，很少能够自觉做好课前预习和课后复习，所以课前可以给些时间让他们熟悉下本节课的内容

1、知识和技能目标：本单元通过对人物外貌和性格变化的描写，

以used to 结构的表达为主要内容，进行多角度的练习，同时应注意

对于性格，外貌的形容词的使用
